Amazing experience! All thanks to Dana! When I mentioned I was going to propose to my girlfriend, Dana was ecstatic to jump into action, trying to orchestrate the surprise! She let me know her ideas and how she'd set us up to take the pictures and they came out great! Besides that, Dana really emphasized making all her passengers feel welcomed and comfortable with the hot drinks, snacks and conversation. She really made the difference between a good experience and a perfect one! Thank you, Dana!

Went in March 2024. It was very fun chasing the Northern Lights! It felt almost like we were hunting an animal by how quickly we would go from place to place and how we kept our eyes peeled for it in the sky.. We were able to see them in 4 separate locations (with the final location being the longest and clearest on the cloudy day we went). Hot cocoa, hot apple sider and hot tea were provided as well as snacks along the way. The driver even took photographs of each person in front of the auroras that we saw. The only negative: The caravan showed "oil change required" and "brake fluid maintenance required" when we first got in. That was a little concerning considering we were going 2-2.5 hours into the wilderness and it was still very icy outside.

My 4 tours with Greatland to see the Northern Lights changed my entire life. After the first tour, I went home and booked 3 more for the following week ...... Mike might be the greatest person I have ever met and because of him, I know that my calling in life is to be an Aurora guide. I have also been back to Fairbanks 2 more times this summer to get a feel for where I want to live. My life changed because of Greatland Adventures. The small groups made the experience very intimate and personal. Mikes' expertise, knowledge, passion and enthusiasm made the nights fun , exciting and emotional and his photography skills are amazing. We did not get just one souvenir photo, we got a photo dump of over 200 for each night.. so many views, poses and amazingness. It was all so dream like. I have no desire to try any other tour company. Greatland knows how to make this experience epic. Impossible to say enough good things...... Thank you for changing my life Greatland !!! See you soon !!

    A production in the sky!

So thankful we choose to adventure with Greatland and their team of Aurora experts!! Our Northern Lights experience was better than I could've dreamed!! At first when we got to our location, it was very faint but as we sipped our cider in the bus, we had a full blown show presented in the sky and went on and on for 30 mins. Up and down and all around!! I would highly recommend the team in Anchorage! Took us on a 2 1/2 hour drive but worth the experience of a lifetime!!

Steve, Alissa, and Bill were amazing guides and were able to help me achieve one of my bucket list items of seeing the Northern Lights. The pictures they took were amazing. The service was topnotch. They even provided cold weather gear for the experience which made the whole experience even more amazing. We not only took great pictures of the auroras, but we also did some constellation spotting, learned facts about Alaska, the Auroras, and the night sky. 10/10 would go with them to see the Auroras again.

We did the Northern Lights tour and our guide, Joe was super wonderful. He was very genuine and engaging with the group. Joe was extremely resourceful and knowledgeable regarding the aurora. The pictures he took for us were amazing and thoughtful. Highly recommend and thankful to have Joe as our guide.

Went on a few tours with this team. Staff is super knowledgeable and extremely nice. When visiting Alaska, I'd book with them again! They have the Best probability for seeing the northern lights of any to tour group around!

Went in April 2024. My husband and I took our 13-year-old granddaughter to see the aurora over her spring break, knowing it was late in the season but with our fingers crossed she would still see something memorable and exciting. We almost didn't. Our first aurora tour was with another company. We were picked up at the hotel and taken to a cozy, warm lodge with snacks and drinks, very nice people and comfortable sofas for napping. Our guide kept checking his computer, heading outside now and again--and reminding us that no one can predict whether the aurora will appear. Thankfully, the next night we went with Greatland Adventures, and things could not have been more different. As a matter of fact, we consider our aurora trip to be not only a "travel adventure" for all of us, but more importantly a "life lesson" for our granddaughter: you can't sit around and wait on the good things you want to drop in your lap. You have to do your homework and figure out what you have to do to get what you want, then get up and go after it. With enthusiasm. That's exactly what our guide, "Aurora Merlin" Mike did. He researched what the satellites were picking up about solar activity, studied the weather reports on cloud cover and winds, listened to chatter from other guides--and off we went. Clearly, Mike had mapped out every hidden-away pull-over and secluded parking area for miles, lovely places where the aurora might be viewed in wonder and peace without the distraction of a surrounding mob. His depth of knowledge was most impressive about the aurora and about photography, his excitement was contagious, and still, he was attentive to the needs of individuals on his tour. He involved all passengers in conversation to put everyone at ease, engaged the group in decision-making about where to head out, offered chairs for us "elderly" folks-- Altogether, a truly rare and remarkable experience. One night the aurora hit a home run with a "blooming" in the sky, another night the aurora "showed off" with a purple band above the clouds. Each night was perfect in its own way, and with the cloud cover over Fairbanks, we would have seen nothing had we waited on the lights to come to us. Nothing. In the airport on the way home, I heard two groups talking about their attempts to see the aurora. One group stayed five days, another two. Neither group had seen anything of the lights while they were there. Nothing. Both groups had been told by their guides that it was too late in the season, winter is the best time, no one can say when the lights will appear, the cloud cover was bad-- Every word of that is true. Every word. Yet, we saw the aurora three nights (including the night they were visible from our room in Pikes Waterfront Lodge). "Aurora Merlin" Mike, we thank you for your patience with the old folks and the early teen. None of us will forget the incredible wonder of the aurora, and we pray the youngest of us remembers the "aurora life lesson" of don't wait for good things to come your way: know what you want and go after it. With enthusiasm. So it is that we recommend Greatland travel adventures with great enthusiasm and tremendous gratitude for the sweet, sweet memories.

She was a wealth of knowledge and such a fun person to spend the day with. Everywhere we went, she seemed to know everything. She interspersed personal anecdotes allowing us to get to know her better and to understand more about the area. Everything was included in the price of the tour. Lunch (of your choice - not just preset options), a beer at the brewery, and admission to the nature center were all taken care of. There were also snacks and water available in the van. We got lucky with a small group (4 people including us!), but the van only holds 13 people - much better than the giant coach busses! I cannot recommend Salmon Berry, and Michelle in particular, highly enough

After you are done drinking the tap water, you have to return the bottles for them to recycle. Although they use a dishwasher, it seems a bit strange for me to share bottles with other people.

I booked the day before, the morning of the owner texted me to confirm that I would be picked up at my Airbnb, Billy texted me notifying me when he was on his way. He was kind, responsive, full of information, considerate, and willing to tailor the speed and details to the needs of the group. He truly made this trip enjoyable. Van ride to the glacier is about 100 miles, we stopped at a gas station about half way. We stopped twice for two photo opportunities, and then made our way to the glacier gift shop to sign waivers. Then drove down to the launch point of the trek. There are ample bathrooms down there. Billy did not accompany us on the glacier but that was okay, our guide at the glacier was super sweet and knowledgeable. I felt more than safe! You walk across a floating bridge to get your microspikes and then we spent about 2-2.5 hours trekking the glacier. You do spend most of the hike on the rocky surface, but we did a pretty steep climb on the blue ice to get to the top of our area, we drank glacier water (amazing) and then saw the base of the glacier which was stunning. Post trek we returned to the tent and met up with Billy, he had snacks waiting for us and then drove us up to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we made the drive back, and again Billy was willing to accommodate different drop off points.

Hotel pickup was super helpful since we didn't rent a vehicle. Lori made a bathroom/coffee stop 45 minutes into the drive. We stopped at a local coffee shop which was so thoughtful instead of stopping at your typical gas station. Afterwards we arrived at our destination for the dog sled tour. We went during the winter and it gets very cold when you are moving on the sled! We are from Arizona so we didn't have snow boots or other items on hand. Luckily snow shoes, heavy gloves, beanies, etc were provided for us to change into so that we stayed nice and warm on the sled. We were paired up and got the chance to sit down and ride in the front of the sled which was perfect for taking videos and pictures. And the other person had the chance to stand up at the back of the sled. We warmed up with a delicious lunch at a nearby lodge and made our way back to Anchorage. Overall, we had such a great day thanks to Lori and the dog mushers. It was truly a one of a kind experience! Highly recommend 907 Tours.

The trip was the perfect medicine to unplug me from an over-scheduled, over-programmed, and highly electronic career for a solid week. It pushed me mentally and physically, but never did I feel unsafe. I returned to work in a better frame of mind and with my whole body in a state of "a good kind of sore". Hats off to Don, and our guides (Sandra and Roz) who really made the stay wonderful. And, I never expected to be complimenting the camp food, but it was AWESOME!!! Sandra's breakfast burrito could be on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! We decided to book the Matanuska Getaway, which is only a 3 day trip because we figured we would want to go explore other parts of Alaska on our own. We had such a blast with Exposure, we wish we had booked a longer stay with them. The owner Don, was so helpful throughout the entire booking process, and recommended places to see and stay during our time after Exposure. The views of the glacier, the wild life, the planned tours and our amazing guides, all surpassed our expectations. They were awesome! Our guides were professional, knowledgable, friendly and we felt like close friends by the end of the trip. They were able to adjust our experience based on our skill and physical ability levels, which added more excitement to our trip. Our safety was paramount at all times and we had full confidence in their abilities to guide our adventure. Moreover, the food at the camp was great! We were expecting beans and weenies and other cliche camping food, but what we got was some great Alaskan cooking: Fresh Salmon, BBQ chicken, homemade breads and granola, among other things. In addition, while there was a lot of stuff to cover on our daily agenda, there was also a lot of time to relax and unwind. It was the only vacation where I didn't think about work, unless someone asked me about my job. Normally, when we go somewhere we still have home somewhere on the mind, but not here. Finally, this experience didn't seem touristy. After we finished our trip with Exposure, we spent a few days in other parts of Alaska, and the tours we did just weren't the same.
