Fun spot for group events. Went today with my co workers. Drinks, fun. You can choose one of several games, each which track the golf ball you hit out to the range and score you accordingly. We ordered the pretzel with fruits, pecans, cheeses. Highly recommend this. Service was great, even though they were strangely busy for 2:30PM on a Friday. Only drawback, we waited about 10-12 minutes longer than we were told we would be expected to wait. read more

Who just had the best time at Top Golf?! Spoiler alert: it was me. I'm not a golfer. I'm not very good at hitting small balls with thin sticks, but somehow Top Golf made my inadequacies fun. My golf-fanatic boo and I stopped by for a quick sesh on Saturday and were able to play immediately, but we opted to endure the 10-minute wait to get a higher floor to play from. There are a couple games to choose from, but if you don't have a card, you can't add another player. He has a membership card, but I don't. We chose to play the same game, which made it way more fun, since he's obviously going to win every game. The beer is about the same price as anywhere else and the games are $35/hr on Saturday afternoons, but that was honestly a fine price. We got 6 games in which was plenty. The only bad thing I can say is the food isn't that good. It's fine bar food, though. I've been here twice now, but I'd eat before you come. Plus, you have more time to golf if you're not munchin' on food. read more

Showed up after promo text asking us to come in for a discount however upon arrival was told I needed a reservation. Made a reservation online for an hour and a half later and proceeded to order food while we waited for our bay. I ordered 3 appetizers for my family so it shouldn't take long right? Well our bay is ready and we still haven't got our food. But we don't want to golf without our food at this point. What a joke. Over 90 mins to get out some appetizers? They are severely understaffed and it shows. Mind you it isn't even busy. Just sad and don't want to come back read more

Topgolf is always such a fun time no matter the weather outside. All the fun of golfing with the added bonus of table service and climate control. Reasonable hourly price, fun environment, decent food. What's not to love? This place is surprisingly great whether you are new to golfing or really good. They have clubs and irons to use, all in different sizes to suit whatever you want. Friendly bunch of people who know how to take care of you. It's of course cheaper on the weekday where I think it's really worth going. read more

Every dime you spend at Topgolf is worth it end of discussion! First time here and man I can't wait to come back. I'm a huge golf fan so to be able to just swing and drink for a couple hours is always a win in my book. The prices to play aren't that bad. They have a rewards system but it takes awhile to build up a discount on playing time. The new technology that shows you how you are hitting, the curve, velocity, etc. is amazing and really helps you get your game where you want it to be. The food and drinks are decently priced as you would expect. I don't think they have happy hour or anything so you're essentially paying full price. Had the Cheese Fries, Steak Quesadilla, and Pretzels. They were all great and came out hot and fresh. If you're thinking about coming here I don't have to convince you to. It's Topgolf everybody loves this place! read more

Golfing has always been on my bucket list to learn. After visiting Topgolf with a bunch of golf enthusiasts, I see why this game can be so addicting. Interesting concept: you're given clubs by the "bay" and each ball has a micro-chip to keep track of where you hit. They have eight different targets in the field ranging in distance and size and will determine a score with all the players. We came on a weekday evening and had a reservation for two bays on the upper deck. Along with the golfing, we catered a private dinner and drinks. Most of us took turns hitting the balls while eating some passable sliders and appetizers. The waitress who took our cocktail orders was on top on her game and made sure we were well attended for. I did manage to sneak in an order of the Injectable Donut Holes ($10 for 24 cinnamon holes). The pre-filled syringes of raspberry/chocolate or cream gave this a unique twist on filled donuts. Fun but could probably do without it. The pricing seems reasonable: Monday-Thursday (open to 6PM) and Friday-Sunday (open to noon) $20/hour per bay Monday-Thursday (6PM to close) and Friday-Sunday (noon to close) $40/hour per bay For any golf buff, this is a must do in Austin. I hope to eventually cross off learning how to golf one of these days from my list. Fore! read more

This is definitely a fun promising place with anyone including non-regular golfers (4 star)! We had a great fun as a group of five sharing one booth - played their signature game as well as the Angry Bird. The venue vibe reminds me of a bowling place, though much more spacious and somewhat healthier (prob because it's a half outdoor). We ordered some beer, hard liquor along with chips, fried cheese and tacos. Their food was okay, just what you'd expect as general bar foods. Make sure to visit there with your close ones to enjoy a time together :) read more

It's cool. Some of the staff act like either they don't want to be there or like you are bothering them by asking for something. Plus, I felt like our waitress didn't think we were going to tip well. All good, but shots out to the bartender on the bottom floor though, he was a rockstar. read more

To quote Caddyshack "Some people just don't belong". I met my friends after dinner to hang out at Topgolf (I didn't play, I don't like driving ranges). I had the equivalent of slightly less than two beers from the pitcher and then I ordered one more beer which took me over 15 minutes to get. I tipped the server well even though he had outright forgotten me and we went to the bar so I could finish my beer and be out of the servers way. Once I finished my third small beer, my friends decided they were going to head out and I thought I'd have another because I didn't have to work tomorrow, I could watch some sports, and I wasn't buzzed. I don't drink fast either so I probably would've been done about closing time and if I wasn't I would've asked them to toss the rest. So I go to the bar as my friends leave and ask for another beer, the bartender was pretty curt and says "We're not serving anymore." So I ask her if the downstairs bar is still serving and she says "You can take your chances." Weird thing to say but I was polite and went downstairs. I asked the downstairs bartender if they were still serving and he said yes and then I asked him for a beer and he told me that his manager said I had been cut off. I said okay and headed out the door but that just didn't sit right with me. So I went back in and asked to speak to the manager. The manager that I spoke to was not the one that made the call but (John was his name) he was polite and he is the reason this review is two stars and not one. He said that the manager upstairs used "clues" to determine that I had been over-served and I was curious as to what those clues were. He explained to me that this was a judgement call for my safety as well as the safety of the staff. Now I was very polite to the staff so I find that spurious at best and I can't help but think that maybe it was just my appearance that the upstairs manager used to make his call. See, I was dressed in a Shining floor pattern Hawaiian shirt and I had yellow shoes, I didn't look like the rest of the customers there. Certainly there were customers who were more rambunctious than I was, but I can't help but think I was singled out for my appearance. It wasn't about getting served again which I think John might've thought was my motivation it was really about the fact that I was humiliated. Truth be told I didn't really want to go to Topgolf but my friends wanted too but next I will put my foot down and not go. If you feel out of place there, it's not you it's Elitistgolf. Sorry, John I can't chalk it up to wrong place wrong time, but I appreciate you talking to me regardless. Topgolf is not fun, I hate going and if I'm lucky I'll never go again. read more

We had a blast at Topgolf Austin! It was our first Topgolf experience and even though my wife and I don't play golf normally, both our boys do, we still had so much fun. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the food tasted great, and the bays were all sectioned off for the current 6' spacing health requirements (with barrier curtains installed for increased separation). So, we recently planned a birthday outing to Top Golf for my brother who loves golf. With a party of 10-12 people and needing 3 bays next to each other, we decided it would be best to make a reservation vs. just showing up and hoping for availability. We were informed that to make a reservation, you have to commit to food purchases which was understandable to discourage everyone from making reservations and tying up all the bays. However, the MINIMUM cost just for the food is $175. We went ahead and made the reservation which included the food package for only 2 bays and the total ended up being around $200 for food. We figured we would get A LOT of great food for the cost. FALSE. We received the equivalent of what would have been maybe $50 worth of food at a Chili's. Similar quality too. So, Top Golf is essentially SCREWING you over by charging insane prices for food because they can when you need a reservation. It felt like we were robbed. Literally $50 worth of appetizers for $200 just so we could get several bays reserved for a birthday. RIDICULOUS. The golf was a lot of fun. read more

It's a good time, and since it's so close to the Domain there's no way it can't be the perfect place to unwind when you don't want the party to end too soon. I've been there way too much, they seriously should put me in a commercial or at least give me since shirts. Here's what it is: Think cosmic bowling meets driving range with drinks and music and food. Unless you've gone too often, you'll love this place. The best part is, they have games that cater to all skill levels. One game for example, rewards points for being consistent over hitting it far. I've been destroyed because I was having a macho moment trying to hit the back fence every time. But then a 5'3" slim shady starts rolling golf balls off the ledge with her toy club hit after hit to take home the trophy. We went here for the first time on a busy Saturday afternoon. The wait wasn't long at all since we had reservations. The actual golfing part was fun. Not too expensive at all. Step up the food and drinks and we'll definitely go back. read more

They told me their nachos were definitely gluten free, 30 minutes later they came back and said they were not. I have an allergy to gluten, this ruined my day. I tried submitting the below note to customer service through their website, but the website wouldn't submit it. So annoying. I was part of a group reservation, when we showed up they brought out a platter of signature nachos, chicken strips, meatballs and sliders. I asked the waitress if any were gluten free because I have an allergy. She said the signature nachos "definitely were gluten free" but would check on the rest. She seemed confident so I trusted her and ate them. I also asked a waiter what was gluten free and he said he'd get back to me. 30 mins later when he finally got answers from the kitchen he notified me that nothing served to my group was gluten free, including the nachos since beer was in the beans. By then I'd already eaten them a lot of it. My mood immediately nosedived and I was dreading feeling severe sinus congestion and queasy was for the next 3 days to a week. It ruined my experience. If the wait staff doesn't know an answer to allergy information they shouldn't guess like my waitress did and it should not take 30 minutes to get simple answers about allergy information. read more

I've heard of Topgolf from a lot of my friends but I've never experienced it for myself until now. I live in NYC so the closest Topgolf would be a hour plus out in New Jersey. So when I got a chance to go on my trip to Austin I was very excited because of the positive experiences from people I know and the fact that the facility in Austin looked very new. Topgolf makes the experience so easy and effortless. You can reserve bays through the app. Usually on a busy day like the weekend, there would be a reservation fee but it is worth it because sometimes it could take a while for a bay to open up. Once we got to the facility, only had to check in and then the employees directed us upstairs to our bay number. There were close to 60 bays, each floor had about 20. We ended up being at the very end which was great because we didnt have to deal with neighbors. There were TV screens at each bay and screens to control your game. There were many different types of games you could play but my friends and I would just try to hit them as far as possible. Each bay also had couch seating for about 6 people and servers would come around taking orders. The food there was actually very good and got a few orders of boneless wings and a few pitchers of beer. The overall experience at Topgolf was amazing and I wish there was one closer to home. The only negative thing about the whole experience was that occasionally, the bay didn't track the ball very well and had to keep asking the server to help us out. Other than that, everyone in my party had a lot of fun. Also, if golf isn't your thing, they offer plenty of other activities like corn hole, video games, pool and ping pong. There is something for everyone at all ages and I hope to go to another one soon. read more

I come back 10 mins after calling and the front tells us that "It's not here and they can't find it." Well, which is it?! Topgolf is addictively fun, but pricey. Depending on the time you play you could be paying $20-40 per hour for a bay. Each bay will seat up to 6 people. The bays are climate-controlled and comfy (so you can come at anytime of the year). Some have high bar table seating, and others comfy couches. There are several levels of bays that you could be assigned too. Some may just be a longer wait than others if you are choosy. Each bay has a computer at which you can select which type of game you would like to play. There many different type of clubs you can select from. Also, there is a flat screen TV that you can select the programming that shows if you download the Topgolf app and use it as a remote. You don't need to be a golf pro to play here. It's like golf and a high tech dart board got together at a gastro pub and Topgolf was the result. Each golf ball has a personalized microchip. Hit your ball into one of 11 targets ranging from 20 - 240 yards away. Each target has a reader that detects the microchip in your golf ball. The reader computes your score based on accuracy and distance of the shot and then sends that score to the computer at your bay. That is why you need a membership card to play so that everything ties back to you as the player. Each player gets 5 balls. Just select a club, place the club on the scanner, and a golf ball will pop out. While you are hanging out and playing a server will come by your bay to take your order for food or drinks. The service here has always been friendly and prompt. My only complaint is sometimes they pipe in the music a bit too loud, making it hard to carry a conversation while playing. The food is actually pretty good here. I have been here with co-workers for happy hour before just to eat and get a drink in the dining area. There is plenty of parking. If you don't mind walking, just head straight to the back, and usually you can find a spot pretty quickly. read more

We come here a lot since moving to Austin as we live right across the street. We play golf and then after get some drinks and some snacks. First time here and I admit, I suck hardcore at golf. We came on an EXTREMELY busy Saturday and the wait time for the golf bay was 3 hours. The front desk informed us that there was a company event that rented out 2/3 floors, hence the delay. We decided to kill some time and grab a bite to eat on one of the floors. Pro tip: DO NOT come hungry because we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Dirty plates still remained on our table the whole entire time from the last patron, which our waitress kept trying to find and designate someone else to clear. Why she just wouldn't do it herself remains a mystery. FOOD + The Classic ($10): Overall, it was good. I ordered a medium rare, but it was on the verge of rare instead. Didn't want to send it back and wait again for who knows how long. Fortunately, I didn't get sick from eating that. + The Mac Daddy ($13): My man liked it, but it wasn't worth the extra upcharge for just mac 'n cheese. You might want to skip this and avoid the gimmick. GOLF We all chipped in and rented the bay for an hour. This helps the $40/hr rental easier on your wallet if you ain't ballin'. If you're not an avid golfer like me, I think that an hour is enough time for the excitement to wear off and you feel so over it afterwards. Our server, Caitlyn, was very friendly and attentive. Kudos to you! Caution: Your balls are tracked with some sort of GPS technology. If it goes out of bounds into the parking lot and hits a car, you're liable to pay up for the damages. So, easy there, Tiger. CONCLUSION I think it's a great date idea or a place to drink some booze and hit some balls with friends if you have nothing else to do. + Free valet parking + Golf clubs provided in your bay for no extra charge 3/100 read more

Top Golf is one of those places you should try, at least once. It's got food, drinks, hot men errrrrywhere and entertainment in many forms. It's well laid out with a good process and friendly staff. It's also a fratdaddylicious magnet with lots of people who frequent "high end" chain restaurants, spray tan and hang out at the Ranch. Here's the process. First, you put your name on a waitlist for a bay, then pay for a $5 "lifetime membership" card and sit at the bar to wait. You can have drinks and food there, all of which are decent. The service is a little spotty but hey, it's a golf bar. You can also play Kinect, shuffleboard and sit at the upstairs outside bar. When you get your text (!!!) you're led to the bay. Then you use a relatively tricky systems to put in your time and members and credit card in. Its like bowling -- for golfers. There is a set of clubs there -- but you can bring your own if this is like, a serious thing for you. Weirdo. You hit balls into a huge field that has giant lit up bowl type things. The ball you hit has a sensor and when it falls into one of those, you get points. You can do different kinds of games, use different clubs, etc. They've also got a TV in every bay, an individual fan that you can control and waiter service. A couple of pro tips: -- There is an upstairs outside bar that's usually less crowded -- They're texting you when the space is ready... no need to sit in any of their bars if the wait is excessive. You could explore the domain. -- If you want to speed up the process, get a bunch of balls at once instead of waving your club over the green light every time. -- Also, instead of changing golfers with each ball, do 5 at a time. -- Don't get the cotton candy, cookie dessert unless you want diabetes -- It is family friendly but please only bring kids that can control their equipment. This one kid next to us kept hitting the ball backward. -- Afterward, go enjoy the sweet reverse happy hour at Copper or any of the other domain spots All in all, given its size and the audience they're working to attract, it really is a nice place. Just make sure to wear your lacoste and have a St. Thomas vacation to brag about before you come in. read more

When Hubby and I got together, you know back in the dark ages when people walked around a golf course and carried they own clubs, he was an avid golfer which meant that on weekends, he was gone at least 12 hrs at a time. When it's your "salad days" that seems like fuh.rever. NOW, 20+ years later, he could go play golf for 5 days and I would distractedly say, "meh, have fun". Back THEN, I thought I would try to learn so I could share in his hobby but the bad thing about that is, when you are a novice playing a course, other players are watching you, sharking you, waiting for you to HIT THE DAMN BALL (which, as a novice, is sometimes ridiculously impossible), or let them play through. Too much pressure. Suffice to say, I lost my enthusiasm for the game quickly. So, yeah, I was a little less than excited to meet Hubby here on a Friday evening....a Friday evening following a week where I had gone out every nite and I was TIRED. I walked in grouchy and left an LGPA tour potential. Actually, just like booze makes you think you're just the greatest dancer, it also makes you think you're a pro golfer. Granted, my Hubby is a pretty good instructor and by the end of the evening, I was knocking the SHIT out of those balls. Very therapeutic, I must say. So, for those that are curious and clueless about Top Golf, here's the deets: It's PACKED. Hubby got a "membership" that allows us to reserve a bay. While the bar(s) are comfy and drinks are good, I'm not sure I'd be willing to just wait around for an hour or two to play. So this was the way to go for us. There's NO happy hour on food or drinks, just reduced rental on the bays before 6. As much as I would like to see this change, apparently it doesn't matter cause they have a "captive audience" and they are packing them in irregardless. The Banh Mi flatbread I ordered was REALLY good at $9. Note: they also have Dulce Vida Tequila (for $9 in a marg). They have both male and female clubs available in each bay, but I would recommend bringing your own OR wearing golf gloves as those clubs will leave your hands black and dirty, the same hands you're eating your banh mi pizza with. Some hand sanitizers in each bay would be fantastic! The staff is incredible. Our drinks were a little slow in coming but our "Man Host" was so sweet and obviously loved his job so much it was infectious. Apparently, all the waitstaff will dance when certain songs are played but we didn't see that spectacle. However, Jeremy was very enthusiastic about it and described the patrons joining in as well. We left by 7, but they have a DJ and/or live music on Fridays and once the sun goes down, it must be quite the Golf Rave with the course lit up and flashing. Also, we were fast approaching our 2 hour time limit on a bay that was reserved, and instead of kicking us out, they graciously moved us to another available (and better) bay and comped us another hour to play (this may be in fact due to hubby's VIP status but still, the managers came out and moved our food and drinks and made us feel really rock star). I had thought this was all a digital driving range (like The Range in the Domain), but far from it. When you are on the upper levels, it's like the Mount Everest driving range. The "course" is HUGE and the system is so smart. Each bay has a machine that spits out golf balls and each ball it spits out is chipped so that it will know exactly where your balls land, which then shows on your computer screen, and assigns points if you hit certain targets. So when Hubby yells "Get legs, Ball!" or " Put some hair around it" YOU may not see how far from the hole you are, but the computer KNOWS (for the record, the furthest I hit was 165 yards :). The upper level was so comfy with rotating fans and couches. I even saw someone arrive with a golden retriever, so I'm guessing it's dog friendly if you're dog is friendly. I would hesitate to bring MY golden as he would dive off the platform and chase balls but I leave that to your judgement. Ladies, there are lots of hot golfers out here so wear your skimpy butt shorts, stick it out and grip that stick! But don't wear your spike heels. You'll put a divot in the driving green. So, I really can't wait to come back. I dreamt of balls and woke up thinking about them, which makes hubby so happy.....what? I'm just finally enthusiastic about something he's loved for a long time.....what? Anyway, I did wake up this morning with my right shoulder chronically hitched higher than my left and my left hand in a claw formation. Golf is sexy. Let's go! read more

We have stopped in a couple times and the wait was long and we felt discouraged to wait it out. Well on Labor Day we decided to take advantage of their discounted daytime pricing and embrace the wait and I am very glad we did. There are several memberships you can purchase and we decided to do the basic $5 membership which gets you free clubs, an on line account and a handy member card that you can add credit to and control the game board at the bays. There are other memberships with other perks available. We were told it would be a 2 hour wait so we got on the list and ordered food at the bar. I ordered Mushi and Jesse a club sandwich with fries. Mushi is sticky rice, drunken beans, chicken, cheddar cheese, wrapped in a cheddar jalapeño tortilla, topped with sour cream, avocado and hot chili sauce. It sort of like a burrito cut like a sushi roll. It was not a culinary masterpiece but it was a fun eat. The club was pretty bland with basic white bread and the fries were less than spectacular (definitely frozen). After an hour of waiting with drinks and food at the bar we receive the text that are bay is ready! Wow the bays climb three levels and the third floor has an outdoor bar with a beer pong games, giant jenga and their version of corn hole. The view from each floor is absolutely stunning with the open with the vibrant green and beautiful blue sky. They graciously brought me some left handed clubs and walked us through how to us through the games and we were off! We played the TopGolf game where you simply score points by hitting balls into any target and the closer to the center and the further away earns you more points. I am not a golfer and find the driving range a snooze fest but TopGolf is a blast! My heart was racing for the entire hour which went by fast. The prices are discounted to $20 an hour Monday through Thursday open until 6 PM and 9 AM until noon Friday through Sunday. Otherwise it is $40 per an hour for up to 6 people per bay, per game. Parking can be tricky here but they do offer valet. If you do not wish to wait either come during slower hours or if you are a baller you can pay extra to "cut the line". I saw two birthday parties and TopGolf catered with a small buffet style table by the party's bay. This would make a great team building event for coworkers. I look forward to improving my skills while having a blast at TopGolf again soon. read more

This is where Arnold Palmer might hit golf balls with friends during his retirement. Did you get that? With friends, during his retirement. Because if you think that coming to a place like this will help you improve your swing, you'll be really disappointed. Loud music and fans, and servers asking, "Are you doing okay?" during your backswing, are not a big help. Our server today didn't make the mistake of addressing us during a swing, but I saw that happen to a guy who was on his own the last time I was here. Last time I came was on Google's dime with Tony B and Ryan S, and service was great. This morning, service was almost like a unicorn... non-existent. The guy who led us to our bay said he'd send out a server, and that he was surprised one hadn't already come over. Iced tea sounded like a nice idea, but fifteen minutes later we were still bereft of server, despite the people a few bays over having gotten service. I left my dad in the hot desert of the bay (I'll get to that) and hit up the bar in search of an oasis. As soon as I approached the bartender, he walked away. WTF?! So I asked the concierge if there were any servers on duty. He apologized and sent one over, so at least we finally got service. Back to the desert... While the bays are covered, they're not exactly shaded. I noticed it this morning, and in the evening the last time I came, so I think it's more a design issue than the sun's placement. Not exactly sure how this could be fixed, so I'll just warn you to wear sunblock and shoes that cover your feet. The guy who led us to our bay at the beginning asked if we'd been there before. My dad said no, but I replied yes. He swiped our membership cards to start our paid hour, and then went on a 5-minute explanation trip of how things work. --Again, I said that I've been here before.-- I can understand a 5-minute tutorial for newbies, but I can just as easily explain to my father the way things work WHILE WE'RE PLAYING. Dude's tutorial wiped five minutes off our play clock. That may not seem like much, but J Pops and I wanted as much play time as we could get, being that we'd already paid for it. Just saying. The music that played overhead wasn't my style, and it was way too loud. But, like I said earlier, this is not a place to go to practice your swing. This is like glow-in-the-dark bowling with a bucket o' beer. Think Peter Pan Mini Golf for adults. Party golf. "Commercial golf," as my dad put it. While J Pops was glad to finally see what this place was all about, we both decided that we'd rather play at a regular ol' quiet, simple driving range. Library golf. Tobey Maguire golf. If a friend or friends wanna go during the day ('cuz it gets waaaaaaay too crowded after 5pm), I'll be happy to come here, have a few al-kee-holic drinks and laugh at my damn self for whiffing a shot or not being able to balance the ball on the tee. But, if I wanna work on my shot -- which is most of the time -- I'll go to a real driving range. read more
