Do not get the credit card!! They draw you in with a huge discount for opening the card...and then they charge you absolutely predatory interest rates (I'm talking almost 40%....39.99% to be exact) with atrocious customer service. It was so bad that I paid off my entire balance and closed my account only to have them calling me a month later claiming that I was delinquent on my monthly payment. They charged me another $90 for "late fees and interest". Literally the most predatory an unethical credit card company I've ever experienced and I will not be shopping at Torrid anymore because of this experience with the lender that they choose to use. read more

So I went today to spend my torrid cash which I had a lot of and first of all, I noticed the manager was wearing literal bike shorts and tennis shoes how was the somebody that I want to get fashion advice from first of all and second of all she was very rude and I just will never go back to the store again. The Sunrise location is hands down, the best Torrid around! Their manager and staff are simply the best! I usually have help from either the manager or Allie and I can't say enough about how helpful, honest, cheerful and down to earth they are! They remember my name even after months of not being there! They have great suggestions when you have an issue with any clothing. They check the back for things you are looking for that you can't find your size in. The store is always clean and well organized. These ladies take pride in their store and go above and beyond to help all the customers that enter. I've been to 4 other locations around Sunrise and always regret not just going there first even though it's a little farther out. The service is truly what makes this location the best!! This is one of my favorite stores in the mall I like the fact that they have special stores for bigger girls they have a great selection of clothes they always have a clearance area which you usually can get buy one get one plus they sell bras and swim suits and sunglasses and leggings and dresses and they sell black slacks for work they also have a great selection of shoes the staff here is very friendly and very helpful staff they can Evan measure you if you don't know what size you wear in a bra they also have a program that you can sign up for free to get points to earn rewards plus you get a reward on your birthday I highly recommend this establishment to anyone it is a very clean atmosphere very clean establishment I will definitely be coming back here very soon when I am in the area I look forward to my next visit here read more

I love this store. When I was between being a "big" girl and "normal"...Torrid was my savior for fashion! My only complaint is they never stock Extra Long pants. I am 6 feet tall so I need that extra length for my legs. Ordering on the website SUCKS tho. They advertise all these adorable clothes ...but only available in 6x. And when you do find your size...it takes 2 weeks to get to you...only to find out it's the WRONG ITEM. Uuugh... However...the store is awesome. Highly recommend the store. :) read more

I had so much fun in here, shopping for an outfit before my event! I had the pleasure of running into Rebecca. She's a traveling manager, and I love seeing her! She remembers my name, remembers my husband's name, when she greeted him, she also told him he liked very nice for our last event.... of course, he was confused at first, but we caught him up to speed, and let him know that I showed her our pictures from the last event when I wore a beautiful Torrid dress.... So! I came here to exchange shorts, and buy a shirt. They kept the size shorts I needed on hold for a few days. THANK YOU! I took an extra few days getting in here, but everyone here was wonderful enough to accommodate me. I tried the shorts on just to make sure they were the right fit... and they were perfect! I got a black shirt with a white skull on it(I needed it to glow in the black light and it worked perfect, btw!) It also has flower on it, which sheds worse than a long haired cat.... They checked on me and asked if I needed anything while I tried them on. I also tried on some jeans and loved them too! Only downside to those is that there were no front pockets??? I love TORRID! I usually go to the arden location but not anymore! Arden always seems to be super messy and the girls aren't too nice either. Sunrise is just the opposite. The girls there made me feel super welcomed, and asked if I needed any help. The store itself was SOOO CLEAN! Everything was so organized!! I was shook on how organized their clearance items were. The fitting rooms are AMAZING! Super big, and clean. I will now be driving here from Natomas instead of Arden because the sunrise location is the best. read more

The manager is extremely helpful and makes sure you're getting the best deal (coupons/card holder deals/haute cash/etc.) They will assist you when needed in the dressing room (grabbing a new size or similar top that may look more flattering). I placed an order online (intended for the 4th of July) in the end of June to be delivered to the sunrise store. About 5-6 days later I received an email notifying me my delivery (in its entirety) was ready for pickup. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes in total (along with various clothing items) & not ONE pair of shoes was delivered-even though my confirmation email listed my shoes as delivered as well. Fast forward a MONTH later, SEVERAL pointless trips back to the store & countless calls to managers who ALL had different stories..now online cust svc is playing the blame game with the store associates, claiming the package was delivered & insinuating perhaps an associate had misplaced or taken the package(s). Finally, after a complaint with the better business bureau, a dispute claim with my bank for the refund they STILL haven't provided (today is July 19th) & a consultation w/my attorney for their breach of contract, my holiday outfit was ruined & I CONTINUE to fight this battle. Torrid online is untruthful & they are theives! I have receipts stating my COMPLETE order was delivered AND picked up ON TIME when in fact I refused the order THAT day because it was incomplete-even though I had already been charged for it. This is literally the THIRD time this has happened in the last 6-8mos. I previously placed an order for 3 items, they shipped ONE of the 3 THEN told me the others were out of stock-I never received any kind of notifications about the update, they didn't even give me the option to decide if I wanted the ONE item. Here's where it gets good! I called the store to see if my package had been delivered & was told ONE box was there. Frustrated, I go to pickup my 1 of FIVE boxes & it's 1 of the two "unavailable" items from the order I placed back in OCTOBER! Which probably says a lil about those associates attn to detail & properly logging their materials, but that's a diff review. Bottom line, Torrid (online specifically) has literally thee WORST customer service I have EVER encountered! From consumer, manager, associate, physical & online viewpoints, I have NEVER had such an AWFUL experience. THEY LIED & STOLE MY MONEY, now a MONTH later I'm STILL fighting for my refund. read more

I normally love this Torrid but today I'm extremely upset I called the store and spoke to someone at 12:11pm asking if they had the black jean Bermuda shorts I saw online in store, I let the woman know I was just making sure they are there and not just a online exclusive. I showed up to the store at 12:30pm, looked around but did not see the shorts. I asked both of the women there to help me find them and they said they don't have them. Neither of them admitted they answered the call or apologized for giving me wrong information. I do spend quite a bit here and was going to use my haute cash and it will definitely be awhile until I'm back. I'm sure it sounds like no big deal but I work outside in the heat and with the weather changing we are finally allowed to start wearing shorts so I was really looking forward to not burning up outside in full black pants. read more

We had a great experience here a few months ago. My girlfriend and I were nervous about money at the time but needed some new clothes. The clerks were all super easy going, supportive and helpful. After making up our minds and returning to the store, they kindly helped us find items we had put back. Then, to our pleasant surprise, they informed us of the amazing clearance sale going on (something crazy good like but one get two free). While we miss Torrid's old style(s), we were still able to find very nice clothing that met our needs and our budget, a hard trick to pull off with 'specialty' clothing that is normally priced up accordingly for plus-sized women and men. I'm a Torrid newbie and haven't bought myself a decent pair of pants in years (I'm talking outside of going to Walmart here). So I decided to finally go and get some new pants. I felt intimidated at first because well lets face it ladies, we never want to see our pants size when we've gain weight. I decided to try on a few pants and BAM! I felt younger and sexy again! I was pleasantly surprised that I could look great in decent pants that actually fits! The two stars has nothing to do with customer service I received from Tiffany and Olivia. I walked into Torrid today and wasn't greeted or even acknowledged until Olivia came out onto the floor and saw the pile of things I had already grabbed. She not only started a room, but asked what I was looking for and said she would throw in some suggestions for me. Once in the fitting room, she brought back many more suggestions and gave me her honest opinion on everything I tried. Tiffany took over when Olivia left the floor and was also amazing to not just me, but other customers that had came in. The 2 girls that were behind the counter when I walked in couldn't even take two seconds to say hi to me or offer what deals were going on. This seems to be the norm. I shop there frequently and Olivia seems to remember me. It's only worth shopping in there when she is working. read more

Everyone was Nice at Torrid. I am just very frustrated about the Pants. I am a Tall lady and often have a hard time finding pants the fit in length for me. I was have been working hard to lose some weight and got down 3 pant sizes and needed new pants! Yeah me! I found some great pants that were marked as Long... and they Fit perfect!! ( as the angles start to sing!!) OK so they were still a bit loose at my hip. So I had them altered to be even more perfect. Then I mad a Huge mistake!! I washed them. I followed the instructions perfectly. To my absolute amazement.... THEY SHRUNK!!! almost 2 1/2 inches in length. Now I look like I have Floods on!. ACK! So Unhappy. I cannot return them because I had them altered. Very frustrated about the pants because they fit so wonderfully at first and now I just have to start my search again. Seriously I just had a blast shopping at Torrid on a Wednesday night near closing time. I had a gift card and 2 haute cash certs and I was ready to shop. With about an hour and a half to close I wanted to go on a mini spree. I found a lot of cute things and was set up with a dressing room. This is where my visit really shines. Claire set me up with my room and checked in with me often. She ran back and forth and offered suggestions and cheered me on about my selections. I really felt like I had a personal shopper. She had so many things to out away and never acted put out. She seemed like she was having fun helping me. (What a concept) At one point I text my husband and told him I was having a ball. Now this is huge because when you have put on some weight and are feeling down clothing shopping is not fun.(In my opinion) I was really having fun. We (Claire and I) eventually found some great pieces. Thank you Claire and the manager (she should own a cardigan shop) for such a positive experience. The two of you really made my night! read more

First time coming to this store and I was impressed with the stock. The Arden Fair mall is usually out of everything and this was well stocked. It would get more stars however I felt misled. The clearance sign said buy one get one free but when I checked out they informed me no it's buy one get one half off. Love this store. The one in the galleria seems cramped and doesn't have the selection like this location. They were very helpful with grabbing my clothes and putting them on the rack for me while I kept looking for more stuff. I had to wait like 5 mins for a fitting room because there were only 2 people on the floor, break time I think. Other than that it was a good shopping experience. I tried on a lot of stuff and they were on it with getting me different sizes and colors of jeans (I hate shopping for jeans!) I had to leave because I already spent more than I thought I would. Its been a while since i went in. But i remember this girl in a black n white striped top helped me. She put me in a fitting room n checked up on me. I told jer i just got off work n was walking home n i wanted to wear it out so she let me change in the fitting room. I asked her if i could have one if those cheap rubber bands behind the cash wrap (i used to work there from 2006 to 2012) she asked me what it was for n i told her i was gonna put my hair up. She excitedly said ohhhh u know what! I just bought hair ties...i havent opened them yet...she went in back n gave me one of hers. Loved this store. I have honestly never had an experience like this in a clothing store before. The women are amazing and very helpful. I didn't know my sizes and they were there to help and assist the whole way through. Their store is extremely clean. Everything is well put together and organized. The fitting rooms! My goodness. They start a room for you and you can continue shopping. They run back and forth to get you different sizes. The fitting rooms are stylish, super clean, and comfortable. I love the garden looking rack the have for your clothes. There never seems to be enough hooks in a changing room but Torrid work smart. I really enjoyed being in this store. I felt welcome and I didn't feel judged. The Only thing.... It's expensive.... For me anyway. I went in to use my birthday 10 dollar off card on two pair of jeans. Well apparently, I was just soo happy to find a pair that fit so well that I bought the jeans and forgot to use my card. At the urging of my hubby, I went in to see if she would be willing to let me return the jeans and repurchase them. She said it wouldn't be a problem at all. This was awesome considering that I also forgot my Torrid credit card and they had to look up the number a second time. She really went above and beyond, and for that I will always shop here. I have been shopping at this specific Torrid since they opened at Sunrise Mall many years ago. This store always had great store managers. They kept up on the recovery of the store, always greeted every customer as soon as you walked through the door. Unfortunately, there obviously have been recent changes at this store as I will never shop there again. Twice, I went to the store within the last month, and before I proceed the store was not busy, I was not once greeted nor asked if I needed help the entire time I was in the store. The store itself was a disaster, not appealing to shop. There were multiple employees walking around, but not one person acknowledged me. The last time I went in, employees were in the dressing room trying on clothes themselves instead of helping customers. The person at the register was very slowly taking their time processing customer purchases. Once it was my turn, I wasn't asked if I was in their loyalty program, I had to mention it to the employee and the employee just did not have the customer service that store had always had in the past. I did make a complaint to corporate, but never received a response back. It is really too bad, my daughter and I loved buying our clothes there. Time to find somewhere else. read more
