This was a small and cozy locally owned and operated torta restaurant. I don't even really know what I got because I asked the guy to make me the most popular torta they had since they had so many options on their menu located conveniently on the wall. There however were no prices anywhere which I found a bit odd for a fast casual restaurant. The seating area itself was quite small and the chairs weren't the comfiest, so i took the food to-go. It wasn't the best torta I've had, but it definitely got the job done. They were quick and the price was justifiable ($14 after tax). read more

A solid torta all around. I like to put salsa on my torta so to my preferences I'd say a bit dry, but overall, great tasting food, in a quaint clean shop, with friendly service. I'd stop by again. I ordered the Chilangisima and it was a decent value for the size of the meal. I was told the Cubanisima is huge, so I might try that next if I have someone to share with. read more

First time coming here and I really enjoyed it. Came on my lunch break it was empty and only one person was working. He was very kind and fast with making the torta. He accepts tap! I got the Pechugona Torta with chipotle. As for my beverage i got the cucumber lime agua fresca it was good! Homemade! Great tortas!! seriously one of the best torta shops in all of the Denver Metro Areas!! sooooo much flavor and made fresh to order! Soft crispy light bread, the perfect choice of melted cheese very fresh ingredients that's are piled high! My only qualm is that i didn't order both the jalapeño and chipotle sauce!! The flavor on the chipotle sauce is PHENOMENAL!!! Great assortment of sandwiches and baked goods! As far as i know small family owned business as well!! this place is a Gem in aurora!! read more

Food was amazing, didn't really know what to get, so I just chose one and it was delicious. I read reviews before going and someone said anything you get would be great and after trying it I definitely believe that! Agua frescas were so fresh, made right in front of you. Total random decision after getting my hair done next door but I absolutely don't regret it. read more

We ordered the Tacuba and Nortena sandwich along with a mango and papaya smoothies for dinner. The place is simple and clean inside. The ladies are super nice and cooked your tortas to order, right there in front of you. Our favorite is probably the mango and papaya smoothies - so fresh and tasty! I'm craving more of that just writing about it now. The tortas came in decent portions and tasted as good as we expected, if not a bit better! All in all, it's a decent place to grab a quick and quality lunch/dinner. We'll be back to try other combinations of tortas and desserts. read more

The food is already good no matter what time of the day you go. I've stopped by about 30 minutes before they close and the food still is freshly made. This place has been in our community for a very long time now and I just hope it continues to get the support it deserves. read more

You can never go wrong with Tortisimas of Mississippi and Chambers. The food is always delicious, the service is always fast and friendly and the location is great. I also recommend the aguas frescas. I always get the pechugona and an agua de mango. It is soooo good. I keep going back to this place because it is delicious, fast and friendly!! I found this restaurant by chance today and I love tortas so was super excited!The owner was very pleasant and food was ready pretty quickly (he was working alone). A friend recommended this place so I had to try it. I'm not a big tortas fan and this is the first torta that I actually like so that's saying something. I got the Petuguna with jalapenos. It's well-balanced, not too oily or too much cheese. I highly recommend the mango papaya aqua--it's real pulp and large. They're open Sun.-Thurs, 11-9pm and Fri.-Sat. until 10pm. Great little place! Went here on a rainy day, so I'm hoping that's why it was so empty. The owners are really sweet and I almost got through a whole conversation in Spanish before I finally got stuck on a couple of words at the end, but she was nice and helped me out. Their tortas are delicious and the have quite the variety of combinations as well as a design your own torta. They use great bread and cook it to perfection. Got a sandwich right before a long night of studying and it was enough for two meals for me. I definitely hope to stop by more often now that I know how close it is! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious torta! The only other thing I've tried from them was the flan. It was alright, but I think I'll stick to their tortas instead for the future. read more

If you have never had a torta I recommend this place! It is so good and the chipotle sauce is amazing. I have only been dissatisfied with my order once. That was because they were in between cooks and they misunderstood my order. I tend to be a bit picky . If you have never had a fresh water I definitely recommend them! I love the strawberry one. It is so good. It reminds me of an orange Julius . Not too sweet but so delicious! I do feel like it is a bit pricey and doesn't always fill me up but the flavor is so good. When I order I get the DF and sometimes I do order extra chicken if I'm starving! My husband and kids really like this place as well. There is something for everyone! Ps my kids really like the restroom sign. Make sure to check it out read more

Came in on a Friday afternoon, the place was empty which is normally a red flag if it's Friday at 6 pm. Anyways, i ordered 2 tortas to go. This is definitely a good place for tortas. There is so much variety as far as ham, steak, chicken is concerned. The tortas were decently sized, all of the fixings such as the lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños were decently spread and in good amounts. I didn't feel short changed on that or that they over did it on lettuce to cover up for not putting in enough steak. I will be returning and trying more on the menu. By the way, if the menu included tacos or burritos, it'll just be a regular taco joint not a gimmick such as tortas. read more

Found this place on Yelp! so good job Yelp! I love tortas - the best being the tortas I have found from a torta truck up in Longmont. We decided to give Tortisimas a try after reading the few reviews here. Jackpot! This place is FANTASTIC! Made fresh on a grill right out front, these sandwiches are jam-packed with fresh and tasty ingredients. I had the Hawaiiana and my buddy had the Coqueta - both served hot and delicious. Obviously this place is quite new, so just a couple of suggestions (ok...gripes...) - dining area is quite uncomfortable, high stools with just a choice of a counter or 2 smallish tables. They have plenty of drink choices, but a self serve soda fountain would be a great option. Nevertheless, we will be back for sure! read more

Claire was on business out on this end of town when she phoned me to see if I wanted a torta. "Heck yeah!" said the fat kid inside of me. I had no idea Tortisimas existed, but I'm certainly happy to see a new torta shop spring up. She got me the Hawaiiana, a mix of ham and pineapple (b/c that is the only thing that Hawaiians eat, right?). As most tortas are, the sandwich came loaded with tomatoes, onion, avocado, mayo and beans --- along with a side of adobo sauce. The spot only gets three stars for now (a-ok) until I get a better feel of what they are about. I do like their potential to earn that fourth star since they serve a great list of tortas, agua frescas, jugos naturales, postres, and vampiros (maybe Twilight is popular in Mexico, also). read more

For all of you that love tortas, this is a must stop place and have a delicious, mouth watering, big A** torta. They have a selection of tortas that will blow your mind. The menu is to much to list but some of the meats they use are ham, breaded steak, chicken, hot dogs, eggs and let me say they are HUGE. Stop by and try one. On the menu, I saw the breakfast burrito allowed for non-traditional meat to be added to include chicken which always brightens my heart to see (Ms. Piggy shouldn't still dominate breakfast foods & we don't all consume beef regularly). I decided to order a breakfast burrito with asada beef (my arteries were craving excitement), green chili inside. I was expecting the same here. I noted the difference in appearance and texture right away when opening the container. Yes, it's green. Yes, it's salsa but it had more substance than most I've encountered around Denver metro. More similar to restaurant style. The seeds were also more plentiful as if it was a freshly made batch. I drizzled a bit on a corner of the burrito and took a bite. :O:O:O...The dance of flavor on my tongue made my booty wiggle. This salsa is seriously a standout. It is milder but what it lacks in spice it makes up for in flavor. I mean, I would be interested in purchasing jars of this salsa just like I do from Yolanda's Tacos. As I stated, I'm sad I've waited so long, passing this place time and again, without trying it all these years. I'll admit; I am still new to this cuisine and yet I've been to a really good restaurant that boasts this type of food in the central Denver. Having that memory still fresh in mind, when I discovered this place accidentally today, there was no need for me to waste time to second guess about the food. The restaurant is easy to spot; its restaurant name is clearly on the front of the building with big letters. Its boastful existence to let people know about it is something I can appreciate. My anticipation was high due to its current ratings of near-perfect 5 stars. Whereas I've been to places where I truly thought they were simply overrated, I was under the impression that this place was an exception. Upon entering the eatery, a bright pastel colored mural (or wall painting I should say) with restaurant name on it was right in front of me. Its vividness - as if to say that it depicts the colorfulness of the dishes they serve - was a sure indication that it is a diverse restaurant with flavorful cooking. This also enhanced my anticipation. While I was taking some photos at the reception that was unmanned, a young lady eventually came to me with a welcoming voice. She then immediately asked me if I was there for a dine in or to go to which I said to go. The menu is a good size. Colored pictures with easy-to-understand dish name and the description, no person gets confused with what they have to offer. My intent was to get me a few small side dishes and yet as soon as I saw the "Paradise Plate" ($31.95 as of June 14, 2025), I was like, "why not?" even though I wasn't there to buy a huge plate to be shared with someone else. If you visit this place for the first time, this dish is recommended as it has everything. And the portion is huge (this can be easily split between two people.) The plate contains 3 traditional pupusas (which you'll be asked to choose from the traditional pupusa section), 1 chicken or pork tamale, 1 corn tamale, 1 savory empanada, fried yucca (2 pieces) and fried plantain (2 pieces) are all in 1 plate. On top of that, coleslaw type salad/veggie and red sauce accompanied the whole thing so when the young lady handed me my food, the plastic bag was quite the weight. Oh my goodness, what did I just get??? As a tradition of mine, as soon as I got to my car, I immediately opened the bag and then I was like oola la, I realized that I simply got waaaaaay too much food for one person. Sound like I was complaining and yet I was filled with unexplainable joy that filled my heart and mind. Some were deep-fried, some were pan-fried or oven-baked. However they were cooked, their rich and oily flavors with all kinds of spices and ingredients were all over my mouth. I ate some of it in 2 separate sittings and yet the container still had plenty of food left for me to morsel the next day. No wonder this place has 4.5 stars by people who experienced the goodness they offer. Let's not forget. The restaurant is a good size. It was clean. It's got some bar seating perfect for solo diners. I wonder how crowded it gets on a peak lunch or dinner time. Anyway, I am not sure how many (El) Salvadorian cuisine restaurants that exist in the greater Denver area and yet, this must be ranked one of the top 5 for sure. I may still like the one on Colorado Boulevard as it's a lot closer to my house (for a convenience reason), this place checks for great food and service. Whereas I thought some of the foods were a bit too oily to my liking, its overall food quality speaks for itself as to why people fancy this restaurant. For those who live in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood, lucky them!
