Visiting from Florida before an Allen American's Hockey Game. Lived here many years ago and Pluckers then the game was a tradition. The wings tonight were as good as ever. Way better than anything in Florida. Unfortunately, the service was horrid. To make it worse, we were seated near the Kitchen where you could see all of the servers gathered, yanking and totally ignoring their guests. Took eight minutes after we were seated to get anyone to come over and take our order. Others wanted to leave but I knew that the wings would be great. Just need a good manager! read more

I had their Honey Bbq burger. It was pretty good for place that specializes in chicken wings. My problem was all their rules and restrictions. Went there tonight, meeting teammates for a going away dinner. Apparently they won't seat you until everyone in your party arrives. Something I have always found lame, especially if most of your party is there. We were missing one person of 8 and they wouldn't seat us. Then everyone arrived and we were seated. I generally like to start with a drink so I went to the bar, which wasn't busy, and was told since we already had a table I could no longer order at the bar. I have never heard of any other place ever imposing such a rule. I didn't want to wait for my server but the lady at the bar quite rudely kept telling me 'that's company policy'. I had my debit card out and would've either kept tab open or closed it but the wouldn't even take my order. I ended up going back to my table drinkless and finally after a long wait got my drink order in, which was terrible. I ordered the simplest drink to make, a vodka tonic. Not sure how they messed that up but they did. Tonic water was low and seemed like it was cut with water. Couldn't taste the vodka and I had ordered it with Tito's but it could've very well been Smirnoff or Russian Standard because I couldn't taste it. Then there's the automatic 20% gratuity because of our party size. That I know they are not alone in doing but not everyone does that. I won't name names here but within a quarter mile there are at least 4 other places that do not have auto gratuity. Probably won't be coming back here. Our food was fine. Our waiter was atrocious. I realize that it was rather busy, but he didn't even come back to check in and see if we needed more water or anything. I had a single glass of water, fighting for my life against buffalo sauce. He came and took our drink order, took our food orders, and was there to give us our food almost thirty minutes after we ordered it. Everyone at our table was a bit mad. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. Our party of four arrived at 6:45 pm on a busy Friday, and while the waitlist was managed well--we were seated in 30 minutes--things quickly took a turn for the worse once we sat down. It took nearly 10 minutes for our server to take our drink orders, then our food showed up before any of the drinks arrived. During that period, there was a loud commotion when someone in the restaurant dropped a crate of beer glasses, which the staff later blamed for ongoing delays. We received our beers when we were already halfway through our meals, and they were completely flat. The waitress explained that the long wait and the poor quality were both due to the earlier incident. Our mocktail and soda refills also arrived late and only after we reminded the staff multiple times. Throughout the evening, the staff seemed overwhelmed and short on supplies like pint glasses, which led to a frustrating, disorganized atmosphere. The whole experience suggested that better management and training are badly needed. I would not return or recommend this restaurant, especially since there are plenty of other local places that serve better wings and beer for the same price. read more

Went to Pluckers wing bar in Allen Texas today and the food was great! The servers were fantastic! And my husband was really impressed with all of the sports that he got to watch on the many TVs there. I had a burger and it was great. It was cooked to perfection. And he had the wings as well as a friend of ours. She also ordered the macaroni and cheese and I tasted it and it was fantastic. And the dining experience was very nice. We loved the restaurant. Absolutely appalled, that my husband and i who were there for dinner with our teenage son, ordered my 2nd drink and he ordered his 3rd, killing time because our food and drinks were taking so long, got a lecture on their "cutoff policy." We "weren't being cuttoff yet but they just wanted us aware of the policy." Let me repeat I just ordered my 2nd drink (single tall,) wasn't even finished with my first and he ordered his 3rd. And we ordered one shot to celebrate the start vacation week off of work. 6:30 dinner time. Not loud, just out as a family. Trying not to complain over slow service. Two professional adults got a lecture in front of our teenage son like we were partying. A policy I 100% support being my daughter is a bar tender. It was so ill timed and completely ruined our night. So much so we will NOT Be back. And we've been plucker you club members for 15 years. (And i was willing to let go that 20 min after we ordered you informed us you were out of one of our entire meals and they had to order something else, and that we sat for 15 min without a glass of water, because times are tough right now and places are busy.) My wife ordered boneless and I got bone-in, and honestly neither of us were impressed. The fried Oreos appetizer was the best part of the meal, but that's not enough to make up for the main dishes falling flat. Pluckers keeps aggressively going down with service issues. This has to be a Management and absolutely a GM/RM issue. This is not only a waitress issue. Waited for 20 minutes for the waitress to come by. I went to the bar to order drinks for the table. Food comes out cold. Manager comes by to apologize and then proceeded to lecture me about ordering drinks. Ordered dessert which never showed up. Cancelled it. Wow. Last time I ever come back here. This place is awful. Back to back bad experiences culminating in our last visit not even being seated. Busy Saturday night so we expected a wait. We got on the waitlist, waited 30 minutes and then were told our table was ready. We arrived at the host stand to be seated, only to receive a text stating we were taken off the waitlist while waiting to be seated. We were then put back on the waitlist but at the end of the line. Love the food! The only thing I hate is the wait to get seated and wait to bring out our food. Last time we waited 40 mins to get our order. Updating post: last night we went to eat here. Party of 5 we waited about 20 mins then the waitress took our drink order pretty quick after sitting, it did take her almost 15 mins to take us our drinks THEN to top it off we ordered our food and it took them an hour. We were all HANGRY. Hubby and I shared an order of wings and they gave us the wrong flavor... we literally ate them because we did not want to wait a whole another hour to get the correct flavor. Long story short. Had a party of 12 we were told that the table was ready when all the people were there. We were seated at a table for 8 and were told that there were going to split up the group. I was in there drinks and dinner. And I over heard a hostess got fired for having a nose ring in during her shift. She worked her whole shift and after she was fired. A good manager would have warned the hostess about the nose ring and take it out or go home. That is a very unprofessional manager. Makes the company Pluckers look bad. That manager Brian at the Allen location should be fired. I am banning Pluckers. I hope people will follow me and do the same. Sorry that a great restaurant could do this. Definitely disappointed, love pluckers wings, the staff was friendly but we placed an order to-go as soon as we got the food our fries were completely cold and soggy, nothing was warm. our to-go plate/and bag was covered in sauce, and they gave us no napkins. It was a Friday evening so it was busy but we ordered a waited like half an hour for the food, which why I was confused as to why it was completely cold.
