I am a manager trying to plan an event for my end of year party. I went to top golf's website. Submitted my interest in having top golf host my event. I was expecting an event coordinator to reach out and for us to discuss menu options, dates, costs, etc. INSTEAD. Matthew Chiz sent me an invoice and a contract saying I need to leave a deposit in the amount of $1685.33 within a certain amount of days. Menu was finalized, alcohol drink tickets on the invoice(it's a work event so no that wasn't needed) ....... Ummmmm Matthew didn't even bother to speak to me before he decided what my menu was. And sent me an invoice. I emailed back saying I was trying to get into contact with someone who can help me coordinate/plan the event. He simply reply just sending your pricing... no guy. You sent me a finalized invoice for an event when we haven't even spoken. I then asked if I need to leave a deposit for him to even speak to me. Which he simply then replied giving me the menu guide. Overall we had a good time, there are lots of games that make it fun for everyone especially for anyone who hasn't swung a club before. I was surprised some of their cocktails were good and the appetizers we ordered weren't too bad either. The macaroni bites were a hit. Only small "issue" (not too big of a deal) was that they couldn't store my friends cake in their fridge unless it was an ice cream cake. Went here with a buddy on a Sunday morning. Wasn't busy, we had drinks, light brunch food items, and of course played some games. It was our first time at a Top Golf, so now I understand why many are starting to pop up. It really is fun even with no golf experience. I had not played a lot of golf for many years, so I knew I'd be rusty. But the games and scoring is very forgiving even if you hit the top of the ball and it doesn't come off the tee the way you intend. Yes, it is expensive, as expected because golf is expensive in general, but I would definitely go back. Will I get back on the course like I used to? Fun golf experience! Attended my nephew's birthday celebration with a party of 14 and 2 bay reservations. The server was friendly and informative. Waters were brought out right away which was appreciated as it was a very hot day. We ordered several appetizers such as mac n cheese balls, wings, potstickers and fries. We had a two-hour birthday event at Topgolf Montebello, and while it was a lot of fun, I'd recommend booking a longer event if you can. Two hours flies by way too quickly at Topgolf! One thing to keep in mind is that if you're reserving bays for an event, you're required to include a food component, which can make things pricey. That said, the food was surprisingly better than I expected--definitely not just your typical event food. The staff was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we had drinks or anything else we needed. However, we went on a super hot day, and the heat was brutal. I wish they had better fans because everyone was sweating, which put a bit of a damper on the experience. Overall, Topgolf Montebello is a great spot for a fun celebration, just be prepared for the costs and hope for cooler weather! read more

The event was held for my autistic son, who also has lupus. Seeing the excitement on his face and how much he was looking forward to his birthday celebration was truly priceless. I wanted nothing more than for him to have a wonderful night. However, I had to compose myself throughout the evening because the experience with the staff and manager was extremely disappointing. Every waiter who attended our group was rude and unfriendly, which made the night very difficult to get through. Despite this, I did everything I could to make the event memorable for my son, because he is what matters most. It wasn't until I mentioned Brian Orozco -- who organized my son's event -- that the staff's attitude changed, but by that point there were only about 30 minutes left of the party. Additionally, even though we arrived on time, my group and I were kept waiting for 30 minutes before being seated. Please take this feedback into consideration, and I strongly encourage you to speak with your staff about being more welcoming and professional. Thank you. read more

So unfortunate to start my experience here with a bad customer service interaction. My party had a reservation at 9:15pm and when we tried to call and move it back by 1 hour (when they had plenty of spots available) they said they couldn't help us and that we would have to make a new reservation and lose the deposit on our current reservation. We spoke to the manager (Superjay) and he said there was nothing they could do for us. I find that incredibly hard to believe. He was stone faced and made no attempt to interact with us. Very disappointed in this experience. As a Montebello native I was hoping to like this spot and visit frequently, but don't think I can visit again if this is the type of customer experience TopGolf provides to its guests. I recently visited Topgolf, the place was clean and very few guests. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite arriving at 12 pm for brunch, they had already run out of sprite, cranberry juice and the dessert we were looking forward to, which was a major letdown. After our food and golf session, we were exhausted and just wanted to relax. We were sitting for (not exaggeration) 3 minutes to take pictures. However, our enjoyment was cut short when the waitress informed us that another reservation was coming in and we needed to leave immediately. It was 2pm the place was practically empty... you cannot reserve a specific bay, it's assigned to you but she made it seem like our EXACT bay was reserved and the party was coming in. This rushed us out of our experience and left a sour note and embarrassment on what should have been a fun outing. I hope you guys address these issues for future guests. read more

My family and I visited TooGold for Fathers Day. We all ordered our food around the same time. Everyone's food came out in a timely manner but my food never came out. I asked the bartender/waitress when my food would be out but she advised she sent it through the allergy section. I'm vegan but told her I'm not allergic. I waited another 30 minutes or so before asking again. By this time, my family had all already finished their food. I checked my receipt and saw that I ordered at 11:24am. I didnt get my food until 1:15pm. The manager did come out and advise he would void my payment for the food since it took so long to receive. read more

I had just finished a Waterloo (sparkling water), tossed it in the trash, and he tried to stop me from coming in, demanding "young lady, what were you drinking?" Like seriously? Water?? This is a brand new Top Golf location. There is a big parking lot with a lot of clean air vehicle parking. There are also on site charging stations that allow customers to charge their car while playing golf. The first floor is lobby with reception, bar, and shops. Staff are friendly and helpful. My reservation is on the second floor. Elevator or stairs are available. Staff were constantly checking with us to see if we need assistant to set up our game. We also ordered food and drinks for happy hour. Food (typical bar food) was decent, and not great. Drinks were ok too. The only reason I took away a star was because it was pricy. We went to have a chill moment after work. First off we reserved and we got a lower level we went to ask if they had any place available on the top floors and they said they didn't. They should probably make it a preference choice option when reserving. The person helping us spoke really fast when telling us rules. When it came to pay the bill he told us you only have ten minutes left and stood by the table while we paid until we gave him the check. I felt hurried by him the entire time. It's a good experience and the food was good. The vents make the food get cold fast. I think unless your spending on liquor your not getting a good experience by either the waiters or the faculty. I have been to top golf a couple times before and the service was okay, but when i went again tonight, our server, Jason, really went out of his way to give us great service. He sang us happy birthday and I did not even know that they did that. I could tell he put a lot of energy into it as well! Overall, he was on too of everything and kept checking if we were doing well throughout the session. He also let us know when he was going in break, introducing us to the breaker, so we would know who we needed to talk to if needed. SCAM ALERT On Thursday (3/6/25) night around 11pm I arrived to top golf with couple friends and got to our spot (215) and ordered food and alcohol. Order Don juilo reposado and first round was the reposado color and the second round was a clear color like it was Blanco told the server and she said it's Don juilo reposado so we ignored it and drank it and it was definitely not reposado. So we just played golf and ate and when we asked for the bill the bill was roughly $284 so gave her $300 and left tip on table. We sat around finishing our food and I asked another server for our receipt and he came back with the bill being $204 and I asked that server how come our bill is $204 I just saw it being $284 and my friends saw the same thing and went back and forth and she came back out giving me $100 and said sorry... Friday night I went to Top Golf with some friends, believe it or not it was our first time and wanted to see what the hype was about. We requested the third floor and yes there's elevators if you don't feel like walking the stairs. As we waited for our host we were greeted by the Manager Sandy, we had a few questions and she was very polite and helpful. She even recommended the Cheesy Macaroni Bites and Asian Sesame Wings boy oh boy she did not disappoint, they were delicious. So, I really wanted to have a wonderful experience at this location, but sadly it didn't hit the mark. One, just from the get go, our 21 year old (newly 21 celebrating her 21st) called to reserve a bay and asked all kinds of questions regarding the bay and minimums and guests. Etc....... When we get there she visits the front desk for check in and again asks some questions and is simply told to wait in the bar area on the 3rd floor and wait to be called. We get to the bar area and it's a shit show to say the least. The bartenders and staff were WONDERFUL! super helpful and as accommodating as they could possibly be. But then we get called to out bay. And when though we we're told the bay could accommodate our 10 guests only 8 could play. A few of us weren't going to play at all but sit with out group and order food and drinks for her 21st bday. Instead security said it didn't matter how many were really playing 2 of us had to go sit in the bar area away from our party. I think that was the most ridiculous thing a business could do. One is we would buy far more food and alcohol if we were able to simply sit with our group. Second had they watched, they would have seen only like 6 really played. The bar area has no wait staff, so we have to order from the bar. Which got packed. The overall experience sucked big time and as a group consensus on how Top Golf handled her 21st bday makes it an easy decision to not recommend this place or return. Again the bar area staff was great! (except for the "security" for the place that had no common business sense. WE WERE PARENTS TRYING TO SIT WITH OUR KIDS. ) SAVE YOUR MONEY! My first experience at this new location was awesome! I made a reservation online prior to our arrival. The bay was ready to go once we checked in. Staff were so friendly directing us to our bay located on the third floor. We were ready to start and Mike came to greet us as our server. Very professional and helped us with options as far for food and drinks. We ordered the carafe of sangria. Wasn't too sweet just perfect and strong the way we like it. For food we had the farmhouse flatbread which consisted of cauliflower crust, cheese, mushrooms, greens, and tomatoes. Very tasty! Pricing wasn't too bad either.
