Not to be confused with TourID, which is when I would play shows all over the country, and yet still be carded when I walked into a place where I was performing. This is one of Barbie's favourite stores at any given mall, and the reason why is because they have great sexy stuff for plus size girls, which most stores don't, but then they also have great sexy stuff for people who aren't plus sizes, so it's pretty cool regardless of how you look at it. Definitely one of the places that I enjoy coming to, and I'm sure I'll be back here again with Barbie when we come to wonder around the Baybrook Mall, which we often do. In fact it's one of our favourite stores at the mall and service is nice too. But they're pretty expensive unless there's a big sale on. read more

62 years old, shopping & trying on clothes for an hour. Only customer in the store. I had to use the restroom & they told me "No, go next door". WHAT!?!? I changed out of about $350 worth of their clothing, got dressed and left. It's ok to put their pants, bras and shirts on my body, but I can't use their restroom?? Do I just pee in their clothes? I wonder how miserable this clerk's life must be that she went out of her way to be unaccommodating as could be. Body language speaks volumes, when you roll your eyes and push items back across to counter. I was trying to return some joggers, still in the sealed original packaging from an online purchase and she said it was considered tights or intimate apparel, so it was considered a final sale item. I showed her my online order history and showed her where it never said final sale and she ignored my comments and asked id I wanted to continue with returning the blouse, when I said yes, she rolled her eyes and began the return. After that she never made eye contact and she huffed and the register while explaining my refund. This store has an amazing brand and selection, but the service of their sales personnel is horrible! read more

My 2 star rating is toward this particular location and not the clothing or brand itself. Hands down, the most miserable, crap attitude employees I have ever witness in my life working here. Never smiling, always rude and act inconvenienced. Absolutely NO customer service training at all. Being a big girl, it's already a challenge to feel comfortable shopping for clothes, so I expect to not have this issue when shopping at a plus sized retailer. I have been to this location more than 10 tines in the last year and every m single time it is a miserable experience. Always poorly stocked on anything bigger than a 2 x, very cramped inside and clearance racks are always a jumbled mess. I have resorted to ordering everything online because going in this store is such a pain. read more

After a huge ordeal at Forever 21, I had given up searching for a wedding dress that fit me. My Fiance' saw this place while I was in Joanns and prompty forced me into the store. I was still kinda bummed about not being able to find anything to fit me in my price range and then we saw it - THE DRESS. I picked my size and promptly was assisted to a dressing room. The girl who helped us, Alex, was so genuinely plesant(?) and helpful. She had zero idea of the nightmare we had at Forever 21 or that we were buying the dress for my wedding until we were about to leave, so to feel so valued as a consumer meant a LOT. We were dumb and left without buying the dress that day, intending on coming back with my Mother later. We went back the next day and my size was already gone! Not an issue, great customer service located one in a different store and held it until we arrived later that day and we even picked up two other dresses for the price of one thanks to their clearence sale!! I will now be a loyal customer to this company until they give me reason not to. The service at both locations was amazing. The clothes were more than Forever 21, but the fit and attitude are worth the extra cash hands down. I now have a second clothing store to shop at besides Lane Bryant now, Thank You. read more

I love Torrid! I always thought it was clothes for younger girls, so I never really shopped here, until a friend showed me the Doctor Who dress they had. Wait. What? A dress with Daleks and the Tardis all over it that was cute and flattering?! Be still my heart(s). I ordered the dress online, fell in love with it and promptly got a credit card so I could GET MORE STUFF. I shop here in the store, and online, so I get the best of both worlds. I have to admit, I'm not crazy about crowds, and although this place isn't usually that busy, I love to come here on a weekday. They have decent sales, but the stuff isn't too cheap, or maybe I am cheap. But it all seems well made, so I'm ok with it. And they make everything for girls with curves, so that's an added bonus. Sometimes I think clothes manufacturers just make clothes bigger for larger women, without taking into account the shape of a woman's body. So yeah, I'm a fan. The associates have been nice and friendly and helpful, and the clothes are cute and decently priced. You really can't beat that! read more

I was here to return an item sent in the wrong size and several other things that just did not fit correctly from a mail order. First off I stood in a line as if to pay for 30 minutes before I was up next then a surly female told me I was in the wrong line. So I moved over and while she tediously slowly looking up my items just picked up the phone and sat on the phone with no explanation another 20 min on HOLD Finally I said do you want me to pull my order up from the website to get the sku or order numbers?? And she said no we have to make sure it's ok to return since they we're sale items. I like Torrid clothes line for sure but this unorganized way of doing return items made me re- think my loyalty. The customer service was so subpar if this were my business I would clean house and start over! read more

Me and my friend came here one weekend. And the lady that came up to us said "our experience is gonna be different" so what does that mean? That we weren't gonna get any help? just because we weren't wearing a mask. This is when we didn't have to wear one. There was no sign on the door saying it was a must to wear one. We were asking her questions and she didn't answer them and she was very rude the whole time, ignoring us because we didn't have a mask on. And then when we were gonna try on bras, she said we weren't allowed to try on the bras. But other people could. She had a mask on, so why are you worried about someone who doesn't have one on? What's the point if you are wearing a mask then. If you are so worried about someone not having a mask on when you had one on, then maybe you should stay your ass at home in a bubble. We were gonna buy 6 bras a piece and we ended up not buying any. This woman needs to be fired for her having that attitude and behavior. read more

Alright so I love torrid. I'm a big girl and I always hated shopping at the other big girl stores in the area. Why does everything at Lane Bryant have to have flowers on it? And paisley?? Everything? I want to wear cool Star Wars shirts too! I love that they always have deals going on. I went in on a weekday looking for a dress for an upcoming Beatles tribute band concert. (Don't judge and check out Fab 5, you'll thank me). I found this beautiful green piece for 50$ and was hesitant about the price until I saw that once I bought this I got two more pieces for free! So I walked out with TWO dresses and a STAR WARS baseball shirt for 50$! I also got some really neat leggings for 20$. Yeah, the customer service wasn't perfect and they weren't overtly friendly but when I needed help, they helped me. I'm definitely a torrid fan and I'm glad I don't have to shop online anymore. read more

Torrid, I love your clothes but it's a Saturday and you need more staff and check out takes forever and your computers are ALWAYS an issue.

I absolutely love this store!!!! Once I became a plus size it was hard to find clothes that fit me. Um so glad I found torrids! :)
