I love this truck and their food. Tacos and Mariscos El Culichi kept me and other coworkers well feed while working away from home and very long hours. Their food was always fresh and delicious. I am so glad we were able to discover this truck, they sell anything you may imagine, tacos, burritos, soups, seafood; you named it, they have it! Their salsas are amazing specially the red one. The employees were super nice they went out of their way to make us feel at home! I don't recall where is it by but is in front of a Liquor Store, parking is accessible. I have been going to this taco truck for a while now and it does not disappoint. I went yesterday and got 1 asada taco, 1 el pastor, and 1 chorizo. El Culichi is an authentic Mexican taco truck. The tacos are exquisite with very good quality. The meat is very well cooked. You can also turn one taco into two by taking off one tortilla and putting a little bit of meat in it. There is a lot of flavor in the taco and some spice too. Of course there is no ambience because it is a taco truck. You get your food in about 10 - 15 minutes usually. Although Tacos El Culichi is known for their seafood fare, they're actually one of the few places in town that offer birria tacos and actually do them well in my opinion. The tacos are juicy, flavorful, and crispy. Tacos are decently sized and priced. Their consome is flavorful and pairs wonderfully with the birria tacos. I'd say their birria tacos are comparable to Birria Boyz Tacos in terms of flavor. If you're in the mood for birria tacos, I'd highly recommend Tacos El Culichi. Overrated, over priced and over waiting 30 min minimum for a couple tacos, being mistreated & being put at risk for Covid. When they first opened these guys were courteous and accommodating. I have been to this place 4-5 times. On one occasion I expressed I was sad I couldn't order the aguachile dish I wanted since I was pregnant the guy offered to make it with cooked shrimp. We spent $50 and left happy. However all that has changed. Next time we went I tried to order the aguachile with cooked shrimp and the guy taking orders said they were out. That's it. Didn't offer anything else or apologize. How is a seafood truck simply out of shrimp?!? They couldn't cook any? Now they are popular for their birria cheese tacos. I had never tried them but had heard the hype. We went on at least two occasions and the lines were either way too long (crowds formed waiting for their order, and people in line without masks on) or they were closed due to selling out. Even though it was hours after opening up. The last time we went will be the last. We arrived an hour and a half after they opened. The order/front hatch door was closed but there was a guy hanging out the side door appearing to talk to people and still take orders. After waiting in line to speak to him and having him ignore me turning back to speak to the cooks and over me to other customers he asked what I wanted. I asked if they we're still taking orders or open and he replied "what do you want?" I asked if they had birria tacos and he said they were sold out but depending on how many I wanted he MAY be able to do something. I told him I'd like 6 total, 2 orders of 3. He said ok and charged me $26. We then waited in our car bc there was again a crowd formed and multiple people coming up to the side door not wearing masks. The cooks were also not wearing masks btw. After 45 minutes! I saw him take multiple orders despite telling me that they were sold out, give a couple of his friends orders who came in after I did, and take at least five orders from people not wearing masks. I had to stand out of the door bc after waiting that long and seeing people leave who ordered after I did. I figured I must have not heard him call my order. Nope. When I finally got my tacos (without salsa, napkins anything) I asked for the consume cup. He told me I didn't order any. Are you kidding me? 1. He didn't ask when I ordered if I wanted any 2. They advertise them together so I figured it came with it especially after getting charged that much. I let him know this and he just shrugged and proceeded to talk to another person who he knew by name and give him an order. They treated me like he was doing me a favor by giving me food as if I wasn't a paying customer. Since then I have found other much nicer people offering birria tacos in town & they include the consume! And when I want aguachile I make it myself for 1/4 of the price.
