We called Blake out again to which he set more traps, identified entry points around the outside of the house, and sealed everything up. He was kind, polite, and very knowledgeable. He showed us what he was doing and why. I personally love when I learn the "why". After sealing up the house, he came back 2 weeks later to check on the traps and see how things were going. Their service comes with a solid warranty and any new critters we encounter, just give them a call and they'll come out to check, diagnose, and fix. I received several responses mostly marketing their multi-month plans for rodent services and I responded to all. Of all the companies, only one stood out and that was DOA Pest control. Brian was the name of the representative I spoke with. When I explained my frustratingly ineffective efforts, he responded to me "Well let me give you some helpful pointers then". That phrase alone eased so much anxiety for me. Brian proceeded to have a text exchange with me where he patiently listened to my concerns and offered me both pointers on what I was doing wrong and tips to go about it a bit differently. So I heeded his advice, reset the traps and within 36 hours of this exchange *BAM* I caught the mouse. Cue Cece Peniston - Finally it has happened to me!(more like it has happened to that mouse) I want to be clear, I didn't actually hire this company, but DOA and Brian were absolutely essential to this outcome. I'd like to also point out that Brian was this helpful at after 9:00pm at night to a person who hadn't paid his company a dime. I am truly grateful for his patience and helpfulness. Hopefully, I won't need to contract his company in the future. But if I do, I will bypass all the other companies that spent their time trying to sell me a package I didn't need. They also lied about their guarantee and refused to give me my money back. When I called to cancel they kept transferring me and giving me the run around. After over an hour on the phone they said I could cancel but there would be a $200 cancelation fee for something I never agreed to. I refused to pay the fee and then they said it was too late in the day to cancel (4pm) and hung up on me. I had to call my bank to cancel my card and file a chargeback. They are also facing a class action lawsuit because of their deceptive sales tactics and blatant violation of contract law, which should give you an idea of what a scam they are. I highly suggest anyone dealing with their scam does the same thing I did, especially considering the FTC 3 day cool down rule which lets you cancel within 3 days of any home solicitation sale. When I brought this up to them the sales person tried to get off the phone and transfer me. Save yourself the headache and avoid Eco Shield like the plague.
