She gave me one and I took it back to the Kalamazoo store as a return. I told her about the charge for a utensil holder (blue) that I didn't get but got charged for it. I went back to the Kalamazoo store the next day because instead of a credit I received an another charge on my credit card for the items I returned. She charged me again for the item. Which I gave back to her. Seasonal employees aren't trained well and the Kalamazoo/Portage manager was extremely rude to me. They only have a 30 day return policy at this store which I thought I'd give my business to instead of. Macy's but that won't happen again.

I scored a $100 swimsuit in like-new condition for $8 and was delighted. They also carry designer purses up behind the counter for considerably below retail. Letting her know "that women who just left outta here is my mother. She would rather give her money to her daughter, so she could get clothes. Just because she choose not to dress up and shop doesn't mean she didn't have money." The worker looked stunned and smiled nervously telling the other worker, that lady is my mother. Employees are pretty good about making themselves available for guidance to where a product is, as we needed directions to both the canvas/paint section as well as needing directions to the restrooms. Everywhere you look you find Gryffindor or Slytherin stuff but never Hufflepuff and rarely Ravenclaw. I was so pumped. I am always shocked at the prices however- $50 for the sweater I was dying to have. Maybe next time dear sweater, maybe next time. I am a enamel pin collector so I always stop at the displays that are chalked full with them since they are trendy right now. There are lots of places to get enamel pins now but I do always stop to look because they tend to have pop culture ones. If you ever cant find what you're looking for you can always go online or to their sister store Box Lunch (there arent any locally but there is an online store. Closest one I think in South Bend Indiana) Hot Topic has changed a bit since I was in high school and I was neck deep in the emo/goth culture but I still enjoy stopping. I was greeted by Forrest and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I tried on a bunch of shoes and we settled on one that they didn't have in stock. He had them shipped to my house. I was skeptical at first that I'd actually like the shoes but after breaking them in for a day they are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I almost didn't want to take them off!
