I had a frustrating experience at Zara. I was 7 days past the return window on unworn pants with tags and was denied even store credit. On top of that, I was incorrectly stopped at the door for suspected theft. Staff did apologize, but the overall experience felt uncomfortable and rigid. I shop here for my son in the toddler section a lot. Yesterday afternoon (3/12/2026 around 3-3:10pm) my son which is freshly 4 years old was racially profiled by an employee. Before we could walk out another group of people that came in beeped. This employee came up to us asking to see a receipt before we even reached the door , instead of asking can she check for buzzers . We were the only black people in the store. She had a nasty attitude and didn't even apologize. She's Hispanic with glasses . Didn't want to give us her name but I surely did call corporate and started a claim. I walked in to the store and the security bars beeped. I didn't know what it was initially-- I thought it was my purse because it has the RFID Google review summary tag in it. I also realized that the tag on my skirt was bothering me but I didn't realize that it had what I later discovered to have one of the security stickers on it. We walked around a bit in the men's clothing , we Reviews didn't see anything we liked and passed through women's to the other exit. I wasn't even in the store for a maximum of TEN minutes and got stopped at the exit by loss prevention. He made me show the tags of the skirt and made me open my hand bag (twice, mind you) that's a shoulder bag... which I can essentially only hold my phone and wallet in... I even showed him the tag at the bottom of my skirt as it was long, and you could see that there was only one skirt! I wasn't hiding another one, like really?! This was humiliating as people were watching me as they passed by. When he scanned my skirt, it wasn't online, and that I was physically wearing !!! This was incredibly disappointing and disrespectful as I've worked in retail and I know how LP is supposed to handle situations and what signs to look for. I had on form fitting clothes, no backpack, didn't act skittish, or even go into the fitting room. Oh but corporate WILL be hearing about the situation and this location will be reported to the BBB as well. Visited this location for the first time a few weeks ago. I agree with the inattentive staff. It was difficult to distinguish the staff from the customers. The employee that checked me out walked past me three times and never acknowledged me. The waiting room staff person was friendly. I was surprised about the bag fee. Rude inattentive and discriminatory. I will never shop at this location again. There were a lot of employees working in the store none of them spoke. When seeking to find some thing in the store I approached an employee asking for help to find that item and her demeanor presented as if I was bothering her. She looks up she points in the direction of where it is and then looks back down and continues what she was doing. I went to return 2 tops bought 2 weeks ago. I diid not bring receipt and was told no returns without receipt. (returns to Express also same day, no problem at all with no receipt as long as phone number provided, refund deposited back to credit card immediately) I bought a dress also today and requested a garment bag. I had to pay 20 cents extra, no problem. But the cashier said they have no hangers! I can't believe that a clothing store cannot provide one hanger! I love the Zara products, I am a fan. If I could give them a zero rating, I would. I like their clothing, but their customer service is horrible. I couldn't find any employee to assist me as we walked around shopping. The lady at the register was very dry and offered no assistance. I found a hole in a pair of shorts I was attempting to purchase. I had to ask her to look for another pair because she didn't offer. Clothes are over priced and the workers are horrible. They're very mean not helpful and i can just tell they're extremely rude in there. There was a girl who i could tell is newer than the others and i witnessed the other girls being mean to this girl. I can feel the tension in the store and can tell it's a very toxic environment. Y'all need to get rid of those mean girls or fix the way they're grown acting like children or i will bring this issue up with more important people in the company. I shouldn't spend my day shopping and end up having a bad day from witnessing girls bullying somebody who's being so polite and doing nothing to deserve the treatment she's getting. Due to covid the galleria store has limited hours and the lines to get in are long but efficient. The staff is very friendly and willing to help as I needed to return a online order but wanted a new size if available which the cashier took her time to call to the back to check which is awesome since I had waited 25 minutes to enter the store. Horrible experience at the Baybrook location. I came in to buy these cute brown plaid pants. I asked the sales girl putting jeans away on a table is she had in size smalls. She said no and I said I'm sure the mannequin is wearing a small. I asked her to take the pants off which she acted like I was a pain. She gets another lady with a thick accent who says they can't take the pants off. The girl that does the mannequin's wasn't there. Well apparently this store doesn't want to sell anything. Christmas 2021 and everyone says shop early because of supply issues. So we buy a pair of jeans here at the beginning of November. Christmas comes and we find the jeans don't fit. So we think, no problem, go to the store and exchange them for a pair that fits. Except they have a strict 30 day return policy. Very strict. No exceptions for Christmas like many stores have. I don't want my money back, I want to put one pair of jeans on the shelf and take a different pair home. Sorry, you just wasted $60. Today I decided to visit my favorite store to shop for a suite I needed for a work event. Sounds simple enough right? I found a suit I wanted and didn't see my size I saw a employee I asked him for help and he quickly let me know he couldn't help and ran off but he had been circling the men area doing nothing. It get better I find two guys engaged in conversation I asked for help he at least helped me find my size and ran off before I could tell him it was the wrong USA size. Then I encounter Winston and he was very rude I asked could he maybe locate my size at the galleria location he advised he doesn't have the number. He used his phone to tell me they had my size but couldn't tell me how many. I asked could he call and he shrugged his shoulders and bluntly said "I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU WANT" I was so put off at the level of customer service from a store I frequent often. I went to find a manger and encountered Jackie I asked where could I locate the manger she pointed in a direction I couldn't even see and walked off would have been nice to be walked to the manager. Finally found the manger she could care less she went and found Winston and asked him to call the galleria he told her "oh you want me to just keep calling until they pick up" at this point I had enough I told them it's ok the manger said oh ok well you can make a complaint. So I went to the location at the Galleria a couple of days ago, because I was on that side of town. I ended up purchasing two dresses there that I found at a really great price. However, I didn't have a chance to try them on because it was insanely packed and I was kind of in a hurry. The line was super long. So I figured, if they don't fit, then I can just return them. Unfortunately they didn't fit and since I live closer to the Baybrook location I came here to return them. The moment I told the cashier (who by the way, refused to tell me her name) she got snappy with me. She started tapping her screen really upset and annoyed. Didn't talk to me at all about anything else. She wouldn't even bother addressing me standing there. She grabs one of the dresses and starts to put the security pin on it and after a few minutes tells me "just so you know, in the future when you buy a defective item from another location, you have to go return it there". First of all, she hadn't even asked why I was returning the dresses. I had no idea what was wrong with the dress so I asked and she said it was missing a button. I told her I wasn't even aware that was the case and she said well it's missing a button and usually the manager asks that the customer takes it to the original location they bought it at since it was damaged on their floor. Now, I worked retail briefly, and while I can understand that, I also know that customer service (meaning her attitude and tone towards a customer) should not be condescending and rude. I told her I had no problem taking it to the location I purchased it at but obviously this was more convenient and she just said no this is fine this time but for the future just know that. When I asked for her name she smirked and said "i don't have to give you my name". Of course I'm going to file a complaint against her. And I told her that I would and she just said she didn't have an attitude. Sorry sweetie, but if you don't want to work on a Saturday afternoon, just don't. Horrible return policy. I attempted to return a pair of jeans, two weeks after purchase, with receipt and sales tag, and credit card used, and was told that "inside tags were missing." Maybe- but we weren't the people who removed them, and they were obviously Zara merchandise. Will never shop there again- lousy customer service.
