We've been to this TopGolf twice now. The first time was really exciting and excellent, the service was awesome and the food was great. The second time, we didn't order food, and it seems that causes the level of service to go down. Didn't feel as helpful as it was the first time. Other than that, it's super fun, the foods pretty tasty, I'd just like to see some more consistent service. read more

Arrived shortly after 5 pm today (Saturday) and was told it would be a 30 minute wait for a bay. No problem. We sat in the bar and waited for the text. After 45 mins, we checked back in with the hostess who said it would be another 15 mins. Another 45 mins later 90 minute total wait time) we gave up and left. It is now after 7 pm and still have received no text. Very disappointed. Drove WAY out of our way for apparently no reason. Would not recommend this location. read more

I've been at the golf place last week with my husband, we both don't really know how to play golf but it was so much fun! our waiter explained to us how to hit the ball. because it was our first time there, we didn't pay for the game, we hit as many balls that we wanted. we ordered nachos and they even gave us a free refill! WE DEFINITELY WILL COME BACK! read more

From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by multiple people who are all helpful and friendly. I have never been to a place where you feel so welcome. It was my first time golfing so I was a little nervous, but we had the nicest guy show us the games and even went out of his way to give us some tips on how to swing the club. He was one of the tallest guys I have ever seen so if he is there I would recommend him if you have the option. While you play, they have affordable drinks and food. We only played for a hour, but they also have free pool tables and shuffle board. We just had an all around amazing time, I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. My one complaint was the parking. It was a weekend and absolutely packed, but there should be more options, luckily we found a spot as others were leaving. read more

I heard so much about Topgolf and that's the end of the good news. Had a small get-together for my father's birthday on a Sunday afternoon. The table next to us consisted of five or six meathead guys that were over-the-top loud and obnoxious, shouting profanities and completely overserved (WASTED). Sadly, their server still kept bringing them cocktails. Unfortunately, I was in for one more dissapointment when I got my credit card bill. Topgolf charged numerous items that I had never approved/signed... twelve separate charges in all! This place is SUCH A RIPOFF AND WAY OVERRATED. It's probably needless to say but... we won't be going back. read more

My family and I go here a lot, and it's always great. Today though was the worst time we have ever had. We ordered drinks and food but our waitress sent them to the wrong place. Our food didn't come, even though our time ran out. She didn't comp anything or even apologize. The kitchen was not at fault -- it was our waitress. She was slow and unhelpful. Even when we got our bill, she charged us the tax on the entire bill (which means two of our food orders) --though three dollars isn't that big of a deal--it's the principle of the situation. The area next to us got free food, and we paid for it. No apologies. Super annoyed. Lexi T sucks. read more

Amazing facility to bring the whole family. Every time I come visit Austin, I always make sure to come here. The price is great and we end up having a lot of fun. I wish they had one in Abilene! read more

The best thing about our experience at Top Golf was our service. Our waitress was Natali and she was awesome. Very attentive and was always thinking ahead. She made me forget how hot a day it was. I plan on coming back with some friends and I'm hoping to get Natali again. read more

Had a great time at Topgolf! The games are fun and challenging. The server, Sierra S, provided amazing service getting us drinks and food.

I must say this is the best top golf facility I have been to (I have been to a couple others while traveling for work). I went with a large group while in town for a meeting, the servers were nice and on top of things. The food was great (had chicken and burger sliders and chicken strips). You could tell management prides them self on service because they were very involved in checking in on us and asking how things were going and made the whole experience great. Many of my co-workers who had never been to a Top Golf facility were raving about the place and calling their wives to tell them how awesome it was. If you are in town and have a chance to stop by I highly recommend you do so. read more

Had a great time with some friends when we went to TopGolf the other day. The price for the four of use was about what we'd pay to play a course in the area, but without the sweat. Fun times were enhanced by our Main Caddy, Sierra, who always made sure that the glasses weren't empty and offered tips on how things worked for those of us who were new to TopGolf. Fine time and great spirits. Thanks, Sierra. Will S. read more

I don't golf but I agreed to go here with a few friends who do and had a great time. Everyone's just having fun, nobody's judging. Service is very attentive. There are good beers on tap, the mixed drink specials are great, and the food menu is surprisingly large. read more

They most definitely water their alcohol. We had $9 margaritas with zero alcohol. How can I be so sure? I rarely have alcohol because I react to it. My face and ears immediately turn red. Reaction to $9 margaritas? Nothing. Zero response. I drank mine mine- zip. I tasted a friend's 2nd one. Still no response. And, no, it wasn't a fluke and it wasn't because they use some superior grade tequila. This is a life long response, regardless of type. grade, or amount of alcohol. Even a sip of beer causes a reaction. So, guaranteed there was no tequila in any of our drinks. On top of that, they had very unsanitary practices around the open ice bin. Swiping ice from the bar top back into the bin with a used glass. Don't waste your money. read more

A great afternoon or late night hangout spot. It's a bit pricey if you go in the evenings without a large group but the atmosphere is very inviting. I don't play golf at all and still had a great time practicing my swings. The food is always delicious, though overpriced in my opinion. Overall, a great experience. read more

We went to Topgolf for the first time ever. The place was clean, and nice. The staff was very friendly. We where on the 3rd floor and at night you can see the lights better. Food and drinks are good. lol I may have been a little to hungry to really comment on the food. But at that time, it tasted good. Drinks where good also... We stayed two hours and had a blast hitting the balls. Everything was a little over priced, but for a once in a while fun time, I'm good with that. We will go back sometime this year. read more

This is exactly the type of place I would think I wouldn't like, but it's actually a lot of fun! I've only been here for work events, and as a non-golfing business person, this is the best! It's not as painstakingly boring as a full 18 holes. It's not weather dependent. There is plenty of food and drink. They have these little doughnut pastries that you can inject various flavors of yummy goo into. You get a syringe full of strawberry, chocolate, or Bavarian creme and shoot that baby up! Yumm!!! read more

We were visiting family in Texas and they suggested this as a fun place to go and hang out for awhile. There were 11 people total in our party (mostly adults and a few kids, obviously golf would be fun for all ages). We arrived and they said it would be at least an hour before we could get a golfing spot, we were told by family that this was normal so we went to find seats to eat and drink while we wait. We couldn't get a table together so the 11 our us split up temporarily. The tables we found were not clean, but we politely asked the server if she could clean them (she said yes, but didn't come back to do it for 20 minutes). The were severely understaffed and running around with their heads cut off. My uncle told me this was also normal for the staff to be terrible and slow, I just don't understand why we would have gone there then, but anyway, this is apparently always an issue. It took her entirely too long to ask for the drink order and even longer to ask for the food order. Meanwhile, waiting for food and drink, there were 2 huge dish breaks and drink spills. Employees were in too much of a hurry, stressed, and that is what happens as a result. It took a long time for the food to come out, at least when if finally did it was decent. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and tater tots, my boyfriend got the sunshine burger and fries. Overall the food was decent, but I wouldn't go unless you like to wait hours for food and drink or you really want to golf. read more

it's tuesday night and it's raining with some lightning warning... i figured this was the perfect time to take few business associates from CA to show them about our prized Top Golf with little wait. before i even turn into the drive way of TG, i see cars parked on the streets...what the?? boy, was i ever wrong. TG is really THAT popular..... we put our name down and decided to eat dinner first as we waited for our bay to open up. (we were told an hour and a half) i had the smoke house burger and it was very, very good! we had two first-timers to TG today and they both loved it. mission accomplished. service was a bit slow but based on the crowd, it was more than understandable... TG is still 5 star in my book. ------------------------------------------------------ edit: 7/21/13 took the wife to TG for the first time today... as expected, she is hooked. impact: my wife wanted to go and buy her own golf gloves afterwards so we headed to Golfsmith nearby. while we were there, we agreed that she would take my second/backup set of clubs (wrong flex for me but the right flex for her) and in turn, i was given the green light to buy a used set to replace the set i gave her. now my backup set is the right flex which i am very happy about. it's a win-win for everyone and TG has a way of making everyone happy. read more

What a great place to kill an afternoon! Great view, great beer selection & pretty damn good food. My buddy Brad had some chicken tacos that he said were "freaking amazing". This place is different than I expected it to be. We're not golfers but someone recommended it so we took a chance. There were several of us including children and teenagers and there was something for everyone to do. It was fairly family oriented. I only say fairly because at one point we could hear music that was vulgar and offensive. From the time we walked in to the time we left, everyone was friendly. Natalie was our waiter and was very accommodating. She recommended several of her favorite dishes and some drink options. She directed us to the Jinga game for the kids and was very hospitable and attentive. She encouraged us to go downstairs and check out the other games as well. We all hit a few balls and had a great time. We may start golf lessons there now. It wasn't crowded when we got there but by the time we left there was a wait. I suggest getting there early, ask for Natalie and try the donut holes (you get a nice amount for sharing and three syringes full of different types of filling for them. It was delicious and fun) We're planning an outing there next week I would've given five stars had it not been for the music. read more

This is a fantastic franchise. Great service, tight operation, great ambiance, great location, good food, open for a long time. This is also a great place for happy hours, team events, fun with friends, family even if everyone does not know how to play golf. Eventually this place will get super busy and there will be long wait times. Since this is a new establishment - right now their clubs are in really good shape; whether they keep it new, time will only tell. I think they have callaway or titlelist so you don't necessarily need to drag your clubs along. I do recommend taking your own golf gloves. They do have a kinect on the 3rd deck and 2 pool tables in the basement to kill some time. They have a full bar and a 90% scratch kitchen. The food here is way better than places like Main event or 300. About their billing system: Its a little tricky little touch screen menu and asks every player to put in money, so just ask before you play around. Their staff is pretty helpful. They do ask you to create a $5 membership card (which I think in this day and age, should have been a smartphone app rather than a old fashioned card). TopGolf is the simplest game that keeps track of your score for 20 balls/ player and every one pays by the hour for the bay. read more

Great staff all around. Very helpful and always willing to help. This top golf is amazing, I will for sure be back.

I can't say it was the worst time, because once we were in the bay and playing it was all good. Friendly staff, the equipment worked without issues... what more could you want? The draw back- there was a incident when we came in where their equipment malfunctioned and pelted the cars in the parking lot. It wasn't just one ball, it was a ton. I'm guessing it was a manager who felt the need to nearly run one of us over with her car. She told us to get back, bit put her car right in the middle of the live fire! We almost ended up hit because of her. I really hope they reached out to those people, which I hate to say they didn't. One silver car looked like it had some pretty bad damage. read more

I had the pleasure of attending the soft opening. This place is enormous! There are so many things to consider, in the hours we spent there, I probably only saw about 15% of the place. I felt like I was at a nice hotel downtown. Relaxing fountain when you walk in. Awesome lighting, looked like led TVs everywhere. Swanky rooftop terrace with a central fire pit. They did not hold back! The food was amazing! We had the wing trio. Pressure fried wings with the perfect amount of crisp and sauce. Probably the best wings I've had in my life. The Asian wings were my favorite. The mushi roll was one of their signature items - it's like a Mexican sushi roll. A layer of cilantro rice with chicken, cheese, and beans rolled up and topped with a touch of avocado, sour cream, and Siracha. This was filling, but not too heavy! I would definitely order this again! We had the brisket chili - it was served with some nice poblano corn muffins. The chili is made with Jim Beam Devils Cut and had a really awesome flavor. Definitely not a light dish! The final thing we tried was the steak flat bread. The bread was crispy enough to not flop when picked up, but not not dry at all and it had awesome flavors! This was one of my favorite things we tried. I'm not much of a golfer, but I hit a few balls out and it was fun! If you bring your own clubs, you can check them in at the front and they bring them to your bay for you. The targets you shoot for light up with the music every once in a while. The service was excellent! The kitchen fell a little behind, but it was the soft opening with the place jam packed and everyone ordering simultaneously. It was expected. We were happy though! All in all, this place was pretty awesome! I'll definitely come back even if its just for a delicious meal. read more

I absolutely LOVE Top Golf! A little bit of background: I have been a loyal Top Golf customer since the Dallas location opened all those years ago. I am also a golf fanatic. I am the guy that will get a 3pm tee time in the middle of August when it is 105 out just to get a few more swings in. I have seen the good, and the bad, but I keep coming back because it is honestly the best time you can have standing in one place. The Dallas location had its issues (read golf range style ball dispenser and the target computer not reading the correct location of a struck ball), but those were mostly mitigated at the Allen location when it opened up. This Austin location is the best so far. Don't get me wrong, there are still some things you can nit pick about, but they don't detract from the overall awesomeness of this place. The SHORT version (++) Mats are great (+) Balls are decent (+) Laid back atmosphere (++) Fantastic service (-) Pricing is a little steep. (-) Can get super crowded (-) Software issues (-) Tees and length of range The Nit Picky Bad: 1) This place can get super crowded. There is no reservation system (unless you want to fork over $50 for a VIP Priority Pass that will let you reserve a bay up to a week in advance) so if you go during peak times, be prepared to wait. Sometimes the wait can be multiple hours. 2) The software isn't bullet proof. The whole concept of Top Golf is that there is a micro chip in each golf ball that can be uniquely tracked and registered when it enters into a scoring zone. While the software is getting much better (I remember at the Dallas location and even at the Allen location in the beginning the system would not recognize one your dispensed balls when it entered the target about 25% of the time. At the Austin location that only happened once to our entire group). 3) One size fits all tees. This is a personal gripe but I HATE the large white one size fits all tees. They are way too tall for a fairway wood or heaven forbid an iron, and they are a little too short for a driver. Granted the range is only 215 yards long so if you play golf a little, you don't have any need to hit anything other than an iron. 4) Food is just decent. Don't expect a religious experience here. It is mostly your standard Americana fair. Think Chilli's and you pretty much have the scope and quality of the food. The Golf Good: 1) The mats are very high end. They give a pretty good turf like feel to them. They compress nicely Obviously you are never going to get the same sort of feeling from a mat that you will from hitting off grass but these come pretty close. The Dallas location had a set of grass tees off to the left of the bays, didn't see anything like that at this location. 2) Balls are decent. They are a low compression golf ball. Think of your typical Taylor Made or Nike range ball that you would get at a place like Avery Ranch. From experience, the balls can get a little beat up, but in all the years I have been going to Top Golf I don't think I have ever been dispensed a cut ball. The Facility Good: 1) Great laid back atmosphere. I was really impressed with their first floor game room. They have a couple of pool tables, a shuffleboard table, and half a dozen flat screens next to the bar. So if you get tired of playing golf (don't know how that could happen) you have some other options. 2) Great little putting green out front. Didn't have a chance to do anything other than look, but it seems like a pretty good mix of different types of putts. 3) Great service. We were there right when they opened on Saturday morning but we were far from the only ones there. We still had no fewer than 5 different servers come up and ask how we were doing. We had our 13-month-old with us and everyone was very engaging. Overall, we were so impressed that we are going to do my upcoming birthday party here later this year. I am so happy we no longer have to wait for a trip to DFW to experience Top Golf in all its goodness. This is my go to spot when I want to have a good time for a couple hours. You just have to make sure you go when it is off peak times, or be prepared to wait. read more

On the 13th of Nov my best friend, her husband and I went to visit from friends in Pflugerville and they highly recommended this place for all of us to go eat. With them and us we had a party of 6. The waiter (don't know his name blonde guy with a man tail) came to take our drinks order and had a nasty disposition from start. Like he didn't want to be there. He took the order for the friends in Pflugerville but completely ignored my friend, her husband and I. For whatever reason they changed our waiter who brought the drinks already ordered, and he took the rest of our drink orders and then he informed us that he was leaving because he was getting closed to being on overtime and they did not want him to be on overtime. The whole experience was the worst I have every seeing!! They really need to do better by the customers. I know me personally I will NEVER go back there!!!! read more

This place is amazing! Whether you a pro or don't know how to hold a club, you will have a great time. Every bay has super comfortable seating and a great view to see the player hitting. You can play the different games they have to challenge your friends or just swing away at the balls. You don't even have to bend over to put the ball in place with their automatic ball dispenser...use all your energy on the swing. The prices are definitely not cheap but honestly I would have guessed it would be more expensive. There is even a nice outdoor bar on the rooftop to enjoy while you wait or after a couple rounds. Top golf is going to explode across the U.S. and the world! read more

I am hoping when we went there it was just a confluence of unfortunate events. But, in short, this place is so badly disorganized that I almost don't want to try it again. So, here are the various things that happened that left an awful taste in my mouth. 1) Arrived at 10:40 AM -- Friend had scheduled a lesson for 11AM and the confirmation email to prove it, but somehow it got entered into there lesson scheduling system as 10AM. We were waiting there for friend's wife to hang out with her elsewhere during the lesson so any screw ups affected me first hand as well. 2) The membership people and the concierge people, when back and forth for over 15 minutes and it came to be that no one really understood what was going on and told us to go downstairs and that "someone" would be there to start our friends lesson at 11AM 3) We put our name in for reservations for a stall at the same time, said there was a short wait. We were stunned as nearly 1/3 of the stalls in the entire place were open -- we had just walked the entire place 25 minutes earlier (Before our friends got there) out of curiosity because we had never been there before. Not that many people came in during that time. 3) 11:25 comes and someone finally comes over to start the lesson. Things are looking up. Because we still didn't have a stall we went over to the lesson area to hang out and order some food. 4) 11:40 we finally get a text saying our stall was ready. Looked around again and the place was still at least 1/3 empty. I have no other explanation for not getting our own stall right away other than they wanted to get us as close to 12 so it bleeds over into normal rate versus discounted rate. It just seemed really shady, unless they were just that disorganized and their systems are powered by hamsters. 5) 25 minutes after ordering our food, still nothing, and had to track down our server to ask where it was. It took another 10 minutes to appear... 6) The lesson was about over and the instructor really was apologetic for the screw ups to this point and let us play on the stall for free on his card. That went a really long way to almost forgetting everything to that point. 7) We played for about an hour, had fun, and then asked for the check. 8) 15 minutes later we had to hunt down the server to ask for our check, again, waited another 5 minutes 9) Then, on the way out, our friends tried to get the reservation/membership snafu corrected, because they had paid for 5 lessons. As it turns out no one knew what the heck was going on and we had about 6 different "you need to talk to so and so" things. First off -- they should have never had to go to different parts of the establishment to hunt down people, and second -- we got a lot of "I think" it works like this. Well, "I think" doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Our friends were just worried that the $125 they paid for 5 lessons was in their system and associated with their membership --- not an outlandish request. 10) Someone finally comes from the offices. There were wearing a different color shirt so they must know whats going on. Nope -- person was just as confused as the kids at the membership counter. Tries to tell us that the membership system and the reservation systems are not tied together and that you just have to trust us. During all of this, our friends asked for a refund of their lessons no less than 6 times and it fell on deaf ears. The facility is nice, the game play is fun, and the food is pretty good, but management and organization is in such dysfunction that I am not sure I will go back. The combination of what our friends went through and the shadiness of the "short wait" for a stall when the place was at least 1/3 empty really turned me off. read more
