What the hell. This is "A Place at Home" all over again. Nobody knows what is going on. Questions aren't answered. Caregivers don't show up. Caregivers sit through their whole shifts, even though they've been "talked to" about doing just that. I could go on... read more

They type of care is specialized to the needs of the client. They take the time to pair compatible Caregivers with the client. The Caregiver becomes like part of the family. Every experience has been positive with Caregivers that have only come once. They also have great communication with letting me know if anything has come up to replace my usual Caregiver. And working around my scheduling needs. read more

We have had TCC provide home health care for my parents for about 5 years and have spent a total of about $160,000 on their service. My dad is a 100% disabled vet, a diabetic, and 93 years old. The VA covers some of his care by directly billing TCC. Additional hours of care are paid out of pocket. Initially, this company was okay, and had some good caregivers - a few were outstanding. That's changed significantly over the last several years and since COVID. During COVID I had to post signs on the door to make sure the caregivers wore face masks around my parents, and most of the time they didn't. A couple of times the VA nurse visiting scolded them. That shouldn't have been a requirement for a health care company. The best caregivers my parents had left for other jobs. Last three years they have had huge turnover. The caregivers are completely untrained and most don't do anything around the house, like dishes and laundry. Most can't prepare meals. A lot of them just play with their phones and don't do anything. Some have even taken naps during the evening. Not what I expect for $31.19 per hour. The worst is that they don't have coverage for staff that call in sick, leaving my parents to sleep in their chairs or stay in bed for 2+ additional hours. They often end up soiling themselves. This happened about 6 times the first two years of service, and has increased significantly over the last two years. In the last two weeks alone it has occurred three times. TCC boasts they are the largest and highest rated provider in southern Arizona. I don't know the basis of those claims, but if that's true, the industry is doomed. We've complained to TCC management, and we are trying to file a formal complaint with the VA. Also looking for alternative providers covered by VA, and at a minimum, changing the provider paid out of pocket. It's disgusting, and TCC owner Daniel Stringer should be ashamed. Kudos to their business manager Karrie - she's the only person I have dealt with that is respectful and professional. read more

I have been an employee of TCC for five years. Being employed here has been the best decision I have ever made. We are a family owned business that promotes a supportive and encouraging environment. Each person is truly part of a team that genuinely cares about each other and our clients. The office staff are top notch individuals who know how to communicate and problem solve with empathy and compassion. Our Care/Nursing staff are the best at what they do, being thoroughly trained and compensated adequately for their service. Two stars only because of the 2 caregivers we experienced with Total care, Leeza was wonderful, attentive and caring. The 2nd showed up an hour and 15 minutes late, putting added panic and stress on my dad, which is what we were trying to avoid by hiring a caregiver. Then she clocks 3 hrs and 15 minutes for her 3 hour shift, which again, she was over an hour late. She was told she could go after 3 hours. Total care charged the extra fraudulent 15 minutes and will not refund. Said it can go towards credit, which is ridiculous since we have now found 24/7 care and told them we no longer need their services. Also, it took a week after in home assessment before they contacted us with any schedule. They did not communicate with each other regarding our needs and requests. After notifying Ben we no longer need their services and he said he would pass it to the team, 20 minutes later someone from scheduling called to say they couldn't find anyone for tomorrow, but had someone for the next day. We had to tell them no, we already started 24/7 care with another agency that didn't have the distance or staffing issues they had. read more

On the job for 3 days, so to speak! But in reality, the first day spent a hour explaining the needs and our house etc. When I returned at end of their shift I found food left out, my dads urinal not emptied and a few other things. Next day caregiver showed up 30 min late, so I had to rearrange my schedule. The 3rd day was a no show, she called me to say she was sick and the total care people called an hour before the shift started to let me know they did not have a replacement. So far this company has cost me more money in lost work than they saved me! Useless! read more

Well, that would be lying and I refused so I called the office., the manager said she had never heard that before about my care taker and I knew that wasn't true because my friend here in the same complex had the exact same issue and had brought it up to her every three months. After I asked that caretaker not to come back the office booked 3 different appointments with me over a period of six weeks one every two weeks. First visit nobody showed up no phone call from the office . I called after a half hour. They apologize said it was an error of non-communication . The second visit exact same thing happened. I called the office. I'm so sorry it was an error of communication.. The third visit the caretaker did not show up and there was no phone call . I once again called the office and the exact same excuse was I said this isn't disorganization this feels intentional. The woman on the phone was rude condescending and said well you fired your housekeeper.. I said yes because they were dishonest and billing hours that they weren't working. Why would you allow that? To me not an honest company to work with starting with the management down.

5 Stars - Exceptional Care and a True Friend I cannot say enough good things about Total Care Connections and especially about my caregiver, Vernon. From the very beginning, the company has been professional, responsive, and truly caring. They clearly take pride in matching the right caregiver with each client, and in my case, they got it absolutely right. Vernon has been such a blessing in my life. I'll be honest--I'm not the easiest person to help. I can be particular and set in my ways, but Vernon has handled everything with patience, kindness, and a great sense of humor. He sees areas that need attention before I even mention them and quietly takes care of things without making me feel like a burden. He consistently helps me with medication reminders, laundry, and keeping my home organized. My mom has Parkinson's, is essentially bedridden and needs assistance dressing, bathing, etc. My mom's caregiver is wonderful with her, can handle her and knows how to get her focused. Total Care Connections is one of the largest home care companies in Arizona and Colorado. The caregivers are second to none. All of the staff are provided with state-approved caregiver certifications.
