I will say overall for those who enjoy sushi and are not in an all you can eat meat but would rather seek out quality this is a great place to go to. The salmon and tuna are very good they have great rice (which can be very different depending the place) and the size of there rolls justifies the price. It tasted fresh, staff was nice, this is an easy recommendation. The only possible knock I have is I often go an eat with my younger siblings and they do not like the raw fish or seaweed, I found the pricing regarding a cucumber roll with soy paper a bit excessive. With that being said I still greatly enjoyed my meal I just would not order again if I had the kids as those items that usually are cheaper I believe cost about 8$ a roll for some cucumber and rice. read more

Love the sushi here! Been here twice already and both times, the sushi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The best deal is to order their combo meals which comes with salad and I *LOVE* their salad dressing - very refreshing! Their special sushi roll is very cute too (see pic). It's a small restaurant at a strip mall, fits less than 20 people. So definitely make a reservation or both times I've been, I called while on the way there and since we came just before the rush, we got seated right away. Good service too! Best sushi I have ever had in my life! I'm so happy that this place is just down the road from my house. Toro Sushi is a small restaurant with limited bar and table seating, so make your reservation as soon as you can. Toro Sushi is a hidden gem wedged in between Tacotarian and Papa John's. My boyfriend LOVES sushi and he was so excited to try this place out. It was packed with almost every seat taken when we walked in, but since we had a reservation, we were seated almost immediately. We started off with some gyoza, which we shared. The gyoza, in my opinion, pairs perfectly with the complimentary soy sauce that we were given. Next up was the nigiri, which was fresh and excellent. Then out came the big plates! I ordered the ultimate tuna roll and my boyfriend ordered the OMG roll, 16 rolls total. We shared one another's rolls and they were both AMAZING. OMG, indeed. The food was so good that I am practically dying to come back here again. Writing this review, I'm already hungry thinking about those rolls. Lol. The service was very quick - we arrived for our 7:30 reservation and we paid the check at around 8:20. COVID protocols are being followed and our table came with our own bottle of hand sanitizer. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars, because honestly, it all tasted good. But I should have known better than to accept my pork tonkatsu with egg that wasn't fully cooked. I didn't trust my gut, and in the end I regretted my decision. I mean come on, why would a restaurant serve me something that was bad right?! A few hours later, my son and I, who shared dishes, ended up throwing all of our food up, shivering with a fever all night, along with multiple other food poisoning symptoms. Long day at work left me wanting something light and savory. It was already late in the evening and I was hoping I could place a quick order for pick up. TORO Sushi completely saved my appetite with some heavenly rolls! I called and placed a quick order and food was ready within 20 minutes. As I arrived the whole staff was inviting and all greeted me as if I was their first customer. I was so impressed with the welcome ! I ordered a few rolls to share with the family and some edamame. My family has been coming here since 2019, we've eaten here probably 50 times and we have only ever received the absolute BEST service! The owner remembers us every time we come and always has the brightest smile on her face! On top of all that, the food can not be beat! Thanks to Shirley B. I discovered this little sushi place and I am so glad. Tucked away in a shopping center off Valle Verde in the same plaza as Twisted Sugar. I have dined here twice now, both times for lunch. They have a great lunch special for $9.99 which includes your choice of a protein, miso soup, salad, gyoza, four California rolls, and shrimp/veggie tempura. I have enjoyed this lunch twice along with hot tea. The service is incredible as everyone who works here is so nice. My server even remembered me from my first time. These are the kind of sushi places I like, small and intimate and most of all friendly. I can't wait to return for dinner and have a full on sushi meal with my husband. I don't live nearby but I think this place is worth the drive across town for me. When in the area and craving sushi, give this place a try! read more

I really liked this unassuming sushi spot near home! Toro Sushi has delicious sushi and friendly service. The inside of the restaurant is small, but they have a few tables and bar seating at the sushi bar. Our waitress was really friendly. She was attentive to making sure that I had everything I needed for my toddler. It wasn't a long wait before the sushi rolls were brought to our table. At the end the chef sent over the most adorable orange cut to look like a bear. My favorite rolls were The Golden Knight Roll and the Jesty Salmon Roll. The Golden Knight Roll hit the spot for a spicy roll. The Jesty Salmon had my favorite combination of salmon and lemon. Also delicious were the Shrimp Tempura Roll and Vegetable Tempura. The California Roll worked well for my daughter. All of the rolls were beautifully plated with cute edible designs on some. read more

Came in for the first time because we wanted some good sushi but didn't want to go all the way to Vegas or Chinatown. We saw some really cool looking sashimi platters on Yelp, but they didn't have the fish for the one we wanted this time. We ordered some things off of their daily specials: salmon belly, hamachi belly, and toro nigiri. We also got James' Special, which is whatever the chef chooses for us (without rice). We were still hungry after that so we ordered another hamachi cut roll and the shrimp tempura udon. My favorite was probably one of the tuna wrapped krab rolls in James' Special. I came here based on reviews. The service was "not so great" once the waitress took my order she pretty much disappeared. I didn't realize that I didn't have a plate or napkins and she never really came back. The place is small, not a ton of tables. Sushi was good and had some pretty good options.
