Boy did they pick the perfect place to ditch the fatigue and melancholy! I love Thai food, but there are limited options in Denver. This restaurant was something completely new! I was lucky to have my colleague order for all 3 of us (the portions are meant to be small bites to encourage sharing as well as sampling more of the menu). Nothing disappointed. It was all cooked exceptionally well. The true test was the Pad Thai. The noodles were silky and cooked just right to avoid clumping together. The curry dishes were the ideal combination of lots of meat, some vegetables and just enough sauce to pour over rice but not so much that it feels like it's going to waste. We also enjoyed duck spring rolls, something they referred to as prawn biscuits (fantastic and totally new to me), and a spicy marinated beef dish. Service was also friendly and after dinner we walked about a block down the street to a nice little pub to finish the evening. Perfect first evening in the UK!

Yes, you read that right - the Thai Boathouse in Stratford *England* is where I was served the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Walking up the stairs is like walking into a different country; lush tropical plants hang from the ceiling and drape over carved wooden panels and Thai statuary. It's amazing that this restaurant is located within a Tudor style boathouse! The views overlooking the avon are stunning and a wonderful way to spend a meal. The Thai Boathouse could try to rely on their location and decor alone for business, but they do not allow their meals to fall by the wayside. Meticulous presentation, beautifully crafted food and friendly service raise any meal here to a full experience. I look forward to my next visit to England so I can eat at the Thai Boathouse again. The restaurant is located on Henley high street and is close by to pubs which is ideal for a pre dinner drink. The restaurant is small and cosy with several rooms and is authentically decorated. The menu is mouth watering and after deliberating for a while I opted for the duck spring rolls and soy sauce. A great start to the evening meal. Next up was Thai Prawn curry with Jasmine rice and I hardly muttered a word to my partner other than mouthing ummmm's and 'tasty'! All of the dishes were presented beautifully with flowers carved out of vegetables. The service was top notch, with the waiters and waitresses being attentive and friendly. I went with 10 people last week on a work night out, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The food is freshly cooked with lots of healthy ingredients and the presentation is lovely. I went in on a Saturday lunchtime and found the service very efficient without feeling rushed. It was surprisingly quiet, so we forgot about the world around and were able to concentrate on the delicious food. The dishes are in the range of about £3.50 - £5.50 each and they're usually split into 2-3 bits, so can be shared if necessary. I recommend getting bread as well - it's great for soaking up sauces and is nice, soft ciabatta style with tomato sauce to dip it in. Particularly recommended: - deep-fried chicken soaked in garlic - not at all greasy and very tasty - potato with layers of goats cheese, ham and tomato - prawns with scrambled egg and asparagus (much, much taster than it sounds!) The sangria comes with a good amount of fruit in it and at £3 a glass is cheap and plenty enough to last a meal (if you can resist another one, anyway!). All in all a really nice place if you're into tapas and a great introduction if you've never tried it.
