Bad customer service, rude manager & employees, order delayed by 1 hour with no notification

Ordered from here delivery via DoorDash on Friday of our convention. Our convention consigliere Nicholas (Not his name) gave it a rave review so we went to it for lunch. I ordered the chicken suprimo (cutlet, mozz, pesto) and added tomato and balsamic. Looking back I should have looked for a comparable sub without the chicken bc just a caprese type sub would have been applicable. With it being delivery the cutlet got soggy but overall a decent sub. Would recommend a dine-in to get a proper feel and taste. read more

One of the best sandwich chains on the planet right here in the Philly area. Fell in love with Primos the first time I had a taste and it continues today. Great rolls and sandwich options. Happy they now offer a seedless roll in all sizes. The Diablo sandwiches are good, as are the hoagies and the cutlet sandwiches. Love me a Nellie and the Bada Boom. This is the first place I experienced Cooper Sharp American Cheese. I still remember the first time I went to the acme and the delight I experienced when I saw it in the deli section. I am now a recovering Cooper sharp addict, that is truly the crack of cheeses! They do a good job getting your orders right, and label each sandwich which is a big plus when picking up multiple hoagies. This location is easily visible and accessible from Egypt Rd going East. Otherwise, the entrance is a little tricky where you need to go into the shopping center and circle around the building. The hoagies are exactly what you expect from a Primos. Good rolls and fresh ingredients. The selection of types and customization is always welcome. The main style is the Italian, there are so many versions! mild, Diablo, aged, strong. There is also a good selection of non-Italian styles either normal or Diablo. There are several vegetarian options a as well. The sides are good quality for any tailgate or cookout. Pricing is a little high averaging around $12-16 for a Primo size hoagie (large enough for two people). read more

You can't throw a stick in the Philly area without hitting a hoagie place! Of course, many of them are little Ma & Pa private joints and lots of them make a damn good hoagie. And then there is Primo which is a sizable chain. Across all of them there are hundreds if not thousands of reviews and four things stand out. Two are good and two are not but you've got to give it up to them for consistency. 1. The hoagies here are expensive. Most people get the "Primo" size which is about 10". You're going to pay at least $2 and maybe $3 more for your sandwich then most other places. That's a lot of extra dough for one sandwich. In most cases you can count on a sandwich and chips lunch to go over $10. 2. The service at his location is poor but what's weird is I've found that to be true at most every location I visit. The staff has this don't-give-a-damn attitude that is really annoying. It's so consistent I think they must train them that way. 3. They use very high quality meats, cheeses, and bread. Lots of folks say that and I agree with them. You can tell just by looking at your sandwich that it's top quality. 4. Finally, it's a very, very good hoagie. The flavors work together well and the portion size is good. The roll is amazing as long as you like the "hard" Italian style. I love the "Diablos" variety. This location is often mobbed. Folks are willing to put up with #1 and #2 in order to enjoy #3 and #4. It's a great sandwich but the overall experience is three stars for me. read more

I ordered 2 primo size hoagies yesterday evening and when I got home found both to be not close to the quality that I have always cone to expect at any Primo locations. They were skimpy with the meat to say the least, the rolls were not in good condition, and the overall construction of the sandwiches was awful. I should have returned them but by the time I would have gotten back to this location, they would already be close. I made sone comments in the primo website and received a call from who I assume was the manger of the franchise. And all I can say is the customer service that I received was worse than the food, and very insulting to a long time and loyal customer. read more

This place is so overrated. "Overstuffed" with air maybe. I ate there years ago and the sandwiches were huge. Now they charge $11.59 for a ten inch sandwich that is half empty. Hopefully they close up shop soon. Primo is hardly what they have become. Lamo is more like it. read more

Recently my local Primos closed down (KoP). Figured I'd give this location a shot, and WOW sums it up. Amazing customer service, ultra friendly employees, clean and unbelievably quick service. I placed my order at the counter, then walked out to my car (right out front) for my phone to keep myself occupied while I waited. I love PrimoHoagies, but the one that operates in Norristown,Pa is a joke!!! I have two incidents one issue was that they made my sandwich with the wrong meat.... Now my new issue is I arrived to the store on this date 4/10/22 on a Sunday, lights are on and a sign that's says open is lite up... Go to open the door and it's locked. Well apparently they put a receipt on the door (hand written) that states "will be back in 10min" I got back in my car and called the store and no answer. Two customers has walked up and I told them it's locked. One of the customers told me that it's was three teenagers in the back of the store with the back door open just hanging out. Sorry but whoever owns and operates this store I feel sorry for you. read more

I was eating a meatball sandwich from Primo's the other day (not the first time) and that was when I realized...wow, this is the best meatball sandwich I've ever had. It really, seriously is. I highly recommend the meatball sandwich with sharp provolone. I haven't tried anything else from there (yet), but I've received positive reviews from others as well. Visited Primo for my first time today for lunch. By the way the place was packed I was expecting some amazing food. The hoagies were good, but not great. My coworker and I agreed that the sandwiches weren't particularly flavorful but they are packed pretty good with meat though. The other thing neither of us cared too much for was the hard rolls. They're the Italian style that can make your gums bleed they're so stiff. The hoagies come in 3 sizes; small, primo and whole. It looked like the primo is what most people get. It's about an 10 inch hoagie. The sandwiches aren't cheap as hoagies go in fact they're a little pricey, at least compared to most pizza/hoagie shops. The bill for 2 primo size hoagies, 2 sodas and a small bag of chips was $20. Expect to pay between $7 and $10 for one primo. The service here is good and the food is decent, but when I'm paying almost $9 for a hoagie I really expect to be wowed and the hoagies here just don't do it for me. Still, nothing major to complain about so I have to give an honest 3 stars. read more

Primo is a franchise chain. The quality, which is solid, rarely deviates from one store to another. If you're a visitor, and have no direction but want a hoagie, Primo is for you. That being said: Our office, being in the adjacent industrial park, places orders at this location about once every two weeks. They were okay up until we started up with the "call ahead" strategy: Both times, we called in lunch (about 4-5 sandwiches, hot and cold) and received a "20 minutes till ready" estimate. Not bad, only, it took about an hour both times. We typically don't show up until 10 minutes after the estimated time too. Usually not good enough. After paying, we can see them actually starting some sandwiches in our order (last time they didn't start some until I asked about it after 50 minutes from calling in!). Your best bet, if ordering from here, order in. Calling ahead will do no good because doing so defaults to a lower order priority. And if you order a hot sandwich, the place goes bat crazy, so stick to the classics. read more

Best rolls, best lunchmeat...PERIOD! You can really sink your teeth into the seeded roll and the lunchmeat is satisfying and not greasy at all. I often go for a Turkey or Roast Beef (or combine the two on the "Audie"). The Schwartzie (coleslaw and Russian) is good and the Bada Bing (chicken cutlet + broccoli rabe) is delicious as long as you can eat it while it's still hot. It's true that Primo makes the best hoagies (Bada Boom FTW!), but for the promptness of the service I had here, I prefer going to the city ones. Every time I come here I am amazed at the consistency. Most places are hit or miss when it comes to making the experience and food to a similar standard and quality they did before. When this location opened in 2008 and Christian DeLuca ran the place, it was a great spot to grab lunch. The staff got the job done right and quickly. Once Christian departed for a different Primo location, the slide began. I think it gets worse every time I show up, and now I question why I even do anymore. There's been a complete staff turnover, possibly even several times. It appears they are ALWAYS understaffed. Slow service is usually the norm. The sandwiches seem skimpier, too. For the price you pay for a Primo hoagie, they at least would serve a serious sandwich that made the price bearable. This location is central to a lot of offices and businesses that frequent the area fast food establishments for lunch. If this place keeps up the blah product/service, they may stop coming. I usually grab Charlie's Pizza or Via's, But I was being lazy and did not want to make a left turn so I ended up at Primo's. This location is much better than the KOP location (in the Giant shopping center) in my opinion, but not from the surface. You need to look deeper when understanding the full scope of why. When you dine in here, they give you a basket with wax paper for your sub instead of a cheap paper plate. The rolls are better at the Norristown location, the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onions, etc) are more crisp, the napkins are thicker, and the service is better. As Primo's is the quintessential franchise, all these little details stems from the ownership (which is better) and they add up to make a better hoagie and a better experience at the end of the day. In terms of food, the Turkey Diablo is one of the greatest hoagies ever invented. It's a piece of art. It stands alone in the realm of all things cold cuts. Someone could bare ass fart in my Turkey Diablo and I wouldn't hesitate to devour it. It's that good. read more
