We had a great time visiting this location and all the serving staff were extremely friendly and so very helpful! We were located on the main level (?) when you walk in, and our group consisted of beginners. We still had a fun time whacking the balls off the second level, although we did not get a lot of points. I am not the world's greatest golfer but this place is pretty fun. I am not sure how long it has been open but it has a very new feel and is a pretty crowded popular place. It is a good place to have a few drinks while you embarrass yourself by not hitting the targets or at least not hitting the target you are aiming at. The staff borders between inexperience and confusion. Management is doing what they can, but seem to be over-extended. The good news is that if you manage to traverse the chaos from the opening door to the driving bay, the game is incredibly fun and takes virtually no skill to enjoy. I'm convinced that Top Golf is THE reason my friends from out of town come to visit me. Every time we go, it's a fantastic experience. Good food, great service, and even if you don't care much for golf (like myself) you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself a ton! The only pieces of advice I have to give are: 1. Make sure you don't try to go at peak times (at least not without a big group that you've called WAAAAAY ahead of time with to reserve a few lanes). 2. Topgolf is awesome and I absolutely love the concept! This is the first location I've been to other than my home base and it was a fun time.....even for a hot, muggy day! We went on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait about 10 minutes, that's unheard of where I live. I was really surprised more people weren't out and about but who cares, I will take it. After some confusion about what bay we were in, they finally got us settled in and our large group had an awesome time. Service was on point, drinks were flowing and we got some finger food as well. One thing I love about Topgolf is that they don't completely gauge you on prices for drinks. You can get a draft or can beer for $5 and that's way more reasonable that what others try to charge you. I usually dig their food but I wasn't a fan of their queso, salsa and chips which is pretty much unheard of in my world--how do you ruin liquid cheese?? The facility seemed to be in need of some work as well, there were multiple spots throughout the bar and entrance where the ceiling was dripping which kept me on my toes. I tried this location after having a great time at my first Top Golf experience at the Dallas location. I love the lounge chairs they placed compared to the metal tables/chairs at the Dallas location. The driving "field" was a little narrower than the Dallas location, but it's still nice. Tried the food there for the first time----the Margarita Pizza was awesome!!! (no meat though). The wait time was 2.5 hours on a Saturday night, but I can see why----too fun to leave! After countless Sunday afternoons of my Dad's golf tournaments droning on the TV, I swore off this sport... but was delightfully surprised to see they've come up with a classy alternative where you can let of some steam by hitting a few balls, throwing back a few drinks, and diving into a plate of chili cheese fries (oh my!) I'm not sure if all TopGolf locations are a snazzy as these digs in Allen, but they sure did it right! The multilevel building is dressed to the nines with contemporary furniture and artwork throughout. There are bars and seating areas if you need a break inside from the green. The menu pricing is surprisingly reasonable, with most food options from $8-12 and beers starting at $3.75. Sadly, I'd eaten beforehand and wasn't hungry, but everything I saw ordered in our group looked absolutely killer. They even have a weekend Bloody Mary bar- bonus points! I am...well... "sports challenged," so I didn't actually play more than one round, but with the casual set up and spacious hang out areas, it was still a great time for all. It was still fun getting to watch everyone play and compete. Serious golfers can work on their swings while still hanging out with family and friends. TopGolf, the high-tech driving range! With such a crowd, I find it strange. I hope they're on the stock exchange, because this trend's unlikely to change. So fun. I've been hearing about TopGolf for a while now and finally ended up going with a few friends to see what the deal is. Holy crap, so fun - I immediately understood why it's so popular. Now understand, I do not golf whatsoever. As long as you go with someone who kiiiinda knows what they're doing, you'll be fine. Drinks were good - they had a full bar, which made me happy. The only food we ordered was some chocolate chip cookies, which were ridiculously rich, but I can't complain. You can smoke out there at your table, a plus, and there was a mix of country and other random music during the day. Then at around 6 or 7pm, they switched it to dance music. On a nice day, it was basically paradise. I got there thinking we'd spend a couple of hours, but we were there for about 5 hours. I didn't want to stop playing. Seriously... so fun. I actually went half an hour out of my way to check this location out. Compared to the Dallas one, this one is hands down nicer as expected. The staff is still in training mode so expect mistakes and to wait on things from loading your card to drinks. There are three levels to hit from, lcd screens all over, and even extra chairs and sofas scattered throughout. Didn't see the giant Jenga set though. Biggest plus, no more retrieving balls with pails as the balls come to you. All you do is wave your club over the sensor and a ball spits out. YOU CAN ALSO PRACTICE FOR FREE NOW. In a land far, far away, (I'm talking practically Oklahoma) Geppetto took a block of wood and carved it into Top Golf. One day, a blue fairy came along and said if Top Golf could become truthful, brave and unselfish, it could become a real boy. Well, there you have it, they finally made Golf into a real game! For all of you who are totally agreeing with me, you know what I mean. This won't become a commentary on Golf and/or the sport. So this is the first time I've been here. I've seen it in pictures. I've heard about it, but my vision in my mind was a completely indoor facility where you played video golf. Stand in a room with a projection in front of you and drive balls into the screen. I don't think I could be much more wrong. This is a covered facility with 3 different tee levels. There are targets out on the range that you try to put your golf ball in. If you're successful, the screen will tell you where it went and how many points you score. Just driving the ball is fun, but making a game of it, gives you a purpose. It really beats the average driving range. The secret is in the ball. An RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) chip that allows the system to know which ball is yours so you get points. It's set up extremely well. You pay something like $4 for 20 balls and each time you request a ball (just put your club over the sensor) it reads the ball and dispenses it. Then PING, off it goes and hopefully it ends up in a target. The target funnels the balls to another reader that knows which target it went into and VOILA, the screen tells you where the ball went and how many points you scored. More fun than you can shake a club at. The funniest part of the evening was watching a little girl in the next bay, she had to be like 4 or 5, cute as a button, try to hit the golf ball, then get so frustrated she threw the club on the ground in rage. The next time, she just picked up the golf ball and threw it. HILARIOUS. There are a bunch of TVs to watch if you want to keep up with sports and some of the bays have nice couches or chairs, others just a regular table and chairs. Up stairs there are fires to sit near and bean bag games to play. This place is remarkable. That's why I'm remarking on it. The food is bar food, however, it's above average. I had the nachos with brisket chili. The nachos were good, the brisket chili probably would have been better on the side as chili, instead of on the nachos. Service was a little above average (thanks Janessa!) and the price was average. For the 5 of us, it came to about $55 before tip. That's 5 food items and 2 cokes. Not too bad. What a great night. We celebrated our my brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-laws wedding here. It was part of the pre-wedding festivities and we had a great time. Emma and Garret were great. They were very nice and helpful. They even surprised the bride and groom with some donut holes with a note of Congratulations! Thank you to Isaac for the catering. The pulled pork sandwiches were yummy!! I got a little cocky beating my family in the first game but my husband had to show me that yes he is boss when he crushed me the second game. This is such a weird place. Firstly, not for golfers.... ever. They charge 49 an hour plus 5 dollars per person or 26 for a half an hour. You get one ball at a time which drops down by you waving your golf club over a circled area. It takes forever to come out. This is either the most expensive driving range in the history of golf, or like I said... it is simply not for anyone who plays golf and thus knows better. The heaters are extremely annoying too... very hot. If you swing 10 times or more you will be sweating. You can order alcohol which is good, but when you are paying 50 dollars an hour, everything gets pricey and you feel rushed and on the clock. I will never go again. Like I said, for anyone who actually plays golf this place will be annoying. The additional star goes to the staff, who were nice. The kid who took us to our bay did a very poor job of explaining the game aspect of their system (on a computerized screen), which caused us some problems, but the other staff were nice and accommodating. read more

TVs are everywhere including some displaying your game stats. Its a deal for the fun, there are different games for scoring, and balls dispense right to your feet !! Hint Park Ln TopGolf does not do this. This Allen location is much better to me, as far as traffic, location, service, and interior. I recommend getting the lifetime card 35$, gets you 8 gms to start. Each game gives you 20 balls. Just recharge as you go. Discounted card for military, police, and fire FYI. Don't have clubs that's OK, free rental with your players card. Friday night, and all day/night weekends crowded, and a wait for a station. Get in early. A cloudy, rainy day this place is perfect for that its covered and you can pick where ever you want to play. All types come here, golfers, to kids, and people who have no idea how to swing but no one cares. Nobody is watching you, we are all having a good time. I wouldn't recommend kids but hey, if you don't mind swearing, drinking, and smoking around them bring em. You can smoke anywhere, so its everywhere, however its not as common as you think. Its a cheap time, a game can last over an hour if your playing with 3 or 4 people, shoot every 3rd or 5th ball and rotate players etc. Or you can wack the 20 balls and go fast. If you include food and beer of course the price goes up. Get you a bucket of corona with limes, A classic club , spinach dip .. aww yeah. FIRST TIMERS: If you're debating going, you need to at least go once and try it out. $40/hr for a hitting bay which can hold up to 6 people. They make it super easy to split the cost and it's even cheaper if you bring your own clubs. DALLAS AND NEW TO ALLEN: If you've been to the Dallas location and not this one, I would recommend trying it out still. The bar/inside area is better at this location. The outside patio/games/etc. are better at Dallas. Dallas card holders, be prepared to get a new card at this location. They use a different database than Dallas. Bring your old card too and it'll save you $5. The location is substantially less ghetto as well...which is a bonus in my book. Wait staff could be a little more attentive on Friday night. Great concept, skill a few kinks. The place is a fancy pants driving range, where the balls each have RFID so you can track where your ball goes. This makes the classic hit the ball driving range a thing of the past. You can aim at targets like in real golf and know where it goes even if your eyes lose track of it. They have games (it feels like bowling) where you can keep score against your buddies. Sadly... sometimes the balls don't register and you get zero points. It is very annoying and happens way too often. The automated ball system that gives you a ball before you hit also sounds awesome...until it doesn't give you any balls and you have to wait 15 mins for the repair guy to fix it. LOVE this top golf. Super friendly staff. My 5 year old son and I came to Golf for the first time . The gentlemen working the desk walked us down to our bay and helped us set up our game. I really like Top Golf and this location is certainly nice. What set this Top Golf apart from the Dallas one is just how clean everything looks and is, granted this is a newer location. The service we have received here has always been great, servers are friendly and informative and I don't find that it gets as crowded as the other locations. Absolutely terrible now. This place has really gone down hill since they stopped allowing people to pay per game. Wait times are constantly over an hour, and while you are waiting to play, you can be ignored by the terrible service in the bar/restaurant area. My wife and I waited 30 minutes while the only server in the area ignored us. If you are looking to skip the wait, too bad because the owners are too incompetent to set up a reservation system. Even though when you get to the establishment the check in is automated. Went TopGolf's new year's to bring in 2020. While this TopGolf in Allen is a good one, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR NEW YEAR! Expensive and the food was not good. I got the VIP pkg and when you play golf, finger food is what you want! They had cold mashed potatoes, very very bland beef patty and chicken (by a chef...hmm) Needlessly to say, we spent a lot of extra $$ to eat directly from their menu! OH, and their website stated for first come-first pick on your bay and stay for fireworks after midnight! What they actually did was prepicked the bays for you (until I complained to the right person) and then my fav.. 'fireworks'...get this...meant you get to WATCH downtowns fireworks on the TV!!! First time at any top golf and had a good experience. I flew into town and met up with some friends here. The food is ok. Apparently their buffalo spring rolls don't have much buffalo sauce if any. Other than that, stick to their bar foods like burgers and flatbread. Think of this place as a bowling alley but for golf. Great concept and service to boot. TopGolf is a really great experience for golf players of all abilities. Having been to both the Dallas and Allen TopGolf, I can say that the Allen location really blows Dallas out of the water. I've heard Dallas will be upgrading their location, but at the moment they seem a step behind. Everything at Allen's location, from the bays to the bar, really seem modern and well kept. Games and food can be a bit pricey, but we found the food (specifically the wings) to be delicious. A warning that you can drop $40 just on wings and beer for 2 people, so come prepared to spend on top of the games themselves. Overall, TopGolf is a great place to visit, but make sure you are prepared to wait. read more

I love Top Golf! We have been going since opening night, and continue to go a few times a month. Now you pay about 20 an hour for golf, but you can also split this between however many people you have in your party. The bay itself can let you play up to 6 people per game. The food is always tasty, and the drinks are always flowing. Now with Food and Drink it can get a bit pricey, but worth it. They do custom parties and can handle large groups and corporate events with ease. The on staff golf shop and wait staff are always happy to serve you and answer your questions. They also brew Starbucks in house. Also if you ever have a chance to the events, such as the tournaments and leagues! prizes galore and fun to be had. read more

Love the concept and was okay with the pricing model, but this particular Top Golf completely failed on managing expectations in terms of wait time. We checked in at 6:45 PM on a Saturday night and fully expected a wait. We were told the wait would be an hour upon check-in and paid membership dues/first hour with a credit card. At 8:45 PM, we found ourselves speaking with the manager after several conversations with the staff over the course of the last hour, with repeated promises that we would have a bay available in "10-15 minutes". Finally, at 2 hours in, we asked for a refund and suddenly were offered the bay of our choice with an hour of golf comped - we passed due to the fact we were absolutely starving by this point and had dinner reservations elsewhere (fyi: refunds need to be funneled through corporate and have a 2-week turnaround). Our insane wait-time problem seemed to stem from the fact that Platinum members have the ability to "jump line", causing non-Platinum members added wait time. If you are not a Platinum member, be prepared for extremely long wait times. Incidentally, a Platinum membership will run you $250/year, not counting any other added expenses like food, drink, play time, etc. Be forewarned - this is not a casual/show up and have fun kind of place. Be prepared to allocate 4-5 hours out of your day, without a reservation, which includes a significant amount of waiting around time. read more

Great place for beginners and more seasoned golfers alike, but I must say that they still have a lot of kinks to work out. As another review stated, it was confusing as far as where to go upon arriving there. We finally figured out there is a check-in kiosk that you first go to, then another line if you need to rent/borrow clubs or purchase their playing cards. Not very intuitive for first-timers, but ok once you get the hang of it. The service is inconsistent. There are some employees that will go out of their way to help you, as with the nice gal who took our cards back to the check-in counters when there was a problem with them. Then you have others who look like they are just passing the time by working there. Service can run on the slow side so set expectations accordingly. Once you get in your assigned bay, it's just tons of fun from there! You don't need to be a pro golfer to enjoy your time here. Since they do provide clubs if needed, anyone can play the games. It's pretty much like playing darts but using golf balls instead. You get points for how close you get your ball to the target, and the balls all have microchips in them so the sensors at the targets can detect them and give you points accordingly. read more

You don't have to be good at golf to dig this! The few times I have been there, the people around me weren't that good at all. But you're so busy doin your own thing, no one's watchin you miss the ball all together. It's idiot proof too- the games are straight forward and easy to learn. They give you all the clubs you could want and you don't need special shoes- but I'd avoid flip flops. Pricing is reasonable for the games. Food and beverage are reasonably priced as well- and the food is pretty good considering it's a golf place. There's lots of casual seating for everyone- it really is like driving golf balls in your living room. They have fire pits and A/Cs- so it's never hot/cold or wet (it's covered). TVs, full bar, clean bathrooms, friendly waitresses- I'm tellin ya, no reason NOT to add it to your list of activities to do. I love this place! It was my first time here with my boyfriend and it was so much fun. It's something different to do in the Dallas area. It's more expensive than before but I think it's worth it. It's basically $40 an hour, and we paid $80 for 2 hours. So having more people would definitely help. You rent the clubs for free or you can bring your own. There's a couple of floors but I wanted the top to get a better view and it's somewhat easier to hit the ball. We played the topchip game and it was sooo much fun! There are a couple of red, yellow, and green holes. They are huge so when you hit the ball in a certain region, it gives you more points. Each ball has a chip or tracking of some sort that allows it to calculate which region it lands in. Pretty cool. There's a machine that dispenses the golf balls so it's really efficient. We had plenty of time to play several rounds of that game. Definitely take a look at their food menu because there's a lot of good stuff. I stink at golf, but man do I love this place. It is like a bowling alley, but instead is a driving range for golf. That is best way to explain it. It is such a fun thing to do and everyone there (well mostly everyone) is there to relax and get a couple of swings in. The beer and food is overpriced so I just stick to the beer if I really want one. You pay by the hour, so you technically have unlimited balls until that hour is up and then you can pay more for more time or just exit. First tip I will say get there early if you are going on the weekend. Unless you do not mind the 2 hour wait. I have heard that it as gone as high as 3 hours, but I can not confirm that, so take that for what it is. Now the food is different some good, so ok, and some really good. They have burgers sandwiches, tacos, nachos, pizza, and other foods. I have tried the breakfast burger (a burger with an egg on top), and this thing is HUGE so come hungry. Now the golfing is fun basically I would say it is bowling, mixed with darts, on a driving range. The game is fun and the area you sit is very comfortable, and if it is a hot day or a cold day outside. Top Golf has got you covered. The have fans or heat lamps at each bay. Also I was there this past Sunday, and it started to rain really hard, and we were still able to play with no fear of getting wet, or the game being effected in anyway.
