Great stuff staff were hard workers and it is consistent. New stuff weekly weekends are wild but great pride prices. The inside needs a freshening up to the times it's the same as long as it been in business in town. read more

Marshalls - what i found at Marshall's! - Department Stores Near Me - Watertown, Connecticut

This place is kind of like the KMart a mile south down 63, except WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY less sucky. Like WAY less. My daughter and I go here pretty often and often find some pretty great deals. I mean I get it, it's like a year-round Retail 101 and not everything is going to be perfect, but you really can't beat the prices. If you want to find stuff, you're going to have to master the "rack flip" technique, which despite being a 48-year-old heterosexual man I seem to have mastered, but I digress. The point is, it's not always laid out perfectly or even close to perfect, but the work has pretty much always been worth the reward for us. Since they recently re-worked the checkout area, that's been much faster than in the past, and we've never had any issues with service or returns. The bottom line here is that it's not amazing or 5 star, but it's local and comes in handy more often than not. We're lifetime regulars. read more

I generally love Marshalls. I looked at their shoe selection, but per usual, the size I wear is scarce so there were limited options and those shoes that were in my size I didn't like, so I moved on to the clothes after about 10 minutes. I couldn't find a petite section, so shopping in the misses, and found two cute flowy tops and had to choose just one because I also had to buy a pair of knee length pants. Then I looked at all of their housewares and found super cute beach and patriotic themed items all ready for the summer season on sale. A typical Marshall's shopping experience. read more

This Marshall's is ok, although I have been to better ones. This one seems like it's a hit or miss. Sometimes I come and find everything I want, and other times I come and find nothing. The junior section is terrible, and seems to get worse and worse as time goes on. I love the houseware section however, and this is usually where I come to load up on Puma socks since they are the best priced when it comes to that. The last time I was here though, the manager (I'm assuming) was training a kid that was obviously brand new at his job. She was a witch! She kept snagging money out of his hand every time he went to count it, kept calling him out about every little thing he was doing wrong, and on top of that berated him in front of us. I was ready to give her a piece of my mind and tell her to lighten the hell up, but I thought best otherwise. If she's still manager, I probably won't return as it broke my heart to see how she treated her workers. I would rather go the extra mile and go to TJ Maxx (although obviously the same), just so I don't need to see that again. read more

Terrible. I've been there during busy hours, and I've been there during off peak hours and the customer service is all the same, unknowledgeable about the products with a side of attitude. When asking for a gift receipt for an item they gave me one no problem, but when I tried to return the item it couldn't be returned because it was a cosmetic. Maybe when I asked for the gift receipt that should have been told to begin with??? The store changes format too often and it's too frustrating trying to find anything because of it and the employees don't know where anything is either because they aren't familiar with the ever changing floor plan. They really need to figure it out. read more

I don't like how the Juniors' section has been minimized. All the clothes in that section are all the same: skinny jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops. Also, the last time I was in there, a boy working as a cashier asked me if I was a stripper because I paid for a $20 pair of jeans with ones. Wow! Just... WOW! Before that, he kept making strange gestures with a male coworker towards me and laughing. Every time I looked at them, they would stop. read more
