Just hosted a 16 person event at this location for work for a group from 18/8 Fine Mens Salons to spoil our Stylists a bit and get them out of the Salon. Melissa coordinated the event with me over the last few weeks and was very detail oriented and anticipatory and patient while I sorted out the details. Her service was exceptional Our server for the event was Dalton and he was absolutely amazing. He was very organized, detail oriented and friendly. Poor guy, every time he dropped a beverage or food order we had about 10 more to put in so it was sontant back and forth. He still maintained his chipper attitude and was a true pleasure to work with. He really made our visit. I know groups our size are a alot of work but he made it look easy. My family comes here a lot because it is the closest location. But unfortunately, our last experience was unpleasant. We reserved our time and towards the end of our time, we only had a few balls left and we're about to leave. A manager, who had brown hair in a ponytail approaches us and throws the balls out. I was surprised at how much fun it was, when my son suggested this place to go shoot golf balls, figured it was just a driving range. We checked in & got up on the top tier. It was so much fun. It's a bit ridiculous that you can't request two bays side by side when your party exceeds 8 people. The only option you are given is a $400 party package that includes a $200 tab that you have to pay for whether you order enough food and drinks or not. Seems like more of a way to turn people away because you want your bays full, but you guys just lost 9 bills and returning customers. I guess we are going bowling tonight since every bowling alley in the US will accommodate large groups and let them have side by side lanes. read more

We had a reservation for Saturday at 10 for 2 bays for my sons 4th birthday party. We showed up a few minutes before 10 and they said they didn't have the bays ready. They said I guess we will have to open the third level for you guys as if it was us inconveniencing them. We waited 30 minutes for them to get it ready...whatever that means. Everyone was stressed out because we had a bunch of kids running around waiting to go golf. What is the point of a reservation, especially at a very slow time ( there were maybe 15 cars in the lot when we showed up), if they won't even have it ready. We also asked for kids clubs and left handed clubs that weren't given to us until 15 minutes into our time we were paying for. Terrible experience. We won't be back. read more

Really cool place. Food is generic pub food - the queso was really good as were the donut holes! The only crappy part about this is that sometimes your ball sensor doesn't work and it won't recognize when you made a shot into the hole. Really annoying that the usual wait time every night is 3-4 hours long. Never have I been where there is no wait time especially on weekends. They need to open more bays up quickly. Customer service is usually good here only had a couple bad experiences with the front desk. Apparently I can't hit at my full power? Just moved to this area a few months ago 8/2019 from Washington state and I always wanted to come here. I always went to the one In Portland OR since the food was always on point and service excellent. Unfortunately, the food here in Allen didn't have the same quality. I must have ordered all the wrong things because the 3 apps I ordered were just average. Almost fast food tasting. I got the quesadilla (bland), sweet potato tatter totts (okay) and jerk buffalo wings (not bad). I had the meanest heart burn that night at home. Only saving grace was that the service was top notch. Servers were always around, ready to attend to our needs the whole night. I'll got back eventually because of the service and I'm a golfer. Hopefully the other items are better. read more

Decided to come here and meet some friends on a rainy,windy Sunday! Meets expectations,older location not as good as the newer locations.After a storm, the course was flooded and balls slowed down which was a challenge for the kiddos. I have never been treated so poorly here until today. The server only came over once and then some other lady came over to tell us that we couldn't be there anymore because they have a rule you can't be there after 9 if you aren't 21..it was 10 and she said after 9. We got there at 9:30 so if that was the case they should of told us. Over the 4 years i've been going to this location this has never happened. We politely left but we were very confused so we looked up to see if that was actually a rule and it was for people under 18.. we are 20 years old and not once did they ask what are age was. The two bays next to us were people who clearly looked 16-17 and they didn't tell them. They only charged us for 30 minutes but I think we should've got a full refund for the inconvenience and the lady was very rude about it. So if you're under the age of 18 don't go after 9 because they will kick you out or actually don't go to this location at all because it sucks. What a great night. We celebrated our my brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-laws wedding here. It was part of the pre-wedding festivities and we had a great time. Emma and Garret were great. They were very nice and helpful. They even surprised the bride and groom with some donut holes with a note of Congratulations! Thank you to Isaac for the catering. The pulled pork sandwiches were yummy!! I got a little cocky beating my family in the first game but my husband had to show me that yes he is boss when he crushed me the second game. We had a great time visiting this location and all the serving staff were extremely friendly and so very helpful! We were located on the main level (?) when you walk in, and our group consisted of beginners. We still had a fun time whacking the balls off the second level, although we did not get a lot of points. There was a lower level with some limited video games in a small arcade area. The restrooms on the main level were clean, however, the bathroom downstairs were limited (?) to two individual unisex restrooms and were just a tad nasty. read more

Went TopGolf's new year's to bring in 2020. While this TopGolf in Allen is a good one, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR NEW YEAR! Expensive and the food was not good. I got the VIP pkg and when you play golf, finger food is what you want! They had cold mashed potatoes, very very bland beef patty and chicken (by a chef...hmm) Needlessly to say, we spent a lot of extra $$ to eat directly from their menu! OH, and their website stated for first come-first pick on your bay and stay for fireworks after midnight! What they actually did was prepicked the bays for you (until I complained to the right person) and then my fav.. 'fireworks'...get this...meant you get to WATCH downtowns fireworks on the TV!!! Most fun I've had in years. It's a blast. It may take a visit or two to work out all the nuances of "check in here" then "go here" then "go out there", but it's 100% worth it. I had a very rare, positive customer service experience which means I will skip the much closer Dallas Top Golf and drive farther to this one in Allen. I had the guy checking me in put $25 on my existing card. Then I asked him for an additional card with $25 to give to my Dad who was showing up later. Something got lost in translation and he ended up putting another $25 onto the my card. After clarifying I wanted a second card with $25, he tried to move $25 off my card and onto a second card, but that was easier said than done. He said, "I'm sorry this is taking so long. You're missing out on playing time. I'll leave the $50 on your card. Take this card with $25 on it and give it to your dad." I was shocked by that approach. Not that he slid over a $25 card, but that he took initiative to eliminate the problem, not to just "fix it." So many places are fixated on fixing problems - and it takes forever with all of our redundant security features - and completely ignore the bigger opportunity to make the problem go away all together. "Oh, you don't have a card to give your dad." That was the problem; not the duplicate $25 on my card. Solution? "Here, take this $25 card on the house." That eliminates the problem. They had the $50 I was going to give them anyways, so it's not like they were out some money. It was me, my dad, and my two brothers and I assure you we ate and drank enough that night to justify the $25 in comp'd balls. And furthermore, I still have plenty left on my card and guess what? It's the perfect hangout spot for friends and family - especially if none of you actually know how to play golf! The venue is absolutely gorgeous: 3 floors of driving bays that overlook the range, a bar with plenty of seating indoors, private rooms for events... pretty much everything. It costs $5 as a one-time fee to register as a Top Golf member so that you can play and keep track of your individual scores (each person would need their own card), but in reality, if you're just looking to shoot the shit like I am, you and all your friends can just take turns on your card. Each bay comes with a table and several bar stools or a set of sofas + table (I think it depends on what floor you're on), an artificial driving turf (complete with tees), a small bay where you can put your own clubs (if you're actually know how to golf...), and a spot where you can grab rented men's/women's clubs. To their credit, the rental clubs are actually in pretty decent shape. You won't go winning the PGA tour with them, but they'll do. Service is really attentive and is never out of earshot if you need drinks or food sent your way. During prime hours, the rate is $40/hour for a bay. But if you go in the mornings, it's only $20/hour, so it's really not terribly expensive. Seriously a great place to have a great time with friends. You can be as competitive or loose as you want. Top Golf is a pretty cool concept, and is a great place to go with a big group of people. It cost $40 per hour per bay, and it is best to have about 6 people to minimize the cost, and that is the maximum that can play on a bay. Lifetime membership is $5, and you can use your card at all the other Top Golf locations. Rentals are free, and don't worry if you aren't a golf pro...you will still have a blast. The best way to describe Top Golf is to imagine a driving range mixed with the idea of darts. Each ball has a tracker, and depending on which hole you get it into is the amount of points you will recieve. This location is very popular, and wait times on the weekends and beautiul days will be upwards to 3 hours. I really enjoy playing on the top because you are able to see the entire course, and the surrounding scenary. During the winter they do have heaters on outside, but if it is windy it will still be cold. Drinks and Food are pricey as well, but they do have great happy hour and weekly specials. read more

The facility is 5-star. The service is 1-star at best. We've gone to this location twice on Friday nights, including this past weekend. The first time, the weather was great and the place was packed. This time, it was rainy and cool with very few patrons. I love the TopGolf Dallas location - it's not as nice, but service is great. This location has a beautiful facility and terrible service. Our waitress literally stood for 15 minutes at the stall next to ours and PLAYED golf with her friends. Despite our attempts to get her attention and more drinks, she didn't seem interested in getting bigger bills or more tips. Then, as she brought our checks (again, after long delays), she blamed it being "windy" as to why we couldn't find her. REALLY? Especially when we saw you next to us and deliberately ignoring your tables?! Experience in the bar was only marginally better. We observed many of the waitstaff acting in an unprofessional manner and it took 10 minutes for any server to acknowledge us. Finally did get service, but again, not much attention. Prior service experience was about as bad. I want to love this place since it's so convenient to where we live, and the game itself is great. I just hate getting bad service and I think their management staff needs to address these shortcomings to get people to pay their prices and want to come back. read more

As far as facilities go, this place is better than the one in Dallas. Right now it's a total mess. We went here on a Saturday night (I know, what was I thinking?) and they told us it'd be a 2.5 to 3 hour wait. We decided to put our name down and go look around since we had never been to this one. After about 15 minutes we checked to see how the wait was before dropping out. They must have seen we were going to leave because they told us it was only going to be 45 minutes to an hour, which was not bad. They suggested we have a drink while we wait, and we took that suggestion. 45 minutes later, we asked how close we were and were told it would be at least 2 hours, but probably over 3. ... Maybe they are just understaffed and getting overrun by the masses of people coming to play at the new facility, but I really think they just lied. That gets you 1 star, my friends. read more

I recently discovered TopGolf and fell in love with it. The concept is great. I've made this place a Sunday tradition. The food not so great, and at times the wait it absurd (but understandable). I recently decided to introduce TopGolf to a close friend. We walked in with Starbucks and had to put our name down for the wait. A staff member, Sean, informed us that there are no outside drinks allowed. We waited right next to the entrance (literally.. ) to finish our drink. Next, Sean kindly asked us to step outside to finish our drinks or throw them in the trash (which he kindly pointed out) There was certainly a better way to handle this situation. I've worked in the service industry and this is no way to treat customers, especially new customers. I would compare this situation to finding hair in your food at a restaurant. This is such a weird place. Firstly, not for golfers.... ever. They charge 49 an hour plus 5 dollars per person or 26 for a half an hour. You get one ball at a time which drops down by you waving your golf club over a circled area. It takes forever to come out. This is either the most expensive driving range in the history of golf, or like I said... it is simply not for anyone who plays golf and thus knows better. The heaters are extremely annoying too... very hot. If you swing 10 times or more you will be sweating. You can order alcohol which is good, but when you are paying 50 dollars an hour, everything gets pricey and you feel rushed and on the clock. I will never go again. Like I said, for anyone who actually plays golf this place will be annoying. The additional star goes to the staff, who were nice. The kid who took us to our bay did a very poor job of explaining the game aspect of their system (on a computerized screen), which caused us some problems, but the other staff were nice and accommodating. read more
