I requested a deep clean, inside cabinets, washed walls the works my appointment was changed several times due to cleaners calling out sick. the 2 women who came had very little time and did literally a surface cleaning. not the deep cleaning I expected. not recommended but NOT the cleaners fault. BAD MANAGEMENT I should have been told that they could not accommodate my request read more

Honestly have no idea if their cleaning work was good because they showed up 5 hours early without confirming that the time could work. I don't mind if a team makes an assumption based on details in a conversation but there was zero acknowledgement of the change and only a yelp message the night previous to confirm it. No calls, texts, or emails after providing all my contact info. Instead. They sent their team to my door at 8AM without confirming - just wasting everyone's time. I get changes can happen and that's fine if properly communicated. I already found another cleaning service who handled my concerns clearly and timely while also being sure to actually confirm the time of appointment in multiple ways. I do not recommend this team purely based on their coordination, I'm sure their cleaning capabilities are fine but you better be over communicating with them to get the right work done. Tighten up total clean - don't send your team without confirmation. read more

Total Clean cleans my apartment every week, and they always do a great job. But I have to give a shout out to Alejandra and Claudia who cleaned my place on Friday-- they took a drawer that was so stuffed full of plastic bags I could never get it to close, and organized it so that it was neat and the drawer was able to close again! That was so unexpected and such an awesome surprise. I don't have a before picture, but trust me-- this after is way way way better than it was. Thank you Alejandra and Claudia!!! (FYI- I accidentally put this on the Oakland Total Clean branch first, but I meant to put it here! Please disregard the duplicate if you see it ) read more

Total Clean - Wonderfully organized drawer-- thank you!! - Home Cleaning Near Me - Orinda, California

Basically didn't touch the floors in an empty house, and since I didn't tell them this within 24 hours decided the floors had somehow gotten dirty in the meantime. Also didn't do basic dusting, which I could have done myself if I realized $300 wasn't going to get it done. They were on time, so there was that. I just am genuinely not sure what they actually did while they were there. I won't say I won't use them again, since the choices on Yelp around here seem to be pretty slim, but you can see for yourself what the floors looked like when they were "done". read more

I'm very particular. Prefer my cleaning supplies & my vac. Angela & Gabriela from Total Clean work with me & meet my requests with no hesitation. The Angela Gabriela team is efficient but thorough. They don't rush leaving things undone. They're careful...there's been no damage. The team is Friendly too. They do things I don't do like windex full length mirror & dust everywhere including ledges on kitchen & bathroom cabinets & window sills. Any special issues such as skip an area or extra clean an area No problem. Definitely recommend Angela & Gabriela & Total Clean. Office has been easy to schedule & good communication. read more

I had a great experience with Total Clean- Oakland. They did a deep clean for my 2 bedroom 1 bath home and left the place in great condition! While we always aim for an even playing field, we employed the same house cleaner for more than twenty years. She is an immigrant, a most welcome one, and her back story is horrific. It is a long story, one that describes her as an intelligent (she was a teacher in Bosnia), driven survivor. She came to us needing work. A short interview made us proud to have her with us. She threw herself into her work and within a decade she owned property, never asking for our assistance. And our home was pristine. An inspiration. She now has moved on from cleaning and with her as a barometer, this company falls embarrassingly short. They came on strong, three ladies for two hours, but even then the scope and effectiveness of their work fell short. Now, as time passes, the quality wanes and we will soon be looking elsewhere. read more

Total Clean is amazing! The response to my initial inquiry was immediate and very helpful. Questions answered, information complete, appointment made for deep cleaning. Angela and Gabriela arrived on time and went right to work. They both worked non-stop for five hours and we are thrilled with the result. The oven looks brand new. The ceiling fans are dust-free. Baseboards are clean -- even behind the bed! I could go on.... Total Clean is the best! read more

I could not be happier! I have been using Total Clean for a few months now for bi-weekly house cleaning. I literally happy-dance around my house from room to room every time the ladies are finished, at how wonderfully clean my house is. (We have three small boys and a dog, so it's no small feat!) They have lifted a huge layer of stress off our lives due to their quick, thorough, reliable, and absolutely excellent work. read more

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience with total clean, from top to bottom. They responded promptly to my messages and sent cleaners out the next day. We had discussed a 75 minute clean, where two people would come to my apt, clean the bathroom, floors and walls to prepare me for move out. I agreed to pay an amount for that amount of time. The next day, my roommate is at the house when they get there, and when they leave, hands them cash and they tell him that in cleaning they ruined the toilet seat. He leaves, having to do something else. The next day, I get an invoice claiming I owed more than they I agreed to and that I hadn't paid. When I confront them about this, they claim the cleaners had been there for 90 minutes, which is simply not true. They agreed to settle on the original price. I then go to the apt to take one last look and it has absolutely not been cleaned. There are areas of the floor where there is clearly dirt. There are cobwebs in corners and scuffs on the walls so they obviously didn't touch the walls and the bathroom is covered in the residue from their cleaning products. The knobs of the shower hadn't even been touched. I ended up having to clean all of the things they said they would and deal with all of this. Bad experience read more
