At first I thought this park wasn't even listed on Yelp. Which is insane, it's MASSIVE. Then I…read morerealized it was listed simply as "Russian Jack Springs", which makes it sound like a quaint Canadian hot springs in the mountains...(I've since submitted an edit, it should show up with "park" in the title now) It's not that. It is a shockingly great park. It's in an area of town where you wouldn't expect to find a park, and it's quite massive. It's got green houses you can tour, a hill for sledding, trails for hiking/running, and even a GOLF COURSE and CLUBHOUSE. Is it a bougie golf course and clubhouse? Of course not. But it's cheap and solid. Golf for the people! I got some BBQ from Smokehouse which is less than a mile away, ate in the park, then went for a short walk on the trails to burn off that brisket, and I was still back to work in time. Don't take Anchorage living for granted! I hope to come back in the winter to get on that sledding hill!

Is there an Alaskan Snow Snake? (see pic)…read more After the fresh snow, there are so many cool things to gander upon. And even though there is a fresh powder, the tracks are still visible and ready to be skied. I can only speak on the cross country ski trails here, but I've been super impressed with them. There is also a sledding hill, skate skiing area and a lodge style building that I've never seen open. I understand there are also community greenhouses on the property that you can check out. After three trips here and over two hours spent, I have yet to see the entire park. So much to explore, great for beginners, and well lit. For being so close to a major road, I'm amazed at how quiet and serene this place is. There's a private parking lot, off Lidia Selkregg Lane. I've never had a problem finding a spot. I think parking is free because I didn't see any fee stations.

It was late in cruise season so ended up just being 4 of us which made this an even more amazing, intimate experience. I cannot say enough about what an incredible experience this tour was. To even call it a tour seems inaccurate since it felt more like we were picked up by an old friend that we hadn't seen in a while who wanted to show us the best of Alaska. I highly, highly, highly recommend this as an alternative to a simple bus transfer to Anchorage. The initial 2 hour drive through "postcard Alaska" was breathtaking and Bryan shared a ton of information about the area, including the earthquake that altered the area topography in amazing ways. The tram to the top of Alyeska was stunning and lunch was tasty among such a gorgeous backdrop. The first brewery in Girdwood was by far our group's favorite stop. Every beer was delicious, our host, Jake, was fun and knowledgeable, and they made us feel like family. We could have stayed all day. The second stop at the Anchorage Distillery was super informative, the staff very friendly and the cocktail was superb. We ended at Double Shovel and could not have asked for a better ending to the trip. We were met with a gorgeous day sitting in the open air tasting room and sipping on the tastiest ciders I've ever had. They're truly masters of their craft with a cider for every taste. Throughout all of this I cannot stress enough Bryan's professionalism, kindness, and depth of knowledge about Alaska. You can tell he takes immense pride in what he does and that he's forged deep and meaningful relationships with the vendors on the tour. If cost is making you hesitate, I will say that this was worth every penny and more. Don't hesitate and book today!!

Amazing time! Highly recommend this for anyone who loves craft beers and wants to get an authentic…read moreexperience of the local Alaskan brews. We experienced some of the best beers we have ever drank and loved hearing about the brewing process from the different brewmasters. It was fun, entertaining, and educational. And the charcuterie board was delicious!

I had tickets on ravn air from Homer but I was in Seldovia and could have taken a ferry or a flight…read moreto get to homer. The proprietors at the Airbnb I was at recommended a bush plane from Seldovia to homer to catch my flight from ravn air. I looked around and found a company that would take me from Seldovia to anchorage for 180$.... Ravn gives a full credit for cancellations (yay #ravnair ) and I got to take the most amazing flight with a very friendly pilot... I think his name was Mauricio and if not I am sorry as you were terrific!. Take is easy on this guy as he goes homer to four beautiful kiddos under the age of 7. There were a couple other passengers and I got to see a couple of really cute airports. The flight felt like a minute and I wish it lasted a lot longer.. if I save up for next summer I will be learning to fly one of these planes based on this experience. The owner took us to anchorage airport (15$- totally worth it and cheaper then any Uber). but my flight was about 7 hours away and I asked if there was a good place to enjoy the fresh air. he took me to a park with a lovely restaurant that let me charge my phone :). The front desk was wonderful and let me store my luggage. I sat on the grass and watched the float plane park and all its activity and I took a nice walk.. The whole experience with midnight air was fun and flawless and led to other wonderful experiences... Thank you... I can't wait to use you again in February to see my beloved homer and Seldovia! https://midnightair.business.site/?hl=en #midnightair
