He is willing to come back if the 2 coats of sealer need more attention. I am impressed with his knowledge of tile and his fistedness at cleaning and care. Hopefully this coating will last a year but if not he will reseal the tile. The willingness to stand by his work is very important to me.

I purchased three slabs of marble for my kitchen, and after speaking with two independent fabricators, I learned that I would have to sign a release of liability for installation. Both fabricators explained that marble is extremely porous and prone to chipping and cracking, and they both advised that marble should never be used for a kitchen countertop. Anything acidic : lemon juice, vinegar, soda can dull and etch marble even when it has been sealed. Wine, citrus, tomato sauce, coffee, and oils can all leave stains or dark spots. If you don't use any of these in your kitchen, you might be safe; but if you do, they will leave a lasting impression. When I explained this to the owner and requested a full refund despite the slabs never being moved or fabricated, he refused. I even offered to pay $1,500 to be reasonable, but that was also declined. If that is the kind of business you want to deal with Petra Stone is the place for you.

We remodeled our entire home in May and did most of the work ourselves. We picked out the tile for…read morethe floors and decided to splurge on the shower tile and got a mosaic Carrera marble. The catch was that I was going to install it to save some $$. After some time, we decided to get some quotes on the work instead. We got a couple quotes for the floor tile and it was pretty inexpensive but we wanted to make sure we had the right person. After talking to Brad, there was no doubt he was the right choice. I finally found someone who was just as meticulous as I am. He came out to give us a quote for the floor install as well as the shower and recommended floating the shower instead of taking the easy way and putting down cement board and slapping the tile on. We know we could have done it much cheaper with someone else, but that is not what we were looking for. I am glad we did, Brad was here every day bright and early and didn't leave until he was satisfied with what was done. He communicated every step of the process as well as the timeline. He stuck to his quote and timeline and we couldn't ask for more. The level of detail is insane, we picked a difficult material to work with but the cuts are spot on, the patterns roll into the corners, and the niches turned out exactly where we wanted them. The kitchen floor was no different, where most tile guys would make square cuts around the feet of the wine fridge, Brad cut perfect little circles around the feet so It was nice and tight. If there were any slight questions, he didn't hesitate to ask for my opinion and direction because he wanted to make sure we got the end result that we were looking for.
