We had great expectation for this place based on the review but was so disappointed with the food. The garlic bread was a joke, we asked for cheese on the bread and it was cold and hard. The wings were hard and lacked flavor . The cheesesteak had so less cheese and am pretty sure some parts of the meat were colder than others. This is our "local" pizzeria. The food is excellent and the owner is very friendly. The only downside is that they have become a victim of their success. Friday and Saturday evenings are so busy that they can't keep up. Skip the weekend madness and try this place on a (much) quieter weekday. Pizzas are good, but their entrees are the stars. Tosco's pizza is okay. Their entrees and cheesesteaks, on the other hand, are fantastic. I've been going here for years, and have tried just about everything on the menu. My favorites are the gnocchi in rosa sauce w/ meatballs and the chicken parm. The portions are huge....always plenty of leftovers for lunch and even dinner the following day. The past two times I was there, the place was a mob scene. There was a wait to be seated, and the line for takeout was nearly out the door. I'm very happy for the owner as he's a very nice guy, and his business is obviously thriving, but it has definitely impacted the service. We waited much too long for our drinks and even longer for our food. I'm sure I will go back, but I'll make sure it's not as crowded when I do. read more

We drive 40 minutes round trip to go to Tosco. The best Italian food and the only meatballs we like that aren't made by our Italian moms. Always perfectly cooked pasta, and fresh ingredients. Also excellent pizza. Always a winner and worth the trip. read more

I'm new to the neighborhood and was hoping to find a good place for quick Italian food and this place gets my approval. I've been back 3 times already and have enjoyed every visit. The pizza is great quality and many choices. It folds like New York pizza and the mozzarella is high quality and stretches forever. The cheesesteaks are also better than the ones from Conshy and Norristown. The Chicken Parm is my favorite with tasty sauce and good bread. They were on time and had everything we agreed upon. My guests ate and were very complimentary of the food. My husband stopped in for take out today after work. Our first time ever getting food there. It is definitely our last. Our order was a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, a plain cheesesteak, and an order of loaded fries. Our total was $20.94! The sandwiches are only 8". Neither sandwich had any flavor. The french fries were so overcooked - almost burnt. They were brown. Their loaded fries taste nothing like everyone else's around here. I'm not really sure what the toppings were, other than bacon. The food was such a let down and really overpriced. I wish I could upload pictures. We'll never go there again. We'll stick to Affamato's, Main Street Pizza, and Baldini's. read more

While the food is a hit or miss, I've been pleased but I've also been wrought with diarrhea after eating here. Food is overpriced for what you get. There's this bullshit with an up-charge for certain sauces for pasta dishes(I'm NOT talking meat sauces, which are understood to be pricer, I mean vodka sauces and cream sauces). Are you specifically growing and crafting these sauces for individual customers? Sometimes the desserts you're served are still frozen, when they shouldn't be. This has been my best pizza experience since I have lived in the area for the past year and a half. I am gluten free and my husband is fairly picky with his pizza. We go to Tosco's at least once a week. They do everyone perfect; from their delicious pizza (taco pizza is amazing!) and wonderful salads (my favorite is the Tuscan with chicken -which comes with the green garden vinaigrette, which is superb and homemade-just absolutely delicious, even though they will not give me the recipe!!!), their awesome pasta dishes ( my favorite is the chicken and spinach with penne) and entrees. Everything on the menu is equally as delicious!!! You get wonderful portions for the price and everything is cooked perfectly. The owners are very nice and also very experienced, caring people. The only question I have on this thread is: everyone gave wonderful reviews-just wondering why two only have 4 stars because, in my opinion, they certainly deserve 5 on every one of them!!!! read more

sometime ago my dad was ordering sandwhices from them alot and kinda new the the young owner, afterwork my dad invited my to have diner after work. so he wanted to go to tosco since he went there alot . we ordered pasta dishes with saugage my dad had veal i believe the pasta had such a bad taste or the sauce did it was pretty bad so my dad called the young man over in a very friendly manner. and told him about what was going on with the sauce he said it seems find to me without even tasting it. we were both thrown back. never said well can i get you guys something else. nothing or even take it off the bill i took mine home to feed are dog at work poor petey got sick after eating it threw up. my mistake my dad yelled at me. lol that was the last time we were there never went back. it was handled bad !! read more

Tosco is a local BYOB. I've eaten here several times and they are a good value, huge portions and a pretty standard pizzeria/sandwich shop menu. But I have to rave about the salad entrees. There is a choice of small or large. Go with the small, trust me. The Palm Beach salad has diced mango, roasted bell pepper, walnuts, dried cranberries, tomatoes, onion and Kalamata olives. And if that wasn't enough, the rim of the bowl is decorated with 4 hot, crispy butterflied fried shrimp. Every bite was delicious. The small portion is under $9 and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. The restaurant is clean and bright and the service is attentive. My only complaint is the decibel level. The walls and floors are tile and there or no soft surfaces to absorb the noise. There are often large parties booked and the restaurant is usually full at meal times, causing everyone to raise their voices, which makes the din overwhelming. This is a minor quibble though. If you are looking for a romantic setting for a date night this is not your place but for a boisterous family dinner Tosco is perfect. read more

This place is a hit or miss. Service is sometimes great, other times terrible. Some of the young girls that work here as servers are a little ditzy, which accounts for the bad service I have experienced...In the past I would have said the food was good. However, I had a small get together for Halloween, which we ordered a couple pizzas for. The plain pizza was good, but the others that we ordered with toppings were so loaded that we could not even pick up a single slice without the whole thing falling apart. The pizza was literally paper thin, too many toppings(watery pizza), with barely any cheese. Gross! We were all so disappointed! This place has definitely improved in service and atmosphere! They have renovated the dining room, which now appears more like a restaurant than a pizzeria. The pizza is very good, but the cheesesteaks could use a little more steak. Tosco's is good. the sandwiches I've had have been pretty good, but the pizza as of late has been mediocre. the cheese completely comes off when you take one bite. I've only done take out the past 5 years, but any times I sat to eat were good experiences service-wise. I'd recommend if it's a convenient trip, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more
