She called me and said there was a long line at Zara & she was near the front of the line. Out of curiosity I moseyed on over. We found out that Zara has their annual sale this time of year in January. Evidently a lot of people knew about looking at the line outside of Zara waiting to get in. When I got there she was a couple of people from the front (great timing). It's not like I needed anything but I thought what the heck why not take a look. When we got into the store I quickly looked around the store front to back and noticed that they had nothing but women's clothes? I asked someone if they had men's clothes. They mentioned that the men's section is on the other side of the cased opening. As I perused the clothes, shirts (don't need any), pants (don't need any), coats (don't need), Just kind of killing time while my wife was shopping or so I thought. That's when I saw a long hooded winter coat. I have a heavy wool coat that I use when I get dressed up and play adult to go out but it's seen better days. I wanted & needed a long warm winter over coat. I found a coat that I really liked and best of all the price was reduced to $69.99 reduced $100 from the original price. The only problem was the zipper was jammed & wasn't working properly. I tried 3 different coats before finally finding one that works. I did find a salesgirl named Adi that was very patient & helpful w/trying to find a coat w/a zipper that worked. When we came out of the store there was a long line of people trying to get in. Like I said this was the first time I had ever been to a Zara store, but I'm glad I stopped in despite the issue w/the zipper I managed to buy the coat and at the same time I saved $100

I have worked for this company for three years and I would say the fashion aspect is very amazing…read moreand worth investing in good quality materials, but when it comes to this company since it is ran by Israel and fast fashion is their motto. I would prefer quality clothes over quantity that just fall apart easily and not them having a campaign just for a moment to "teach" customers how to sew/mend their brand new purchased items, which is something that everyone should know how to do, but I shouldn't have to purchase a new wardrobe that only last barely once when I wanna keep them for a lifetime and when it comes to managing staff/training new employees. It's like throwing dogs into the wolves, especially on sale days WS/SS(winter sale & summer sale) where we are the most busiest and a company that wants to push for inclusivity, diversity and mental health most people that have worked there that I have seen only want to cause drama(unprofessional) about old useless arguments that has to do with personal reasons and a lot of bickering, but I would say I did love the hospitality of surgeon employees and I have seen good wholesome customers come and shop with us as well. It was also nice to assist them during work travels, but not when it came to only sending a few people to try to help stores that are absolutely falling apart other states just make a quota w/ extremely low staff members. Caring about the human being comes first, not dragging them to the ground to be the next carbon machine. Thank You.

H&M really has their finger on the pulse of fashion trends and they bring them at an amazingly low price point. From socks ($17.95 for 10 pairs) to sunglasses ($10 a pair), I rely on H&M to deliver the goods. I had my sunglasses on a few weekends ago and my friend asked, "Where'd you get those fancy designer shades?" How cool is that? I've gotten a stylish navy blue trench coat there and found shorts on sale for amazing prices. Yesterday I found a great pair of lounging shorts for $5! I spotted a very cool cowl neck cotton pullover for my partner which was just in as well. At $29, it looked just like the one that sells for $195 at Allsaints Spitalfields or James Perse. From time to time, they will partner with high-end designers to bring a special capsule collection to the store. Right now, they're featuring French designer Isabel Marant. In the past, they've had collections by Viktor & Rolf, Jimmy Choo, Karl Lagerfeld, Versace, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garçons, Matthew Williamson and Sonia Rykiel. Of course, if you want to feel like sports royalty, you can find the underwear collection by David Beckham there as well. People have mentioned that lines can be long here, which is true. It's the trade off you pay for getting this merchandise. As for help on the floor, the people who work here are helpful if you can find one available. I don't mind about this so much. These aren't deal breakers for me. I've also gone here to pick up gifts for friends around their birthdays and the holidays. I always find really fun gifts from purses to hats to jewelry. I always have looked past it because I like the quality of the clothes. Today however I had an incident that may make me not return to the store or even support Torrid further. I am in the store and purchase an item. Then I ask the girl checking me out if they price match the online prices. At this point the sale is complete. She says they can but I would have had to do it before checking out. So I ask about exchanging the item for the lesser price. The manager comes over and says something about no they can't do that because of how the receipt runs in the system. So I left the store, I then turned and when back in to just return the item...I was told no, I can't return the item because their system won't have it processed for 24 hours. I left very frustrated. Number 1 that is the worst possible policy. So you mean to tell me if they made an error and rang something up twice and I catch it after I check out, they can't correct it for 24 hours? I find that hard to believe. Number 2 I called another store and was told the information I was given by the always unpleasant manager in McHenry was a LIE!! So needless to say, trying to scam your customers doesn't gain you any.

They both got to work pulling various items, like experts, with ease, and neatly placing them in a dressing room. They helped me through out the entire process. They made me feel comfortable, not rushed or pressured. I ended up buying several pieces, that I was thrilled over, and in addition, they happily help additional pieces I wanted, but wasn't able to purchase until the next day after I got paid. My one and only little downside, was I did feel the cost of the clothing was quite pricey. Unfortunately, that will keep me from being able to frequent the store as frequently as I truly would like. If it were not for that, I would hands down have given 5 stars! I highly recommend Torrid!
