I visited top golf for the first time on 9/25 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Upon arrival, we were given the wrong floor, and the worst stall on the floor. We were given the very first stall on the far right, which gives you the worst view of the entire field. I went back downstairs to let the employee know that I had requested the first floor to which she responded by apologizing and letting us know that they would be cleaning up a stall shortly and letting us know when it was ready. She also informed me that we would be given our full 2 hours without an issue. About 10-15 minutes later, she let us know that the stall was ready. We went to the stall only to find that it was a mess. The table still had all of the food and drinks from the previous party and had clearly not been cleaned up. At this point, I was extremely frustrated. Not only is it my first experience at top golf so I had high expectations, but we were also celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. I went back to the front desk and let her know that while I understand it's not her fault, I was angry. I arrive to be given the wrong stall and the worst stall at that, be told I'm getting the correct one prepped and ready, only to find that it was literally not even ready for us. I asked her to get someone to clean it up ASAP because they've dropped the ball and it's also my boyfriend's birthday and this is not the experience we were hoping for or expecting. She apologized and followed me back to the stall along with who I would assume was the manager. To be honest, I would've expected some kind of discount for all of the mishap. A free drink? Appetizer? Something. We were kicked out about 10 minutes before our time ended because they were closing the first floor. As far as I know, that is quite literally not my problem. You guys messed up by giving us the wrong floor and having us wait even longer for the correct one, only to kick us out because you're closing the first floor? That doesn't make sense to me. Why should we going to uproot our entire party to a completely different floor for 10 minutes because of YOUR mishap? Having experience in customer service, I would've allowed the reservation to FINISH OFF their measly 10 minutes considering it wasn't their fault, and would've offered a discount. Talk about disappointing and frustrating. All on a birthday, mind you. read more

Customer service is completely lacking. I won't be returning to this location. Most unwelcoming experience for our large group with 4 bays. I caught the staff Maxxie - blonde young man and the older grey haired male manager complaining about our group stating "we don't have to accommodate you". They didn't want us there from the start even with our original booking. My boyfriend and I left the birthday gathering after hearing their remarks. I can appreciate not enjoying every experience at work but it's never ok to outwardly complain to the customers. El segundo and Ontario Top Golf have never treated us like this. read more

Honestly, this Topgolf Montabello should Be ashamed to call yourself a business. The first time I went to this place.. No Non-Alcoholic beer.. No big deal.. Got a soda, went on to have a decent time. (But not having a non alcoholic option in a busy environment, not too smart on the business end) Service was minimal but we didn't need much. Second time I went here, brought 6 people. Ordered 2 samplers, wings and drinks. Wings and drinks came out in about 20 minutes, samplers did not. We waited about 45 (an additional 25) minutes before asking. (Trying to be considerate of the server) They took another 15 minutes to come back with "I'm sorry but we ran out". Mind you, we've been waiting 45 minutes, been there already an hour, and we only have 2 hour limit. About 10 minutes later, a sampler goes out to the table next to us.. I ask our server "I thought you were out" and he says "they must have got more". HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA OK?! We then order dessert. 2 orders of the chocolate filled pastry bites.. Takes another 30 minutes. We're now having to race out the door. Still eating and having waited for our food the entire time. Was lied to, and neglected. Third time I TRIED to go. I make a 9:15am reservation. Something comes up, turns out I'll be about 20 minutes late. No big deal (or so I thought) I figure I'll call up, let them know I'm 100% coming and will still pay. And play out the rest of my time. Since it's already reserved. I get not 1, not 2, but 3 messages ALL BEFORE my check in time. At 9:00 am they send another text, "We haven't heard from you". I reply OK to let them know I'm coming. (Mind you, last night,l when making the reservation, 9:00 am was not available.) They immediately reply saying my bay is ready. It's 9:04 am. And I will given 15 minutes or my bay might be given away. I attempt to call, to change my reservation on the app, to do anything so I don't lose my time. But I can't get through. Top golf HAS THE WORST AUTOMATED SYSTEM! You can't talk to anyone. They give you suggestions that are irrelevant and then keep reminding you that you only have a 15 minute grace period. So I cancelled and won't ever be returning to that place. Bad service, bad management, and horrible customer service all the way around. Gave you 3 strikes and you used them up the first 3 times I came. It also took Topgolf 40 minutes to process my cancellation.. and they still continued to send me 4 more text messages... I'm assuming Topgolf is run by a bunch of lazy upper management that does minimal to nothing and then gets on at the lower tier staff. Because the general motion of the operation runs fine. People are checked in, they order food and drinks, the food and drinks come, eventually. But the training, the customer service and the lack of ordering appropriate amounts of food and beverages for an establishment that's been there for 2 years already. You need to hire new management to clean house and fix day to day operations. I'd be embarrassed if this was a store I was in charge of. And I will not be coming back to this location ever again. I'm sure the AI assistant and Automated help is an issue for all Topgolf stores. But The locations in Ontario and El segundo, although they have struggles as well, are 10X better the option when playing at a Topgolf. read more

A cool place if you like golf. You can get food, drinks and hit some balls all in one place. The ambiance is really cool. Lights. Colors. A bunch of clubs at each bay so you can use which ever you are comfortable with. The service could have been faster. But the servers were REALLY nice tho. Overall: will return read more

This was super fun! Definitely a great way to spend a birthday celebration. It's chill and relaxing. We swing by Costco to buy their top golf gift cards before coming here. Costco sale two $50 gift card for $79.99. We booked 90min and ordered some food and drinks. The food was surprisingly not bad. Mostly finger food but definitely enjoyable for this place. They have 3 floors and some station had sectional seating. Service was great. We will be back. read more

We had a blast, and the service was top notch, much improvement over the vegas location. Food service was excellent as well, every entree was done well, delivered hot. If you have a costco membership, I highly recommend you look into their gift card deals, you can save about 25% off the total bill, and the gift cards are good at all US top golf locations. Great alternative to bowling, Dave n busters, etc... 4.5 stars. read more

Topgolf - The spread - Golf Near Me - Montebello, California

I met some family members from Irvine since we were going to lunch after practicing and playing a few rounds of golf. Located off the 60 frwy just south off of Garfield. Parking is no issue, and charging stations provided by ChargePoint are complimentary for the first 3 hours. There is no need to bring any golf clubs with the exception of a glove since Top Golf provides everything you'll need. This was my guests first time visiting Top Golf, and this was my third time, but my first visit to this location. The hitting bays consist of three levels, and we came out on a Monday morning, so we didn't need to make any reservations. We opted for the $20.00 per person, which allows you to hit practice balls and play any games to 12:00 pm. We ended up playing for 2 hours. We ordered breakfast burritos, wings, and beverages. Service by the staff was attentive and friendly. Since it was my guest first time visiting Top Golf, we hit practice balls, played rounds of block party, and golfed a round at the Pebble Beach course. I recommend this Top Golf location for a family or friends' social gathering. read more

The new Topgolf here in Montebello was a great experience. I went to a last minute gathering with some friends and we had fun. The service was good upon ordering drinks and getting our requests meet. The evening was very exciting and social with all the parties partaking in the bays. read more

It was a fun afternoon with the family. We were celebrating a nephew's 14th birthday on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to order mini corn dogs and sliders along with drinks and even bring in our own cake from outside. The staff seemed severely overworked, under staffed, and overwhelmed. While we did want to enjoy our group and not be bothered by a server hovering over us. There was a lot of times when he wanted to order more drinks or get some extra plates or napkins or whatever, and there was no one to be found. We had to walk all the way inside practically to find someone that could help us and we are paying a lot for that space. As far as the golf is concerned, there are many different clubs to choose from. There are more than just the drivers, there are also different numbers of irons, a wedge, And their super driver which is supposed to make it easier to swing, and it was fun to use. All in all, it was a fun time. A cool activity to do to drink and catch up with friends. Facilities were clean. I would just say this service doesn't seem to match the amount of money you're paying to be there. They need to hire additional service staff, or pay them better or both. read more

Dominque C was my server and she had to be one of the rudest and condescending servers I have experienced in a while. Had a horrible experience with the security guard working the night of 10/14/25. My boyfriend and I were meeting up with our group who already reserved a bay inside. Let me preface, we're not from here, so we did not have a car and had to take an uber here. As we were walking inside, we were stopped by the security and were told that we were not allowed to bring in my EMPTY hydroflask. We realized that it was part of their policy -- no outside food or drink allowed. I guess we couldn't argue there, however once consistency and lack of empathy is thrown in your face, that's when it becomes an issue. We been to other Topgolf locations before and never had an issue with bringing in our reusable water bottles which is why I decided to bring mine this time. If it were that much of an issue, then upper management needs to do a better job in making sure ALL locations are implementing the same rules. Next, the security guard just lacked basic empathy for others since we told him that we had no car to walk back to and that we took an uber to get here.. we couldn't just easily walk back, drop the water bottle off back into our car and call it a day. We asked if there were any alternatives like lockers we can leave the bottle at and all he said was "nope. you can leave it there" and points AT THE GROUND in front of the door. Like what..? Not even an apology or any kind of reassurance that he would keep an eye on it for us or anything. Luckily, the workers inside were kind enough to hold it for us for the time being. I hope this doesn't get them in trouble but that small gesture really made a difference and made my time at this Topgolf way better. I didn't care that I couldn't bring it in, it was more so just the fact that I was worried about it being stolen in an area I live 7 hours away from. The reassurance of keeping it with the workers made my night so thank you. A FULL hydroflask I can understand, however we emptied the contents (which was just ice) right in front of the guard. Please take into consideration that some people may need access to specific water due to health reasons. Some basic human decency from the security guard would have gone a long way but unfortunately he lacks that. Invest in his training or fire him because he made us extremely uncomfortable and gave this Topgolf an uninviting atmosphere. read more

I love top golf it's fun and enjoying relaxing at your bay to catch a game. Don't expect the food to be amazing 10/10 no it's more like a 7.8/10 I've been here at least 15 times already fries are always lukewarm, burgers are solid, chicken sandwich can hit or miss mostly hits well, the apps are good especially the sliders and pretzels. The biggest let down was going during March madness i wanted to watch the game on their screen and no one was manning the beer or food section spent 10 minutes and realize they didn't care for the March madness and then went to BWW. I'm really hesitant to go for World Cup. I think they miss out on a lot of business since they leave the sports bar area empty forcing you to play but sometimes you just want to catch a game and food. I've noticed this section is only available during weekends and late night on weekdays. World Cup games start at 9am and 12 pmish hope they make it welcoming. I'll keep yall posted... read more

I have been to top golf a couple times before and the service was okay, but when i went again tonight, our server, Jason, really went out of his way to give us great service. He sang us happy birthday and I did not even know that they did that. I could tell he put a lot of energy into it as well! Overall, he was on too of everything and kept checking if we were doing well throughout the session. He also let us know when he was going in break, introducing us to the breaker, so we would know who we needed to talk to if needed. The doughnut holes were good too and Jason helped put the Dodger game on the TV. Great service so far. Thank you Jason for being helpful and going the extra mile! read more

When we asked for refills on the drinks the employee said we couldn't when the menu has in gray writing Refills Included on fountain drinks. We had gotten 4 Dr, Peppers. They also did not respect our reservation messages via the app honoring our service dog's specific needs for requesting a couch bag and not a table chair bay. The overall experience was poorly managed and was hesitant to service our service dog's needs. The ambience was fine but the overall experience was poorly managed. read more

First time visitor to celebrate a friend's birthday. This place was soooo awesome, so much fun and I can't wait to return. The music played here in a Saturday night is the same music you would hear at a nightclub which is very upbeat, high energy and fun. The place was PACKED which proves that this is a "thing" to do with friends, family and strangers alike. The place is HUGE, the employees were AMAZING and the entire vibe was positive and fun. Who knew that hitting the crap out of gold balls could be sooo much fun and a great stress reliever. The food were ordered was EXCELLENT!! I have always wanted to check out Topgolf, so I was pretty excited when they opened a location in 626. It's appropriately located next to the Montebello golf course with a large parking lot. I came here for a birthday and we had two lanes, which allowed 6 players per lane. When I first arrived, I was hoping to keep our cake in the fridge before the birthday boy arrived, but they refused unless it was an ice cream cake. Even though mine wasn't an ice cream cake, it was tiramisu so it was melting. What difference was it going to make if my cake was going to melt in this heat? Plus, the AC inside wasn't cool enough either. The golfing experience was fun though. As most of us are newbies, we played the Block Party game which made everyone feel like a winner. There was also an Angry Bird game too. Note that if you're a lefty like I am, you can ask for a left-handed set of golf clubs. I also had a few drinks at the bar. The Cookie Butter Old Fashioned ($17.25) was OK but small as I finished after a few sips. My friend did have the Strawberry Mule ($14.75), which was very refreshing though. Overall, fun event for big groups and parties. It can definitely get pricey with the games, food and drinks though. It's one of those places I'm glad I got to check out, but probably wouldn't frequent too often. read more

The reservation process was easy and straight forward through the app and our bay was ready to go as soon as we arrived so we didn't need to go to the front desk. There are a lot of games to choose from and we all had a great time. It can get a bit pricey so definitely advise to go with a group to share the cost. I've given Top Golf multiple opportunities to improve but unfortunately, they failed every single time. For context: I went a total of 4 times, each time I went, my totals were $150-$600 and one of them, was a reserved private party. Every time we went, service is HORRIBLE. Either the servers are overworked or lazy. No follow ups for refills, which ultimately comes down to value. Is it worth it for me to pay $4.79 for a soda and only drink it once when it's refillable? Especially since we're doing physical activity like golf, wouldn't you get thirsty too? Food items get discontinued yet items can go out of stock and no substitutions are allowed. Ok, I get the substitution aspect, but this business has been open for more than a year now, either they need a better distributor or more training in ordering appropriately. I constantly get marketing texts and emails to go back, but why should I support this business that can't live up to its national standard? We don't even get greeted when walking into the door. I don't think this review will be read or heard, but my feelings were so strong (because I am passionate about business) that I want to send this up the corporate ladder. I think it's a great business idea, so I would hate for them to close for something as simple as improving service and customer experience. read more

There was a credit union event hosted here. I love they have a room with screens that we had our meeting there. Both the breakfast and lunch were good. The staff there were attentive. The golf event was fun. The screen would replay the shot instantly. Wish I was here at night with all the lights, may be more fun. This is a fun place for team building or just hang with friends to chill. There are heater lamps at the bays AND the seats are heated. Perfect for a chilly and windy day, but still feel warm and comfy. read more

It was our first time booking for a group of 6 and fist time in a location in california. Some of our guests arrived before us and they tried to check in the woman at the front desk told them they weren't allowed to check in and they would have known that if i would have text them back. Our guests waited a few minutes for us to arrive When checking in, the gentleman checking us in also mentioned that i did not respond to the text and for future reference i needed to respond (I read the confirmation text but missed the end part that asked me to confirm). He checked us in told us our bay and then walked away. We followed him thinking he was showing us to our bay but he walked over to some other group. We eventually found our bay, upstairs. The first 20 minutes of our visit we did not have a server so we went to go look for one to help us. We ordered food and drinks. We were surprised at the quality of the food. We had a fried chicken sandwich, mac n cheese balls, nachos and chips and salsa. All really good food. Overall, the check in staff was rude and passive aggressive but the food was delicious and when we found someone to serve us, they were great also! Would come back again but to a different location :) read more

Awesome new Topgolf location in Montebello, right off the 60 freeway. This facility is new, and a very welcomed addition to the SGV. We took advantage of the half-off deal on Monday and it was great. Three stories tall, wide open layout, huge projection of sports games on, at least three bars, and they serve food as well. Being a lefty, they also had left-handed golf clubs to borrow. At night it's really cool because the field is lit up against the night sky. I will say that the drinks are pretty weak, I got the mango daiquiri and it was soda and syrup with very little alcohol. My friend warned me about this, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. Probably better to stick to beer next time. They don't have happy hour yet, but the server helping us said they might in the future. For now, they have a deal for $20 per person from open to 12PM on weekdays. Too bad I can't take advantage of it! read more

New business to the Montebello neighborhood. I can see this being the summer hot spot. Huge parking lot, bright neon lights visible from the freeway and street, wall length windows. Tons of EV charging stations and parking spots. Merch available right next to the registration desk. Floors of gold bays, perfect for large groups, dedicated waiter(s). All food and drinks ordered during the time in the bay is added to one bill but can be paid on multiple cards at the end. Individual bars with plenty of seating on each floor and on the main floor. Outdoor patio areas with fire pits. Perfect for lounging. Looking forward to coming with another large group of friends or with the family to take advantage of their brunch menu. *only con: wish there was a space for other gaming, like an arcade area. if we take kids and wants to stay longer once our time in the golf bay has ended, there isn't much for them to do. read more

Went on a Tuesday for a team work lunch outing and boy were they staffed! Christian was our server/host and he was phenomenal. He explained everything to us and had such a great, pumped up energy! It definitely wasn't as busy compared to the other locations I've gone to but then again this location just opened four days? Before we went and we also went on a weekday. It was really nice not having to flag down or look for our server tho cause they were so well staffed. Other locations and during the weekends, I've had to flag someone else's server to find our server lol. We had 11 people in our party and booked two bays. Everything was very clean and new. We all ordered different things with a few appetizers. I got the patty melt and it was delicious! I'd go with tots instead of fries next time tho. The hummus, Mac and cheese balls, and queso blanco dip were also really tasty. The Mac and cheese balls were the first to go! I order these every time and would recommend. read more

To Topgolf Management, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding a deeply disappointing and hostile experience at your facility on 7/20/26 at 9 AM, which has directly resulted in the termination of my membership. Upon arrival, my party and I were completely ignored by the two front desk staff members--a heavyset white female and a short, skinny Black haie eHispanic female. Both employees were chatting among themselves and failed to greet us, welcome us, or offer assistance. I observed them fail to greet another party arriving just ahead of us as well. After receiving a text that my reserved bay was ready, my party proceeded upstairs, only to find the screen read "go see host" and the bay was unavailable. We had to return downstairs to the front desk. The two staff members were still conversing and failed to acknowledge our return. The skinny Black hair Hispanic female had to reopen the bay due to our arrival being 5 to 10 minutes late. Throughout this interaction, she displayed a complete lack of basic hospitality, offering no greeting, explanation, or courtesy. While heading back upstairs, I encountered David, the new manager. I brought my frustration to his attention, and he handled the situation professionally, listened, and spoke with the staff. However, the situation worsened upon our departure. Despite management having addressed the staff, neither employee offered a farewell. As my party and I walked past them, both employees openly talked under their breath and smirked at us in clear retaliation for the complaint. This ongoing pattern of poor customer service--particularly from the heavyset white female front desk employee, who has repeatedly failed to acknowledge me across multiple visits--combined with the hostile and retaliatory behavior displayed upon leaving, is unacceptable. It has created an environment where I no longer feel safe returning to this location. I request that upper management review this incident, address the unprofessional conduct of the front desk staff, and provide a formal response to this complaint. Sincerely, Clara L Former Member read more

We came to Topgolf for family time and ordered a bunch of food and drinks. During our entire visit, all of the bays around us were empty. When our golf time was up but our food wasn't finished, I was still feeding my toddler her burger. The waitress repeatedly came over and told us our time was up and that we had to stop eating and leave -- even though there were still plenty of empty bays nearby. We were maybe 5-10 minutes past our golf time, and in the past when we've visited, we were always allowed to finish the food we paid for. This time, they even assigned another family to our spot while we were still sitting there. It was humiliating. We spent hundreds of dollars and were even considering a membership, but after this experience we won't be returning. read more

My first time at Topgolf Montebello was okay, but I'd only give it 3 out of 5 stars. The bartender, Adam T., was great at the bar--friendly and quick. But when we moved to our bay, things got confusing. Even though we were told we didn't need to close out, we had to open a new tab at the our bay, which was annoying. Our server, Dulce, started off nice, but as the night went on, we felt rushed and ignored. When we asked for water at the end, it seemed like a hassle for them. Maybe because it was towards the end of the night and they need to sit people after us but it still made the experience unpleasant. Overall, we didn't feel great about the service. Came to Top Golf over the weekend with a group of 5. We made a "reservation" online first and even paid a 25% deposit for 90 mins. Though it says to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your reservation time, our group ran a little late and it appeared thru the email system that our by would be ready by our reservation time at 9pm. When we walked in to check in, we told the front desk we had a bay # already, and they said we could just go up to it. We walked up to our bay exactly around 9pm. (Note: 100's are first floor, 200's are second floor, and 300's are third floor). Once we walked up to our bay, our server was Steven. We were trying to get logged/registered in to the TopGolf system. Our group chose to pay for one person's lifetime membership ($5) and just use one person's account to play. We then noticed that we only had ~70-ish mins. available left on the screen. We asked Steven what happened and he ended up looking into it for us. Our group didn't want to be charged for 90 mins. if we were only allowed to play for ~70 mins. Anyway, after a lot of back-and-forth that felt like it ate up at least 10-15 mins. of our play time, Steven was able to make sure we only paid for the time we used and settle our bill. Honestly, I think their online reservation system needs to be updated somehow or made to be more clear...If their system sends out the confirmation email around 15 minutes before your reservation time and you confirm, it starts to count your time at the bay at that time! That's a bit ridiculous. I know their website states to arrive 10-15 mins. early, but our time should literally start when we get there, not when you press "confirm" on the email. All this to say, thank you to Steven for helping our group figure out our charges...My group & I just think there's room for improvement with the online reservations or it should be made clear that your time starts once you "confirm" the email. Anyway, we had fun as a group. They've got different games you can play on screen in addition to just a normal driving range. We played "Angry Birds" on the TV screen which was actually pretty fun. Food & drink are available, though I didn't pay attention to the price...Their Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini was good, and I only had a bite of the Buffalo Chicken Nachos, which were meh (nothing to rave about). Restrooms are available on each floor. You can also request for left-handed clubs (if needed). Parking lot is free & huge. I do think 120 mins. (2 hours) is probably better for groups of 4 or more people. I'm just not sure how soon again we'd come because if online reservation system has the above issues & walking in has 1+ hour wait, I don't know if I'd want to deal with it again... read more
