I had called other electrician companies and all their emergency service appointments were all booked up. Calling Vaccarella Electric Services should have been my first call. Roberto picked up and wanted to solve the issue immediately over the phone. My initial diagnosis was completely off and in less than 3 minutes Roberto was able to determine the issue based on what I told him and answering his questions of what I saw. He told me to head outside and look at the piping connected to the meter. When I did, the meter was throwing up, "888888." That confirmed to me Roberto's diagnosis. Our water heater wasn't getting enough power, and we noticed an active crackling sound coming from the external disconnect box. Gazmir arrived promptly and immediately identified the root causes: a melted switch, an overcrowded metal box that was too small for the heavy wiring, and a completely ungrounded setup. He expanded the box to give the wires the proper breathing room, safely grounded the unit, and installed a brand-new heavy-duty switch. Our hot water is back on and working perfectly, and more importantly, our home is safe.
