This is a 18 month old boiler. in researching the maintenance kit from Weil Mclain for the boiler is about 150 dollars. I was quoted 1838 dollars for the maintenance When looking at the facts on time and material I find the following: Maintenance Kit Cost: Genuine Weil-McLain AquaBalance Annual Maintenance Kits (typically containing gaskets, an ignitor, and a flame sensor) are widely available online for $147.00 to $257.00. Labor Time: The manufacturer advises that a complete preventative maintenance procedure should take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Even if charging 200 dollars and hour and a premium kit price ($250), a fair total would be approximately $650 to $750. The quote of $1,838 is nearly triple the high-end estimate. Precharging 125 dollar up front , plus fees and taxes bringing it to over 135 dollars and stating it is required and never having even recieved what the possible fees they charges are is unscrupulous when they are charging over 3X the national average, and when i called for a refund on the estimate stating this i was outright refused. If i could give ZERO stars i would!!

Al called me back & just by describing the work I needed gave me a quote on the phone but said he would send out one of his guys to asses the job in order to get a set price. Francisco came the next day & verified what needed to be done & gave me a quote but said Al would contact me and finalize the job estimate. I got my quote via email and I decided it was the fairest price I received so I went ahead and contracted them to do the work. Once we settled on a day that would work for my schedule, Al told me when his crew would be expected to arrive & around how long is should take for the entire job to be finished. Mike & Tony were on time, came in & reviewed with me the work they needed to do. They were thorough, very efficient & clean with their work. I appreciated their attention to detail & patience with answering any questions I had about the work being done. They finished on time just like Al had estimated. His team exceeded my expectations! They needed to break through two wall areas that had tiles on them (Since I had the extra tiles saved from when that work was done) Mike said he would be back to replace the tiles he needed to break through. Which I truly respect his dedication to his work and customer satisfaction. Mike & Tony are true professionals! Which is hard to find these days. I will be calling on Al Haag & Son for my yearly maintenance. As well as any of my plumbing & heating needs. I got what I needed done before it got too cold. For my experience with Al Haag & Son Plumbing, I will recommend this company to all my friends & family. Thanks for the great work! Juan Lemus
