The service was pleasant and the food truck was good looking. They were seated outside Autumn Lake Winery as food service. We started with the garlic-parm fries to share. They were pretty good, but I was hoping they'd be a bit more garlic-y. My mom said that it was the perfect amount of garlic, though. They were served nice and hot and had two toothpicks to share. We were still hungry after eating the fries, however, and so we got the chicken quesadilla to share. It looked really appetizing, and tasted just as well. However, our only complaint was that there was way too much cheese. The cheese:chicken ratio was a bit off, so I think less cheese would have done the dish better. However, the flavor was solid, and the salsa was pretty damn good. The last thing I ate was just out of pure curiosity. The grilled trinity lamb rack was actually pretty good. The chef? owner? mentioned that it has won a #2 award in NJ for one of the best dishes. I was looking forward to the garlic confit, but it turned out it wasn't very much to my taste. The pita was a nice touch, but I think something more.. green? would have been a bit of a better pairing. The lamb was tender, cooked exactly how I asked, and wonderfully seasoned. It smelled amazing, and whenever I first got my food my mouth started to water. As a side note, we never felt like we were waiting too long for our food. With the rack of lamb, I did start to question how long I'd been waiting (but I understood since it wasn't like they were just cooking some fries), and as soon as I was about to message and say "hey whats up with the order?" they messaged me and said it was ready. If Top Shelf is at an event, I will order there rather than one of the other trucks. In all the years of ordering, I have never had something I was not happy with. Food is always delicious and is a step above other offerings. Wait times are contingent upon how hefty the crowd is that day. I always factor that in and it has not been a problem for me. read more

I was a vendor at WheatonArts for it's winter antique show. Placed an order by texting them, as recommended. The only acknowledgment I got was at what temperature I wanted my burger cooked. Was never notified when my order was ready, if it ever was or if they ran out. Ordered again on the second day of the show. I mentioned this to the gentleman when I went to get my food (I was notified this time) never got an acknowledgement, an apology. Nothing! But that they did run out of stuff. Wow. AMAZING and creative menu! I had the scallop sliders and the herbal sun peach tea. First off, the scallops were perfectly cooked and HUGE. Everything it was dressed with complimented it just right. The herbal sun tea was spot on as well and came with these mango pearls. The pearls gave this explosion of mango juice in your mouth. The fries were crispy and soft at the same time. The chef really has a craft for what she does! If you ever spot this truck, do yourself a favor and TRY IT!!! read more

Best Grilled Caesar!!!! We went to Valenzano Winery for their Winefest! And went to Top Shelf To get a bite to eat. WOW! The food is Amazing here! We had the Lamb Chops which were succulent! And The Scallop Sliders that we're absolutely delicious! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich sooo tasty and just the right amount of heat. And the Old Bay fries were crispy and flavorful! Took 30 minutes to get a burger. It was burnt to a crisp and the fries were cold. It would have been really tasty otherwise.

Was really excited to try this truck out at an event. The menu made it super hard to narrow down a choice but we decided on the bacon gouda burger. Took awhile for our order as there was a line and its made to order cuisine, so thats to be expected. How disappointed we were when we got the burger and the bun was just a basic no frills bun that looks like the cheap store brand thats getting ready to go bad(cracked and bit dry looking), the gouda was half melted and the bacon was wayyyyyy undercooked, like still oinking. On too of that I was expecting a good quality thick cut type bacon that is usually on gourmet burgers in most places. I was so disappointed and im not the one to send it back so in the trash our $10 burger went. Absolutely amazing! Let me start off by saying that her lamb is by far my absolutely favorite along with the filet and mustard cognac cream sauce! What food truck have you seen carry these menu items? Every winery and festival my family and I have visited it, Top Shelf never seems to disappoint. I love the fact that new menu items are added at each event. Even though we have our favorites the lamb will always be my absolutely weakness! I highly recommend Top Shelf for people of all ages!
