Ordering on their website was easy and I liked that you can input a time for pickup. The difficult part was scrolling through the menu to decide what to order. I decided on the House Special Beef Noodle Soup (Phở Đặc Biệt). It included rice noodles, rare beef, well-done beef, tripe, beef ball, tendon, veggies and sauce. There's also extras you can add if you're so inclined. With my order I also got the Vietnamese Pancake (Bánh Xèo) complimentary. I had attended a Virtual Yelp Event with a Vietnamese restaurant in Buffalo (Pho Lantern Restaurant) that demonstrated how to make the pancake and it looked so good that I knew the next time I went to a Vietnamese restaurant I'd have to try it. This may or may not be surprising but there aren't any eggs in the pancake. The yellow colour comes from turmeric powder. The pancake from Toronto Pho came with shrimp, pork, coconut, and veggies. By the time I got home the broth was still warm and everything was packaged separately with no spillage. The noodles came in a bowl that you could eat out of but since I was sharing we split everything into 2 bowls. The amount of noodles was unreal. I couldn't finish my portion and had to save it for the next meal. There was a good amount of veggies that came with it as well. The broth was saltier than what we're used to but it wasn't a big deal. The pancake was huge! The amount of veggies that were provided filled a whole plate. If I hadn't had a demonstration on how to make and then eat the pancake I would've cut it up piece by piece and had some of the veggies with it. It's typically eaten with your hands. Take a piece of lettuce, herbs, tear a piece of the pancake and then roll it up in the lettuce leaf and dip in the fish sauce. I really enjoyed the pancake and will definitely be looking for this at any Vietnamese restaurant that I go to. Thank you to Toronto Pho for letting me try the pancake.

Pho special, deep fried spring roll, bun bo hue

Pho is one of my favourite foods, so I was so excited to discover this place via Instagram. Toronto Pho has three locations: Toronto - 2109 Jane St and 2473 Dufferin St Hamilton - 1070 Stone Church Rd E I visited the 2109 Jane St one and ordered the bun bo hue, pho special and the deep fried spring roll. I was very impressed with what we got. Since covid, many places have increased their prices and decreased their portions. Toronto Pho's prices are comparable with other Vietnamese restaurants, but their portions weren't compromised. Both noodle dishes had lots of fresh meat and noodles and we weren't still hungry after our meal. In fact, we were quite full and very satisfied. Their bun bo hue does not have pork hock, but does have the ham and pork blood. Service was pretty quick and we had no complaints about our order. Bonus points for their aesthetic, eco-friendly packaging! Overall, will definitely back and will also try their drinks!

WORTH THE DRIVE I've been seeing Toronto Pho Restaurant all over my social media. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, House Special Pho, Spring rolls, and the Vava Viet! The Chicken Pad Thai had such rich and vibrant flavours , super tasty! The boyfriend got the House Special. Bringing him to any pho place is stressful since he's Viet and he's super picky! He really enjoyed it to the point where after we ate in the car, he bought an extra pho home for his dad to try! Their pho also got Babes Dad's stamp of approval! The spring rolls didn't exactly stand out to us but I find that it's personal preference... Some people like more taro and some people prefer less in their spring roll. The Vava Viet definitely cooled me down as I was eating in the car, so refreshing! I loved the packaging and I also loved how they separated the raw meat from the cooked meat. You can tell how thoughtful they are with their packaging. Although the PadThai was gifted to me, everything else was paid for. This is my honest review and experience I had I'm glad that they reached out to me, so I could finally get my potato self out of the house . Thank you again for inviting me (PLEASE OPEN UP IN MARKHAM)

Grilled Beef and Shrimp on Sugar Cane Vermicelli (Bún Bò Nướng Chạo Tôm)

Visited Toronto Pho restaurant over the weekend and got some amazing Vietnamese food :) Pictured here is the V13: Grilled Beef and Shrimp on Sugar Cane Vermicelli (Bún Bò Nướng Chạo Tôm) This was such a filling meal, I normally get the soupy pho but I'm so glad I decided to try something different this time, the beef was juicy and tender and the salad was super fresh even after a bit of a drive! And then for me the star of the show was the sugar cane shrimp, I'd heard of it but never found a place that made it ofcourse until now. It was just so crispy and yet juicy with that hint of sugar cane flavour without being overpowering, such a perfect balance and I'm all about that! Got some bubble tea too to wash down all that deliciousness, we tried the coconut milk tea and brown sugar milk tea. Both were so yummy and refreshing. Loved the aesthetic Toronto wall art, so cool. Will go back for indoor dining! I took away 1 star only for the fact when I called in to order the staff was a bit confused about my order and I had to go in and place my order and wait around for a bit so there was some delay. They do have online ordering too though so maybe that's a better idea for next time :)

Va Va Viet Coffee & Avocado Smoothie

Located in Toronto & Mississauga Their menu offers a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese cuisine and has a large drink menu. The restaurant has super friendly service and such a unique design. We tried the Va Va Viet Coffee and in addition ordered their Avocado Smoothie and Deep Fried Spring Rolls. The Va Va Viet Coffee was cooling with a nice icy/crunchy texture. The drink had a strong Vietnamese Coffee flavour but was not overwhelming. We enjoyed trying this drink and would order it again. The Avocado Smoothie was so creamy and smooth. The drink was not too thick and not to thin, making it a perfect consistency. The Deep Fried Spring Rolls were brittle on the outside and tender in the inside. It was full of pork, carrot, taro and vegetables. Overall, we enjoyed visiting this spot and trying out their menu. However, their locations are a bit too far for us, but if we are in the area we would definitely return again! 7/10

This is one of my favourite pho places hands down. Quality and service has always been consistent. Their chicken n shrimp pad Thai is the BEST! It's so zingy and flavourful! Their mango bubble tea is another one of my favourites! Love their pho too! Def worth going to all their locations! Love the one in Hamilton also :)

The food was amazing as expected and so was the service. The service was fast and very helpful. But honestly I been going there for the last few days and one thing, a person has truly brought colour to this place. A girl so beautiful you can mistake her for a angel she looks so heavenly and sweet, I think she the real reason I go back everyday, she always there sitting in the corner in her own little world it's so adorable especially those small little smiles of hers . I seen her make drinks so she definitely a worker there, she makes that place look so lively it's truly blows me away that a girl like that exists. A girl so rich in her outfits and clearly a woman with wonderful taste in food. If I come back and she there I could eat for hours, she is so memorizing to the eye, idk how I can describe it. I recall her saying her name was Alice. Such a beautiful angel in a place so close to heaven this place is a dream,10/10 recommendation

Wine braised pho hotpot - I really enjoyed this hotpot - even more so than their typical pho. You can get unlimited soup refills too which is great. Broth is light yet flavorful. Pho - decided to try their "regular " pho which has a bit more herbal notes than their hotpot. It's not bad but I could see some of the herbal/spice undertones being off putting to some. Stret style platter - lots of good, great variety, very fresh. Loved this dish - getting to make your own customized roll is worth it. Durian crema coffee - an interesting that I've never seen. It's line a typical coffe but a large and thick layer of durian foam layer on top of the coffee. Price: A bit higher than other pho places but well worth trying

Tips: - This place takes debit and cash only…read more - The hot tea is scorching hot. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

I will say that the server was so kind and when she heard we were watching our salt intake, she offered to make our broth less salty. They were still tasty but less salty. We were so pleased! We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.

You either love it or hate it, but I love tendon and we ordered this specifically because they mentioned they will add a bone of tendon. Not sure if it's in all bowls or just what they had left. It was certainly worth the money with the offer. While we picked and cut away all the tender tendon pieces, there are some connective tendon pieces that are still bit stiff, I mean I try to pressure cook it bit more later along with my ingredients when I got home to get the adjoining tendons between the bones and made another collagen rich soup / broth. We also ordered a broken rice dish with chicken and it was good too. We had a lot of leftovers and the next day the soup broth did thicken up indicating a good amount of bone broth. Overall service was great and they even had the FIFA game playing on the screen. Definitely a spot we'll add to our rotation.
