Its true that most times we have tunnel vision and dont see the things right in front of us. When Im on my way to work thats what I think about so I really hadnt noticed this spa that opened up on a block I walk nearly every day. I found about about them on the spa week site. Spa week had $50 treatments and I decided to try their hot stone massage with my hunny. (ive been to several spas around the country and this was his first spa experience) The place for the most part was empty when we arrived, no biggie, just more time to talk with my favorite man. We were escorted to the room for the couples massages. I really liked my masseuse, she didnt talk alot and did a good job with relaxing me. My hunny's masseuse was very attentive to him, asking if the stones were too hot, etc. All in all it was a very relaxing time. Best spa trip I ever had...nope, but it did the job and my main man enjoyed himself. Would I go back...maybe, they are running the $50 special till Halloween........ so will I be back? I came a few months ago after purchasing a groupon for restalyn. I had some difficulties at first with the appoinment I had made because they wanted to cancel, but after hesitation on my behalf he (forget name) was able to fit me in. They could use an update with the interior, and should find responsible front staff, but I was very pleased with the results. I have had my lips done several times through-our CA, NYC and the Baltimore area. I would have to say his attention to detail was on point. If in the area I will go again. read more

Awful experience and I didn't even go to the location. I purchased a Groupon for them. I made an appointment for a Friday and was called that Friday an hour before the appointment saying that they were closed during the time of the appt and they didn't even know why the appt was ever placed. I accepted an appt change for the next Friday. That Friday, I gave THEM a call to confirm and they said that they were fully booked for the day but they'll call me back in the next few minutes just to be sure. Never received a call!!! Had to call them back again! They couldn't do the appointment so I asked for my money back. It has been a week and I STILL have not gotten my money back. This company has the worst communication and I almost feel like they owe me extra money than what I paid just because of what I have been through. Such a pain dealing with this place. I purchased the $50 60-minute swedish massage as part of Spa Week. My appointment was at 2:00. Parking was easy and I arrived at 1:45 so I could relax and get ready for my massage. Unfortunately, the door was locked, even though the "open" sign was posted, and the place was empty, except for 4 or 5 employees who kept walking by inside and looking at me and another customer outside the door. A little after 2:00, one of the masseuses opened the door and let us in. She was very sweet, but couldn't help get us checked in since the receptionist was still at lunch. Finally, the 2 receptionists came in about 2:10 and checked us in, but were very unwelcoming and did not apologize for the lack of service. My massage was not very good. My masseuse asked me if I had any bruises and I pointed out a very sensitive one on my shin. Of course, she aggressively rubbed that area until she realized what she was doing and apologized. Also, the lotion bottle was nearly empty and kept making that loud sucking noise when she tried to get more out. Worst of all, she ended the massage at 2:50. So much for a 60 minute massage! I mentioned this at the desk and they offered me a coupon for next visit. I will never go back. The other customer waiting with me at the door had signed up for a mani/pedi, but there were no mani/pedi employees even scheduled that day. The interior here is not very nice, the people have terrible customer service and it was the worst spa experience I have ever had. AVOID THIS PLACE!! read more

Made a Monday appointment for a facial for my daughter and myself for Spa week. Called to confirm the appointment and was told that they are closed on Mondays and have no idea how I made the booking (I called 3 weeks earlier and made it over the phone with an unfriendly lady). Glad I didn't go all the way there. I asked to call me, but never heard from them. No apologies, no attempts to make things right. Unprofessional and rude. I booked an appointment for my twin sister and my mom two months in advance with this spa and had been in CONSTANT communication with them up until the appointment we booked for Sunday. Dr. Jennings had agreed to open up their spa for our two-hour post bachelorette party appointment where we scheduled to have facials, body scrubs, and massages for the three of us - and we already gave a 50% deposit. This was the icing on top of the cake for my sister and I wanted to save the best for last. Our appointment was set to begin at 2:00 pm. We arrived at the spa at 1:54 pm. No one there, doors are locked. 1:58 pm I called, no one answered. 2:02 pm, I emailed the spa and told them to call me immediately. We waited at the spa until around 2:15 pm because there was no way I was wasting that day - HOW DISAPPOINTING IS THAT!?!? We even walked back to the spa at 2:30 pm to see if anyone was there yet, and there were three little kids running around in the spa, so I knocked on the door and no one came to answer. This is such bad business, the worst part is that one of the employees emailed me and said they were all three there at 2:00 pm exactly and they saw me, my sister, and my mom walking away. Now, why the heck would we do that??? I would love to see that surveillance camera. My mom had to drag me from those doors because I wanted my sister to get a massage so bad! I even emailed a week prior to the appointment to confirm, and they said "You're all set." VERY VERY disappointed - I would HIGHLY recommend booking elsewhere, such unprofessional business shown here. I came here because I purchased a Groupon for this business which included a manicure, a spa pedicure, and a facial. I found street parking relatively easily, and did not have to pay (there was no meter). It was only a 1/2 block walk away which was good. The employees in the spa were friendly enough, but the place was empty. I stood at the counter for a minute or so because no one was around, but then someone came around the corner and helped me quickly. Before I got started with the services, I used their restroom, which was clean and nicely decorated. I was disappointed that they did not have a hand towel to dry after washing, but rather thin paper towels which easily came off and stuck to my hands :( The manicure was just okay. The girl who worked with me was very nice and personable, but she did not trim my cuticles (which is one of the major reasons why I really go to get a manicure in the first place). They had a decent color selection for nail services. I was not impressed at all with the "spa" pedicure. There was really nothing "spa" about it- I've actually had better at walk in places and they were "normal" pedicures. Again, she did not trim my cuticles, and there was no special treatment that would classify it as a "spa" pedicure. She was pretty sloppy with the polish (a dark polish) so then she had to go back and attempt to clean it up which was mediocre at best. I then went back for my facial, which was the best part. My skin felt good after, and someone even commented a week later that my skin looked really clear. They did have me put on a headband to hold back my hair for the facial, and I was unable to do so without messing up my manicure. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed in the service at that point that I did not even ask the girl to help fix the one or two nails/polish that got messed up. I know this is a long review (phew!), but bottom line, I would not go back here again, even with a Groupon, even if it was close to where I lived. :( I was really hoping for a better experience read more

Avoid this Place!! I purchased a groupon for two facials. It took some time to get return calls or emails to schedule the first, but I eventually did. I went there, the place was empty and it was the most unprofessional facial I ever received. I wasn't even given the chance to tie back my hair or put on a robe to keep my clothes from getting messy! But, I finished and left without complaining. However, when I tried to schedule the second facial, they never answered the phone, never returned phone calls and never answered my emails requests! I made numerous attempts to contact them and was not able to. There was no message on the voicemail saying they would be closed for any period, they just didn't return contact. I have since noticed other people complaining about their poor return contact practices. And Groupon doesn't stand behind their sales and has left me to deal with it. So AVOID this place. And AVOID groupon too! read more

Purchased a Groupon for a microdermabrasion and facial. There is nothing spa about this place. You lay on a flat paper covered table with no pillow for your head or knees. Then the assistant started the dermabrasion without even preparing my skin. Before I knew it the dermabrasion was done (less than 2 minutes, one swipe and nothing to my eyes) and a smelly mask was put on my face for me to lay there for 20 minutes. I gave this place a second chance having been there a year ago. Such a shame because this area could use a professional spa. read more

I am new to yelp. What drove me to sign up is because of the unprofessionalism I experienced at this spa. While the staff was not rude, the lady who provided my services, who I think may also be there owner, simply had no clue what she was doing. I have had many facials in my adult age, and by this time I have an idea on what to expect. Basics such as, if a service says it includes 'a, b, c' I should expect that to be included, but, no, not at this spa. Another basic, if you get a facial you expect the person conducting it to give an even facial to your entire face. At this spa, she focused 90% on my cheeks and chin, 0% on my nose and 10% everywhere else. Now, even with that being the case, I was willing to chalk it up to money and time wasted until she waxed my eyebrows, another competency she did not have. She waxed my eyebrows to the point where outside of having two eyebrows, that is the only thing the same about the two. Other than that , she shaped them so lopsided that you would think she was playing a prank on me. Again, I'm not a yelp, blog, review anything type person, but this service truly was that bad and maybe the spa is good and my person was just not trained or overall the business is undergoing a learning curve. Regardless, I encourage you to proceed with the utmost caution. read more
