Such a cute neighborhood spot with friendly staff! Always love their maple bars, raspberry glazed rings, and apple fritters.

We tried their limited time eggnog and peppermint donuts - they had the perfect amount of sweetness. Cakey donuts. Nice and moist. I also tried their London fog which was creamy and so good!

Fizzy Palmer with black tea and blended vanilla latte

Really cute spot to sit and read inside with a nice outdoor seating area. Even at 11am there was a decent selection of donuts. My favorite was the pink cake donut with sprinkles. I don't recommend the fizzy Palmer unless you like bitter drinks but the blended vanilla latte was delicious! A bit pricey for me but a great treat.

Amazing. Truly amazing. A masterpiece. Top pot is unlike any other doughnut place you will ever try, the fillings are the perfect thickness, texture, and sweetness, the bread is light, airy and sweet. All in all this is the best donut place I am yet to try.

I recently moved here and was looking for some good donuts. I was recommended to try these and I'm glad I did. They're so fresh and delicious. The staff is awesome and very friendly. I bought a few different donuts and enjoyed all of them. I really like the raspberry Bismarck and their cake donuts are actually really good and I usually don't like cake donuts. The Bavarian was good, but I wish they made a sugar raised one with custard, instead of the chocolate icing. I will definitely be returning here when I am wanting donuts. Try at your own risk, you will be addicted and will not regret it.

Boston cream donut raw on the bottom of the cream

I come here once in a while and the donuts are fine. However this time I got two boston cream donuts one for me and one for my sister. She took two bites and realized that the bottom part of the donuts were raw. I saved mine for the next day and took a bite and realized it was also raw. Had to eat around the uncooked dough. I

Revisited Top Pot in Wedgwood with The Homie (8/14/17). It's been awhile with the giant doughnut and palm trees along NE 35th. More famillies here than laptop campers. Noticed different swag, updated counter seating, ice cream, custom coffee roasts, cool stickers and postcards, the rest looking a little worn but familiar. 4pm Monday, the pastry case is nearly empty. We snagged the last two maple bars and a Bismarck (chocolate glazed, custard filled) plus a 2% milk from the chill case. By the time we leave, there's only a scattering of just apple fritters and quick bread slices. How do teenagers consume nearly two maple bars and milk after a late lunch on Capitol Hill? Anyways, decent detour and realized the kindergartener who loved Top Pot doughnuts and the monorail overhead at the downtown/5th Ave site, will soon be high school freshman in a few weeks.

We were recommended to Top Pot Doughnuts by our Airbnb hosts, so one day we decided to take a little break from our day and stop by. I am a huge sucker for cake doughnuts, and this place does them pretty well! We got the cookies and cream doughnut, as well as a latte. While there was no issue with the doughnut or coffee, the staff there seem relatively unhappy and impatient in dealing with customers. Overall, decent menu items, interesting doughnuts, but the customer service was a bit lacking, making it a pretty okay (3 star) experience in my opinion.

    Great patio!

Ask the Community - Top Pot Doughnuts

Is Top Pot on 35th in NE Sea. still open? Ive been calling for a couple of days to order 3 dozen donuts & it just rings forever, beeps twice, & hangs up on me. Online says open til 6pm. Guess I'll head elsewhere for this order.

Yes- they're still open. While I'm not sure why they're not answering their phone, I've found the customer service at this location to be lacking, which *may* explain it.

This place is great for people who have allergies or sensitivities since all donuts are egg free, dairy free, and nut free. They also have gluten-free donuts. Very inclusive shop! I got the Poptart - Poptart inspired doughnut with strawberry filling, vanilla icing, and streusel crumble. The strawberry filling has chunks of berries inside. I love how the doughnut is a chunky-looking rectangle very reminiscent of a poptart! Special- Raspberry filled- covered with a generous amount of powdered sugar on top and filled perfectly. And then a coffee doughnut which has coffee-flavored icing. The icing is very sweet and the sugar overpowers the coffee flavor. I think this shop is great for people who want the standard yeast doughnuts but without any allergens. It's not trying to be a fancy or high end doughnut shop with complex ingredients. We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I tried the passionfruit creme brulee donut, and though a bit pricey ($6), it was worth the money. The top of the donut had that perfect creme brulee torched top, and the passion fruit inside was perfectly tangy, which offset the fattiness from the donut itself. It wasn't very sweet, but I kinda liked that. The other flavors on the menu also looked great. I hear they rotate their menu often. There is nowhere to sit here, so be prepared to take your donuts to go. The shop does sell some beverages, like water or milk, to help you get in the donut mood. The service on my visit was fine.
