    bibimbap

This is bar none the best Korean restaurant in England we've tried in the 2.5 years we have lived here. For starters the two guys serving and in charge also Korean. There are plenty on the menu aside from the usual Korean barbeque. He patiently explained them to us since we don't typically venture off beyond BBQ and Bibimbap(hot pot). We ordered the pork Bibimbap, the equivalent of the pork bbq that was cooked for us on a LeCreuset skillet, Kimchi fried rice, and a Kimchi stew. If you like Bibimbap you definitely have to try it here as they use proper hot pot to keep the whole food hit and give you that caked on feel of the rice. Very satisfying! The pork dish was every bit as good as the best bbq we've had. They use a bit of thinly sliced Zucchini as well as some red and orange bellpeppers which takes the flavour to a new level (for the record I hardly see red and orange bellpeppers in Asian dishes because they are so much more expensive than the regular green ones, but adds more flavour to your food. ) The service was fast and friendly as well. The ambiance was great (modern decor with a hint of classic layout, JPop laying at medium volume in the background). Definitely a 5 star dining experience. Will come again if we are in the Birmingham area.

Oppa can we order more?.... That's what I said when I came here with the Boyfriend lol. Few years ago I was so excited to finally try Korean food in Birmingham, and until recently I hadn't been back since they had a shop expansion. Being in the restaurant was so lovely, as the cute décor reminds me of my time spent in Seoul, the food is authentic and cooked to perfection, especially when it is served on kawaii kitty plates (OMB where can I buy these) I went for the unlimited refill of green. We ordered a range of dishes, Japchae and Bimbimbap is 2 of my fave korea dishes. I chose marinated pork, full of flavour I also learnt that it had been marinated for 24Hours to achieve the taste. For another authentic way to eat you can also order a range of marinated meats to cook on the Korean BBQ stoves. The service is fast , staff are polite and pleasant, great vibes here too. If only they played k-pop I think that would be awesome Also if you pay in cash you get 10% off win win. Have a good day everyone, thanks a bunch for reading

I went to this Korean restaurant two times. Both times I ordered different things both include chicken. Once I ordered a Korean curry and the other time I ordered spicy Korean chicken. The main dishes are okay. I noticed the dishes are basically the same but with different sauces. Their chicken dumpling are worth trying. Also their kimchi is top notch! I would go there again! Btw I forgot to add that u get 10% off if you pay by cash.

My first experience of Korean food. I am really glad I tried it but I wasn't blown away by my meal. The menu gives so many options, which is great but I found my dish not to my taste. I did however fall in love with my cinnamon drink.

Extremely good!! I'm crazy about that dish which is rice with pork( can't remember the name). Tasty!!!!

Polite service and very helpful staff when Confused about the menu the food was very delicious and very beautifully made loved the atmosphere and the flavours in the food and I enjoyed korean food in a long time :)

Yummy menu with lots of choice

Open kitchen, quick service and tasty food. I've never had Korean so not sure how authentic it is, but I really enjoyed what I had! There's lots of variety and enough dishes to go splitsies with someone else. If you pay by cash you get 10% off- result!

    Hot stuff!

This is not proper Korean food! Kimchi tasted like detergent. Service was super slow. Rice and pancake were ok though.

food was good , however service was abysmal. door endlessly opening and closing with delivery…read morescooter riders. staff were more worried about endless orders for them then actually serving dine in guests. our table cooker was on a timer and turned off so we couldn't even cook half our food. plates and empty dishes were not cleared away after almost begging staff to remove them so we could have our cake. they don't accept card payments. cash only or a bank transfer. what a horrible , dreadful experience

The quality of food here is excellent and they're kimchi is the best I've ever had in terms of UK Korean restaurants, the portions are big and the prices are cheap; mains are around £8-9, starters are around £5 each. The service is basic at best, the staff are efficient but not too attentive. They also do not accept card so it's cash only, which is a downside. I loved the seafood bibimbap and spicy tofu jigae, both tasted divine. Overall high quality flavorful and authentic Korean food, cheap prices, generous portions but average service.

Came here as a party of 4 and luckily had made a reservation so got a table by the window…read more For drinks got the elderflower lemonade with no ice which was a mistake as it was sickly sweet. I ended up adding fair amounts water to soften the sugary taste down a bit. However encountered better luck with the choice of our food as both starters just blew away everyone on our table. We decided to get both of the Sharing Boards and oh gosh, brilliant decision as the food was excellent! 1) Bao Bun Board: just super delicious. I liked the crispy hoisin duck more than the BBQ pulled pork, and also liked the self service aspect of this (you had to make your own Bao bun). Really appreciated that they served generous amounts of the stuffing elements for the bun and all 4 items just complemented each other. 2) Age Board: the blackened chicken and tempura cauliflower bites were amazing! As were the accompanying sauces. The duck spring rolls were okay, but definitely for our group the chicken & cauliflower won when it came to tastiness. The cauliflower bites especially just super crisp while the chicken was so moist and with just super delicious spices! We should have stopped there and ordered dessert instead next, but we didn't realize so had also ordered mains! I got the Shio Ramen; other members of our group got the Bibimbap with Shrimp; Kung Pao Chicken; and Chow Mein. Btw, if you are worried that the menu selection seems all over the place when it comes to Asian food with Japanese, Korean, Sichuan Chinese & Hong Kong being represented with the menu choices our group made, I want to reassure anyone reading this review, that the food is tightly focused and the restaurant is Pan-Asian rather than Fusion Asian cuisine, so it all tastes fairly authentic. I had a taste of the Bibimbap and it was deliciousness! I think I might have enjoyed my Shio Ramen more if I wasn't already massively full from the Entree's. However if I return back to the restaurant, I won't get this ramen menu item again - I wanted a wee bit more vegetables plus the broth was a bit too bland for my taste. I put in copious amounts of dark soy spice and chili oil to spice it up. I also don't think the taste of the semi-cured chashu pork belly as the protein in the ramen was all that great. Don't get me wrong, the pork tasted delicious, but I wanted more of the fat to be present and mix with the ramen broth and instead it was more smoky taste elements. Overall however, service was great and as mentioned previously, those two starters hit it out of the park. I'd definitely return and get those two tasting boards again! Yelp 172/ 2019
