Very disappointed with my first experience at this nail salon. I had a full set acrylic nails and a pedicure with shellac polish on both. They charge $20 for shellac polish, FYI. I asked for my nail length to be a little above the tip of my finger and didn't get that. A few of my toe nails aren't strait. I payed $105 for everything. read more

I have way too much dry skin left on my feet. I'm not sure how this happened because when I touched them I didn't feel this but after I got out the shower is when I noticed it. Called ahead of time to ask if they had time for what I wanted. Didn't want them to rush, they excitedly said yes. Unfortunately continued to hastily do everything. One lady dropped black powder on my pink velvet shoes. She picked up the container and didn't even alert me of it, I only found out when I was putting my shoes back on. They scraped my skin bad when mechanically filing down my acrylics. The lady doing my toe nails sad they were dry so I put my socks on only to take them off at home and find out some of the paint was messed up. Last but definitely not least they overcharged for nails I get on a regular basis, maybe they were hoping I wouldn't notice. Sorely disappointed. I would never recommend coming here. read more

I'd like to start by saying I'm not a very outspoken individual, and I'm pretty shy. However, I would feel horrible if what happened to me, happened to someone else. My sister and I came today to get our nails done, she highly recommended Toplite and has been many times before and I've always loved her nails. We both got NexGen with tips and shaping. But this time was terrible. The lady who did my nails made my fingers bleed 4 separate times, none of my nails are the same length or shape, some are crooked, and they are really short. On top of the nails being really bad when we tried to pay their machine wasn't working properly, which wouldn't have been a big deal except for the fact the woman kept blaming us. We tried 4 different cards and Apple Pay trying to get anything to work with their machine. Another woman in the salon stood up and tried her card and it didn't work either. Then the lady we were trying to pay accused us of trying to get out of paying and told us to go get cash from the bank, she we went to leave to get cash and then she started raising her voice saying one of us had to stay and weren't allowed to leave. I ended up leaving and bringing back cash and we left. The woman was so rude, the experience was terrible, my fingers truly hurt, and my nails don't even look decent. Please don't make my mistake and come here. My sister refuses to come back and I have an appointment in the morning with my normal salon to try and fix or just redo my nails. read more

Went here for the first time tonight because they are the only spot in McKinney that stays open until 8. All other places close at 7 and 730 which was impossible for me to make tonight. So anyways as soon as we walked in the man greeted us and was very nice. We were seated immediately. I got a shellac French with pink tips and my friend got pink and white nails put on. I can't remember the ladys name that did mine I wanna say it was robin maybe. Anywho she did the best job and added some bling as well, she was also super friendly!!! This used to be a good salon, but apparently the owner took his best staff to his new salon in Frisco. I went several weeks ago and had the worst pedicure I have ever had. I do better than this woman did. When I called back to complain the next day, they gave me an appointment with Rosa, who was very good. After trying to call for an appointment for about two and a half hours today, someone actually answered. I told her I wanted to make an appointment with Rosa for a pedicure, and she said it was late ???(2:30), but I could come over. I drive there to be toled Rosa will be gone until next week. My impression is they might as well shut the Mckinney location down unless they can find people who can actually do the work and answer the phone. read more

I'm from California, I found this place on google, I went on yelp to read the reviews and I was like ok, I'll give it a try. So I paid $35 for a gel manicure and $27 for a pedicure. A few days went by and one of my nails started to crack. Barely a week with this gel manicure and it's already started chipping. My pedicure isn't the greatest looking either. For the money that they're charging, I expected a lasting manicure. Back home my manicures last more than two weeks, so for only a week with this manicure it's pretty disappointing. My nail to my thumb came off with the gel. Perhaps it's the quality of the nails polish or the gel that they use. All I know is that for $35, I would expect for it to last more than a week. I had booked an appointment for 3pm got there about 15 minutes early, I received a confirmation text in regards to my appointment and when I walked in they didn't have me in their system. Either way I waited for about 30 minutes before they started working on me, so I'm not sure what's the point of having an appointment if they don't tend to you right away. I was there for 2 hours and all I had done was a mani&pedi. I'm only giving them two stars to the quality of their nail polish/gel. I had to ask him several times to do things that should just come with the pedicure.. which is awkward. I requested the peppermint... & didn't get the peppermint pedicure. I've came to this place twice, the first time my friend and I got there at 645 when they closed at 8 we were told it would be soon and I really needed to get my nails done so we waited and didn't get attended till close to almost 8 so I asked 3 times for a deluxe pedicure and was ignored and got the basic pedicure so I just let it be and got nexgen for my hands it took 3 different workers to do them as they all awkwardy looked at me and who ever was working like my hands were sooo bad (which they are not they were normal just trying to get them done ) so I even asked is everything ok? Nervously and was ignored once again , towards getting almost done we finally got asked if we wanted drinks , my nails were all lifted in the end of them causing my hair to get caught on them as if I needed them to be done and they were rushing the workers and I could tell they weren't putting much effort in perfection ... So I said maybe it's because we were attended late we got crappy service.... so i chose to give it another shot 3 weeks after going there just got get the same service and this time jimmy took over he didn't look very pleased towards me as I was just sitting there getting my nails done no convo no nothing so I figured they should be better specially if he did them ... nope 3 days later my hair is getting caught in again and I wasn't messing with water to maybe be the cause just simply the job wasn't done right , I don't plan on returning. read more

The staff are really friendly and the salon is clean. I got a classic pedicure and a gel manicure. The lady who did my pedicure did an awesome job and took time to make sure everything was right. The lady who did my gel manicure (while I was getting a pedicure) seemed super rushed and like she didnt want to be there. The sides of my nails weren't painted and 3 days after my manicure the polish on 4 out of 10 nails has peeled off completely and the others are popping up. Took them 3 hours to do my nails, they would not do what I wanted with gel over acrylics and would only do powder dip which I hate, charged me extra for time when they said it would take 45 min. I love this place! The girls are really nice and remember you each time. Their Spa Pedicure has a 10 minute hot rock massage that makes you find the cash each month (week :P ) to go in for this indulgence. The staff was friendly. Two was very sweet and made an extra effort to make sure I had the color I wanted. The gentleman that was there seemed rushed and bored with my questions; I wanted to know the difference between "dip", "gel", and acrylic. I felt rushed to make a choice even though there were no other customers waiting and hours before the store closed. I decide on the gel since I have had them many times and love the shiny, cleanness of them. I have at the salon for well over two hours. My light pink nails have bumps, gaps and a crack after only two days. The deluxe pedicure is not as deluxe as I am used to from other salons, more of a basic treatment. The facilities are clean but the surrounds are dark and could use an update. They take cards, like most places do, but they do not take tips from cards. I felt guilty not leaving a tip when I left, but after closer inspection of my nails I am glad I didn't pay more. I will not be returning. read more

Actually found a place that had a clean interior and sanitized tools. Not a new file but better than I've had anywhere else. Nice and friendly staff. Great job and attention to detail. I have been to numerous shops and it's amazing the number that don't sanitize their tools. Everyone has been nice and done a good job. I have been twice. The cash for tipping is a bit of a pain and I am sure it has kept some from getting tips they deserve. But all things considered I plan to make this my regular stop. read more

Travelled from CA to TX for BFF's wedding and did the pre-nupt mani/pedi. I'd get on a plane and go back weekly if time and money weren't an issue. Eight days later, chip free. Zero. None. No chips. Looks like I just had nails done. No, not gel. A regular ol manicure. Hot stone massage great, attention to details good (I'm a manicure snob, sorry...) and seriously, 8 days later, NO chipping, and I use my hands and don't always wear gloves doing dishes.
