Came here for dinner while I was visiting Lompoc area for wine tasting. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. This place is now called Toro Loco so id you're looking for it under Taco Loco you won't find it. Would definitely come here again.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. It's more of like a fast food Mexican place, but I really enjoy the food and would recommend trying it out. I really like their fish tacos the white sauce is amazing and always ask for extra! I know they have changed owners a few times, but for the most part the food has stayed the same. Although the Chile rellenos were plain, this time they had a sauce over it. Which I thought was a nice touch and I really liked. They have a variety on the menu and even serve breakfast!

Their nachos have a lot going on. Quite tasty and filling. I've also had the tacos and the Carnitas burritos at different times. You order at the counter. The shop is clean with a handful of tables available.

Cheese enchilada, Shredded beef taco, and a small bite size bean burrito (that was also supposed to have shredded beef in it but did NOT).

Cute patio,Great food and price but menu needs updating. I ordered a #17 COMBO- (combos come with rice and beans... apparently this one DID NOT. After I got it they said NOPE it doesn't. Super weird, the menu states it does. I understand that prices are rising but we should still know what is included in our order.

Taco Loco is a counter service restaurant serving from-scratch, Mexican food. I am not sure if they are related to the previous Taco Loco #2/3 located here a couple years earlier, but this is a second restaurant to place the on W. central (Lompoc). This recently-opened location features a clean and remodeled dining room. They even have fresh tortilla chips complimented by a small salsa bar. The quick service won't keep you waiting very long, even during the mid-day lunch time. On both visits, I ordered the (lucky) #13 consisting of a beef burrito, rice/beans, and a fried taco which was hot, fresh, and authentically oily. If you're feeling indulgent, try the Xango (banana cheesecake filled pastry) desert; you will thank me later:) I recommend this place for lunch/dinner if your in the craving local Mexican food in a clean, divey atmosphere.

This is one of the better places to get your grub on if you are craving Mexican food. There isn't any special decor or ambiance but the food and service make up for it. It's pretty small inside so bringing a group might not be ideal but prices are fair and the food is pretty good. The menu is not very extensive which makes ordering easy. I'm sure all the available menu options are consistently great. I went with a small group of friends lately and there were no complaints. In comparison, by dinning here, you will probably spend 8 to 10 dollars instead of 20 dollars for the same quality you might get elsewhere. Don't be intimidated by the looks of the place, try it!

I love these local Mexican/Tex mex food spots in Lompoc. I pass Taco Loco everyday on my way to work. The crew I'm traveling with have taken a liking to another restaurant around the corner. So today I decided to walk across the parking lot and hop the fence and walk over to taco loco. This restaurant is located in a strip mall. When you walk in there is a counter straight ahead and seating on both sides for about 16 people. One of the first things that I noticed when I walked in was there small self serve salsa bar. I walked to the counter and ordered their 2 beef enchilada combo with rice and beans. I got a bowl for some salsa and chips and took my seat. I got some of their mild salsa. There was a trough of salsa with a scoop in it. I was spooning it out like my life depended on it. Now the label on the salsa said that is was mild. Personally, I thought it had a skittle kick to it. Not so much kick that I didn't crush it! My enchiladas were on point and the meal it it's entirety was delicious. My meal was resonantly priced at $8.99. With that salsa bar and chips you could have charged me $13 and I would have been good. Not a bad spot to try is you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant. I will be back the next time I'm in Lompoc, CA.

A couple of $5.99 breakfasts.

I search out good Mexican food with the dedication that is unrivaled. I found this little hole in the wall in Lompoc and simply can't eat there enough. The food is exceptional. The place is clean and service is friendly. The prices are very reasonable 6 to 8 bucks for a meal. Not a whole lot of tables maybe 6 to 8 tables but they do a brisk takeout business. Traditional Mexican food done really well in a clean, friendly environment for a great price-perfect!

PLEASE owners if you're reading this! Get the chilaquiles recipe that Taco Loco on ocean ave used to make before they closed it and remodeled it and got new owners! They had amazing chilaquiles all of my family loved them! They were very spicy with a dark red salsa please get the recipe back from the owners that used to be on ocean ave!! I will rate it 5 stars if you bring those back.

WOAH! Drop any dinner plans you had an go here! Hidden gem in Mission. I have had a LOT of real…read moreauthentic Mexican food and all very good BUT this place ABSOLUTELY takes the #1 spot! I ordered the Quesa Birra, my dad had the chicken tacos and daughter had the fajita burrito and let me tell you. I'm going to be hard pressed to find a better place, and I don't say that lightly! The cook or I assume owner came to us and made sure everything was perfect. It was beyond perfect and then began to chat with us a bit. He takes his business very seriously. We also learned he has 2 sons serving in both the Marine Corps and Army. Literally I don't think there would be a thing on this menu that would not be 5 stars. Again, I don't say that lightly. His wife also made a strawberries and cream dessert that they brought us and THAT was amazing as well and certainly not something they had to do. This place deserves your business, many times. You will not be Disappointed! Go now, even if you already ate.

The guacamole and sour cream were fresh, and the asada was cooked well and had a delicious tang to it. My mouth is watering just thinking of it again... that should tell you enough. Now go get yourself some nachos!
