dragon roll
Najiha M.

Honestly one of the best and freshest sushi spots in Henderson! I am always so happy when I'm here and it's been consistent everytime I go (I have been here 3 times). The sashimi is amazing and I don't even usually do rolls, but their OMG roll and dragon roll IS SOOOO GOOD YOU NEEDA TRY. The service is insanely fast and I genuinely don't know how they do it. If you're in Henderson, you need to come here!!

I'm always wary about trying new sushi spots (real talk: Seattle spots are on a pedestal for me) but came across Toro Sushi, specifically their lunch specials, on Instagram. After running errands all afternoon, I swung by to finally check it out and am SO glad I did. This place is small and cozy, but service was speedy and friendly. The portion sizes were HUGE, and the bento gave so much to sample for $14. Yes, only $14! Everything, from the teriyaki to tempura, was so tasty and filling. We left extremely satisfied and kept raving about this find (thanks, IG!). I can't wait to try some of their rolls next time!

Thank you for making a little extra for our girls.

Love this place! We have been coming to this sushi spot for years now and it's always great. Fresh sushi and friendly staff. They even cut an orange into a cute bear when my daughter had asked for a slice bc her dinner plate didn't come with one.

Chef's special to go.

Yelp Review #41 of 2025 Came here on November 19, 2025 around 5:30pm to celebrate my wife's birthday with our family of five. We've been loyal customers for years, always treated the staff with respect, tipped generously, and never once needed a reservation. There were clearly open tables when we walked in. One of the hostesses started to seat us as usual, but an older woman we've had decent interactions with many times before suddenly stopped everything to ask if we had reservations. When we said no, she became extremely confrontational, told us they now require reservations (news to us), and basically showed us the door. No apology, no attempt to accommodate us, just rude and dismissive behavior on a special occasion. We left feeling humiliated and disrespected. After years of supporting this place, that's how they treat regular customers? Absolutely unacceptable. This was our last visit, we will never be back and can't recommend anyone else waste their time or money here. Plenty of other restaurants in town know how to treat people with basic courtesy.

All that's left of my Henderson roll when I remembered to take a photo. The roll was great, the fresh wasabi took it over the top.

The freshest sushi in town! Everything we had was top-notch, super fresh, beautifully plated, and generous portions. The fish-to-rice ratio was spot on! This place is consistently reliable and great! We tried the Henderson Special, halibut and salmon nigiri, salmon roll, and sweet shrimp -- all incredible. But the real game-changer? The fresh wasabi. OMG... yummy doesn't even begin to cover it. Huge shoutout to James at the sushi bar! Next time we are trying the James special bluefin tuna salad, we saw someone else order and it looked incredible!

Love this place so much. Unassuming when you enter, it is the food which really shines here. Some of the freshest and well plated sushi I have found. Everything was delicious. The staff is super willing to answer any questions or substitute at your request. Definitely going back.

Top: Spicy tuna roll Bottom: shrimp tempura rolls

Food: shrimp tempura rolls, white tuna paradise, yellowtail with yuzu, dragon roll, hamachi roll, spicy tuna roll. All the rolls were tasty. My DD really liked the shrimp tempura rolls. We didn't care for the white tuna paradise one. I think we would come back to try the more traditional nigiri sushi at the bar next time and see how that is. Service: attentive and friendly. Ambiance: it's a small place and has a sushi bar.

This place ALWAYS k iccks it out of the park, with their excellent customer service, excellent sushi, and all around kindness. They're a true gem in this part of town. The food comes out fast, it's super fresh, and you'll never leave hungry.

Seared spicy blue fin tuna & regular blue fin tuna

Toro sushi is our neighborhood "sushi go-to" place. We've been regulars since they opened during Covid. Jin, sushi chef, is always friendly, welcoming, and offers the best & freshest products. Inside is a small sushi bar with a few tables. Large party of plus 10 would be a tight squeeze. The day's specials are listed on a small chalkboard. So I ordered 4 from the board- Chutoro, blue fin tuna, seared spicy blue fin, & salmon belly. Jin promptly prepared & served. The fish:rice portion is good with a dab of fresh wasabi on top. My wife & I devoured it quickly. The fatty tuna melts in the mouth with its rich chewy texture & palate satisfying sweetness. The same is true with the rests of the sushi. Hamachi Kama, grilled tuna collar, is a staple with my wife. Consider it the filet mignon of fish. Deliciously tender dipped in the ponzu sauce. The udon was piping hot-yet doesn't scald your mouth & pairs well with the broiled fish specially this cold season. Did I mention that the price & quality of the fish here is unbeatable? Go visit this place & order from "today's specials!"

Baked mussels. So good!

Yowza! I can understand why people really like this place. Even though it's a bit small, the service is amazing and the food is even better. We strolled in around 6pm on a Saturday and I think we were lucky to beat the crowd. We were seated right away and there were plenty of seats available. In the next 15 min, there would be a steady grouping of people waiting to sit around the front door. The decor is cute, with the classic sushi counter available to sit at. I liked how clean and nice smelling the bathroom was. We sat in the back by the kitchen and bathroom, something I usually get offended by, especially when there were almost all seats in the front of the restaurant open but I think they were just doing what planes should do, back to front. The service here really shines. You will never have an empty drink glass and they do such a good job making sure to keep your small table clear, especially if you order a lot at once, like we did. Everyone was super friendly to us, it felt like I knew them for a long time. You know what else really shines? The food. So fresh, so yummy! The highlights for me were the rice-less rolls. These were seriously like the fancy sashimi you get in very, very expensive restaurants but for half the price. I also was obsessed with the spicy garlic edamame, so much so I completely forgot to even take a pic of it, just dug right in. Don't worry that this isn't an AYCE place or that the menu is a bit smaller. The focus on quality and freshness here. It's worth it.

This is a great family Japanese restaurant. Large generous servings, tasty food and friendly service team. Sushi and sashimi quality is very good, not the best but anyone who knows and eats sushi on a regular basis will appreciate the quality of the sushi items and the presentation. The chicken and beef teriyaki are some of our favorites.

Sushi dinner. 7 piece chefs choice and a roll. Not pictured is the salad and miso soup.

Love coming here. Feels like a local gem. The quality of fish as well as service is amazing. This small establishment makes you feel welcome and cozy.

This is my go-to place for a Japanese lunch...their spicy garlic edamame is great according to my husband; we also ordered the lunch special and they were good and filling. Service was spot on, water filled and was asked how the food was. Ambiance is good, clean and welcoming. As I said before, my go-to for Japanese food!

It is just off Eastern within the Eastern Marketplace Plaza, with huge signage and ample parking. once inside you're greeted with beautifully intentional japanese-inspired decor, from ramen menu planks in Japanese at the host's station to a very cool tree-styled wood with what I can only assume are wishes and prayers across it all. The standout decor is the hexagon cubbies along the right side, as well as the yogurt bottle shaped table area. It's so unique but beautifully executed. Before I even get to the food, I need to shout out the service. Our server was incredible - so knowledgeable and made some spectacular recommendations, and checked on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. As for the food, we tried the Omurice, the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, and a few desserts: Matcha Pudding with Red Bean, and Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly. The Omurice was so well done, and I really enjoyed the fried rice bed underneath. The ramen's broth was exquisite. Very rich and flavorful, and the ramen noodles were cooked to perfection. The pork was well seasoned and tender as well. The desserts, both of them, were light and delicate, not at all heavy and made for a perfect finisher to end the meal. This is 5 stars across the board. Yes the ramen is a bit pricey but the quality and care in the meal is so evident. The service was top notch. 100% recommend, and I guarantee I'll be back!

The soup started out okay, but as I got through the bowl, it seemed to get saltier and saltier, especially once the noodles were gone. It became a bit much by the end. One fun detail: make sure you finish your broth and check the bottom of the bowl! Apparently, you can win a free meal if your bowl is marked "Free". Overall, it was a decent experience, but the flavors didn't quite wow me enough to visit again.

The atmosphere inside felt very much like one of those Asian food markets, with really cool signs hanging from the ceiling, and a really cool moon texture mural on one side. We were seated immediately, and began to look through the menus. They had standard Asian lunch foods, as well as a separate hot pot menu. I've never had hot pot before, so I decided to give that a try. Essentially, you pick your hot pot base, and then you add on any other additional toppings or sides. I got the tonkatsu hot pot. Service was pretty fast, and when they bring out your hot pot, they bring it on a metal heating device with a sterno candle inside that they light. After only a couple of seconds, the pot started boiling, and I actually had to have them turn it off, because there was no way I would be able to eat it that hot. The flavors were fantastic, the noodles were exceptional, and my coworkers enjoyed their standard Chinese fair, which included Mongolian beef and honey walnut prawns. Looking at the menu, they have the usual items, but also quite a number of items that Top doesn't have. Also, the lunch menu is $2 cheaper than Top. We needed extra time to peruse the menu, then ordered an array of items. We also ordered some udon, and chicken katsu curry. I was worried that the portions were going to be too big, but they are mini sized, so you can order more to try different items. The sushi is similar to Top, but the fish was slightly smaller, and the rice slightly larger. The quality was good!
