I would like to start off by saying I used to be an avid shopper at this location. I come here to…read morebuy my work clothes because they have always had the best selection of jeans that fit me correctly, and I didn't mind paying the extra money to get the pair of jeans I wanted. Today I came in on my one day off and was excited to look at the new summer selection of clothes and get a pair of black work pants that I love, and was followed by the owner who I have met many times before and had good experiences with. Today however, he greeted me one time and had strain in his voice which I figured was just stress being a store owner and I greeted him warmly back. After looking around for only a couple minutes, he walked up extremely aggressively and said, "Ma'am you could leave your pocketbook up at the front of the store " It wasn't exactly what he said, it was HOW he said it. He was shaking and extremely aggressive. After seeing his time and realizing he was trying to accuse me of stealing in his store, I said you know what it's fine. I will just leave. I was going to just leave the store and leave the interaction with that, but he continued to follow me as I left and said, "Well if you didn't have bad intentions, and weren't going to steal you would have no problem leaving your pocketbook up here." This bothered me a lot because I have had multiple conversations with this man and last time I came into the store, he gave me his info on Facebook and asked for me to recommend his jeans to the other girls I work with. I am sorry for him if he has had issues of theft at his location, but that has NOTHING to do with me and I did not deserve to be treated or projected onto like that. I was trying to leave and he kept asking why I had an issue leaving my purse up there and basically accusing me of going to steal from him if I didn't want to leave my purse at his register. I explained I literally had my rent money in my purse and that was why I didn't feel comfortable leaving it there, which honestly looking back I shouldn't have even felt the need to explain myself. He was extremely aggressive yelling at me and then said, "I don't care about your money or the thousand dollars you have in your purse." I will never shop here again and even if he has had issues with theft, it is NO way to treat your returning customers at all. Especially ones that had only good things to say about your business and continued coming back to shop with you. Best luck in the future but beware of this behavior to returning and new customers.
