I had no issue scheduling the repair and the crew arrived at 8am as they were supposed to and immediately got to work. Oscar came out with the rest of the team and brought them up to speed with what needed to be done and Jonathan the foreman took over after that. As they had to come in and out of my house several times to access the roof they were always very courteous. And they invited me up on to the roof a couple of times during their work to make sure that I understood exactly what was happening and encouraged me to ask questions so that I could feel comfortable that everything was being done to my satisfaction. We are on the third floor of a walk up condo, and we have a private rooftop deck. We started…read moregetting leaks in the ceiling in two places in our kitchen, and called about a half a dozen places in and around the city to come out and assess. The proposals were all over the place. Some companies said it couldn't be done without ripping off the rooftop deck and repairing everything. Some companies said it wasn't the roof at all, it was condensation inside the house? Jeff at Rollin Contracting was way more honest and practical in his assessment. He pointed out where he suspected the two leaks were coming from, but said that you never really know until you rip up the roof and move the air conditioner and take a look. He told us that roof repair was tricky, that the guys who said we might have to replace the whole roof could be right. But he wouldn't start with that, he would start with the less expensive approach. Granted, there was the risk that if it didn't work, we would have wasted that money when they re-did the whole roof, but we decided to gamble on a $2000 repair rather than jump into the $12,000 repair of the whole roof. Rollin Contracting was the only one who was honest and open and gave us options. He was also the one who was most confident in where he thought the leaks were coming from. It has now been one month since they repaired both potential sources of the leak, and neither of the leaks have come back. And in case you haven't been paying attention, we've gotten absolutely drenched this May. Meaning there is no doubt in my mind that they successfully fixed the leaks. The contractors that came to do the work were great, they didn't even enter the house. I offered to let them come inside to get to the rooftop, and they said they preferred to just go up and over to keep our house clean. While taking up the wooden boards on the rooftop deck to do the roof repair, they accidentally broke one of the boards. They went to Home Depot and replaced the board that day. Not a big deal, and super quick to fix it. Also, at the last minute (after we had signed the contract), I realized that I had forgotten to ask them about the fireplace, which also occasionally drips water during bad storms. I asked Jeff if he would have his guys look at the chimney to see if they could identify the source of the potential leak and to let me know what his recommendations were to have that fixed as well. He went ahead and had his guys caulk it while they were up there without even charging us. I know that's probably not a huge expense, but it was still a nice gesture to just throw that in. So across the board it was a great experience. Would definitely work with these guys again and recommend them with confidence.

Please think twice before hiring this contractor - it will not be worth it if there are any uncertainties re: your project and they will say anything to get your job. We hired Jeff to perform some deck work for our three flat. Jeff quoted us $6K to replace certain posts and railings. One year later, additional work was clearly required because railings were loose and Jeff performed an additional $3K worth of work. At no time to Jeff represent himself as anything other than qualified to perform the work. Turns out he never even got a permit for the work. We were cited by the city for non-compliance shortly after his second round of work. He complied with fixing some of the issues identified. When he met with the inspector to review the work and confirm compliance, he essentially yelled, screamed, stormed off and refused to fix any of the additional work. We are now left with a deck that still needs work, $12K later. Jeff continues not to respond to emails/requests for him to finish his work. Jeff misrepresented his ability to do deck work according to city law and code. His unprofessionalism in resolving the issue that he created (he should have just said his people didnt do deck work maybe instead of doing a poor job and then getting upset when someone challenged him to do the work properly) was so disappointing. Do not work with this contractor.

It was quite an extensive amount of work that needed to be done. He immediately starting questioning my funding in front of the seller. It got so bad I had to say, We can discuss your financial concerns, but the seller doesn't need to be privy to this level of my business. We leave out and he seems ok again, just wanted to be sure I could get the funding. I'm like no problem can you put the bid in tonight. He says ok. I call him the next morning because the bid hasn't been submitted and he is like Oh I was really busy yesterday. Ill TRY to get to it by the end of the day. Again he did not, After a week goes by. I ask do you want this job... He says to be honest I would have passed if I knew it was all this work that needed to be done. At that point I was done. We no longer need to communicate. These projects were supposed to be completed within a maximum of one month. My spouse repeatedly asked the owner of this company to provide the final version of the contract for signature, but Mohammad kept delaying and avoiding this request with various excuses. According to the agreement, we were supposed to pay 30% of the contract amount at the start of the projects, and the remaining amount upon their completion. Unfortunately, due to an unfounded and mistaken trust in Mohammad, my spouse ended up paying him the full amount within a month -- even though, after seven months, the projects are still not finished and Mohammad is no longer answering our calls. He even failed to pay his workers, and we had to provide fruit, sweets, food, and lunch daily to Mohammad's workers for two months. Although my spouse has hired a skilled legal attorney and this matter is being pursued through the legal system, the stress and mental toll he has endured during this time is irreparable. Therefore, if you are considering a renovation or construction project in your home (painting, roofing, remodeling, finishing basement, retaining wall, etc.) , I strongly advise you not to consider this company or its owner. The most dishonest, incompetent, and disgraceful qualities a person can have are embodied in the character of this company's owner.

They were very sloppy got paint speckle's on my entire new floor and baseboards. Paint on my stairs leading to the outside and even on my driveway. Left the room with dust everywhere and did not move my furniture back as he said they do. Did not clean or prime the walls before painting them. I had a dust web on one wall corner and it was still there when they said they were finished painting. You can see roller marks on my ceiling and missed panting marks. Every appointment we had with him he either was hours late or did not show up. No phone calls and no shows. We have cameras in our house and they were standing on my $10,000 pool table and my speakers to paint. When I confronted both Haroon and the supervisor Gino all they said was "well was there any damage". After several attempts and missed appointments Haroon agreed to come back. Of course he was 8 hours late and all he said after I pointed out the horrible painting job is that he want to get past all of this and would repaint. 2 more appointments set up with him and no show and no calls. After 2 phones calls of calling the company Times Construction I left a message that I will be going to small claims court about this the supervisor Gino called and assured me that he will get this corrected or refund my money. Same scenario no show for appointments although he did call one time and said that the person that was to come got kick out of the place that she/he lived in and they could not make it. Wanted to set up another appointment on a day that my husband was having surgery. I explained I would need to call back to give them the time. Well I called gave the Ok to come and again no show no call. On top of all of this we have a TV on the wall and Haroon said that they are painting around it because no one can see behind the TV. What a joke. My husband took the TV off of the wall and told them to be careful as it was leaning against our couch. Haroon knocks the TV over and tells my sister " oh well they need a new TV anyways". They also only painted half of the room because they said that paneling cannot be painted. When we researched this and confronted him about it he said too much work. Our contract was for him to paint the paneling. I am now going to take them to small claims court. Beware!

Made it just in time before the holidays, thank goodness. We had a closer and significantly cheaper bid (basically 1/3 of this company's charge) but they were not available Wed the 19th, and with the holidays and weather changing...could not risk waiting. Wed was the last sunny 50s day and all went well. Customer service was good. Workers were on time and completed tasks appropriately. Dings on stars for 2 things... the install isn't as even and perfect as I prefer (the tops and flashing pipes are not straight and it looks like the shingles were not peeled back evenly and placed back over the pipes fully on the lower bottoms)... and the owner said he would send me a receipt when the check cleared. Usually receipts are given at time of payment. Seems strange and made me pause. Note... it's been a week, pretty sure the check has cleared. Hmm. No receipt yet. *\(^o^)/*
