Chris and Kevin installed a two room mini split ac/heating system in my Brooklyn landmarked house and I couldn't be happier with the outstanding job they did!! They did it in one day and rushed to accommodate me as I was leaving town the next day and needed it ready for guests. They did a fantastic job of dressing all the cables and it looks clean, uncluttered and simply like a water drainage duct, so it fits perfectly in with the house's appearance and looks terrific. And they were the lowest price of the several contractors I got estimates from. Fantastic service, the system works like a charm, attention to detail and final appearance and the best price- you could not ask for anything more!! I will call them for the next two rooms mini split addition and recommend them without reservation to anyone needing mini split or any hvac work done. I was considering changing my boiler for a new one as I wasn't getting adequate heat in the bedrooms and thought maybe the boiler was crapping out due to its advanced age. I called Mastersmind HVAC and Chris swung by the following day and recommended that they run a diagnostic on my existing boiler to determine what was causing the problem and further to determine if the boiler could be salvaged. He and his partner showed up and wore shoe covers when they entered my home; they performed a thorough cleaning of the boiler and were able to troubleshoot the issue. Instead of selling me on replacing my boiler like other companies have tried to do, Chris recommended a cheaper fix as he concluded that my boiler had another 10-15 years of life. I can't say enough good things about the service I received from MastersMind. My central AC went down yesterday, Wednesday 9/5 in 90+ degree heat, and this afternoon (Thursday,9/6), the problem was solved. The owner, Chris Cosentino, assessed the situation personally, diagnosed the problem, took the time to explain to me exactly what the problem was, how it related to how the AC unit worked, and what needed to be done. He even advised me on how to prevent the problem from occurring again. Chris and team recognized the urgency of the situation, and the concern I had for the comfort of my three kids, and made my job a priority, for which I will be eternally grateful. While I personally hope to never need MastersMind's services again, I can, with great confidence, recommend them to anyone with an HVAC need. read more

I must agree with the other reviews. I rarely give 5-stars, but Chris really is the best! He is efficient, upfront and communicates well to let you know what your options are. I called him to install an HVAC system for my place. I had ordered the wrong machines, not only did Chris get in touch with someone who could provide me a STEAL, it ended up being cheaper than the original amount I paid! Before coming he called to let me know he was on his way, showed up right on time, got right to work, did a GREAT job and even tightened/cleaned up a few things he didn't have to to help prevent another problem. That kind of honesty and pride in work is rare, but extremely appreciated, I hope he stays in business a long time. I'll be a life-time customer. read more

Chris, Selly & Stephen are fantastic. From the initial consult to the final work, these guys were a pleasure. I had a Mitsubishi provider give a quote before Chris & he assessed our place with an idea of how he could best fit the products he had to sell. Chris viewed our home and gave us product and installation options and voiced his opinion on what he would do if it was his home and why. I'm not an hvac expert, so Chris's thoughts about the pros and cons of different types of installations and placements were really helpful to hear and he was able to work within our budget. Chris is an outstanding HVAC professional and an even bigger human. I called him out of the blue with an emergency on a cold Sunday afternoon in my Brooklyn Home and he showed up a few hours later and even brought shoe-sleeves to not track in any unwanted germs in my home. Funny how that's a house rule for me and he did it without me having to mention anything. Before Chris, 3 other "professionals" showed up at my home and could not rectify the issue. Within 5 minutes Chris not only fixed the problem, but he updated my system and wrote me a "to-do" list to keep my system running at optimal potential. I recently purchased a Panasonic Mini Split system and had the most difficult time finding someone who would install it. Luckily, I was put in contact with Chris. From our first conversation, he was friendly, thorough, professional, and obviously very knowledgeable. This is a really great company. Their service is wonderful. Chris called me right away about an AC problem we were having. He was very professional and asked all the right questions over the phone. He sent someone out to our place right away. Alexi was great. Very nice and professional and really took his time figuring out the problem. He even showed me the HVAC unit and how it worked. When they had to come a second time because the AC still wasn't working, they were very nice about it and Alexi figured out the problem. Chris and his team are really a class act. Professional, honest and extremely dedicated to finishing the job to perfection. I cannot say enough great things. Chris was fantastic. Our heater stopped working a couple of days ago. I called Chris and he helped troubleshoot over the phone. He did not end up having to come to the apartment to look at the heater. Saved us at least 100-200 dollars, which is what most people would have charged just to come look at the unit. It's rare that you find a company that actually wants to help you, even if it means sacrificing the fee for a house call. I'd recommend Chris without any hesitation. read more

I wish I could give Chris and Masters Mind HVAC more than a 5 star rating. My heat went our over the coldest weekend of the year. My family woke up to a 53 degree apartment. I contacted Chris who drove down on a Sunday from his vacation upstate to make sure the heat was fixed. Service and expertise like this is very rate in today's world. Chris and his guys got us out of a couple of tight spots in the last year! They got the mini splits back up and running super quickly in the coldest of times this January, saving our tenant from freezing. They also came in and fixed a poorly installed system last summer. Plus, they are meticulous about their work. We trust them completely and will be having them back to install more units as soon as we can. read more

Chris and his team were fantastic -- they replaced a unit last year after another AC repair guy left in the middle of a botched job and stopped responding. So they fixed that guy's work, set up the unit, and came back for a free tuneup ten months later when we were within the year warranty.
