Display of delicious donuts
Ceci N.

This shop is so nice such a vibe. Right along the street and open windows from floor to ceiling it has 2 stories so you can get your coffee and donut and sit and relax on the second floor. The donuts are great the coffee is amazing both were amazing. I kept going back everyday. The staff was ok during interactions they did know their regulars though so that was nice.

Bavarian Cream Filled

Not sure why the low rating for this place?! Full disclosure, we're not locals. However, we make it a point to try the local donut shops everywhere we go. I personally had the chocolate Bavarian cream(Boston cream) and it was better than good!! Great dough, delicious chocolate frosting, and plenty of creamy delicious cream. Service was fast and friendly and good selection of donuts....what more can you ask for?!

Almost gluten free bisuit with jam (half eaten)

Had an unexpected stay at Swedish right by this location and was very happy to see this come up as an option. Such a great little shop, it is not very big however they laid it out well so it doesn't fewl cramped. I got an almost gluten free biscuit with jam and a mocha (made with ovaltine). I the biscuit was very good nice balance of tart from the jam and sweet of the biscuit. The mocha was very good, i have never had one made with ovaltine and am impressed at the taste. Bonus, it was topped of with a very pretty cream design. Both of the workers were very real and friendly. I know where I will be coming for coffee the next few mornings!

Inside of the glazed old fashioned. No "tang" from buttermilk, and missing the crispy and crunchy exterior.

I like to rate donut places based on the tried and true classics: a glazed old fashioned and a chocolate bar. I'm not sure if it's the Top Pot brand or just this location, but neither impressed me here. The glazes on both were standard & sweet, reminding me of a that on a typical mass produced donut. The old fashioned missed the mark as it lacked the crispy exterior, and the chocolate bar wasn't as fluffy as a good yeast donut should be. Overall, these were no better than a grocery store donut. I would recommend satisfying your sweet tooth elsewhere.

Very expensive stale donuts. Not impressed. Mom and pop shops are way better and way cheaper.

Favorite donuts of all time. I live in NYC and literally bought a dozen donuts to take with me back to nyc to share. The old fashioned are the best and I will forever love this place. The maple is my favorite but the strawberry is amazing as well... they are all so good. Get the old fashioned and try as many as you can!! Amazing!! This location isn't as busy as others I've seen. So should be quick in and out.

Nice selection

This was my first time actually going to a Top Pot as I usually have their donuts when someone brings them in at my work. Easy to find location off Madison and easy to get to from Swedish, I was glad to finally make in here. I showed up after lunch time so the selection wasn't as filled but they had what I like and wanted to no complaints here. I went with their maple bar and maple old fashioned. Both were really tasty and still pretty fresh. Service took some time as the staff seemed to only have one person working. Prices were higher side but I expected that being in downtown. I would for sure eat the donuts but not sure I would make a special trip out here unless I was in the area and had a hankering for fried dough goodness.

The Kings Ring - only once a year! (Thank goodness) its very very good.
S. Annette L.

They never disappoint! The donuts are always a hit with coworkers. Large, thick and delicious! The service is friendly and I appreciated when I mentioned I wanted to share my donut they didn't try to upsell me just because...plus they know I'll be back! Loved the king's ring but my go to's are the apple fritter, the Bavarian and a good old fashioned glazed....diet be damned.

Maple Stick (sans cream) - disappointing and deceptive

There were very few choices for donuts compared to the other locations I've been to. Up the selection, and I'd likely give a better rating.

This place is great for people who have allergies or sensitivities since all donuts are egg free, dairy free, and nut free. They also have gluten-free donuts. Very inclusive shop! I got the Poptart - Poptart inspired doughnut with strawberry filling, vanilla icing, and streusel crumble. The strawberry filling has chunks of berries inside. I love how the doughnut is a chunky-looking rectangle very reminiscent of a poptart! Special- Raspberry filled- covered with a generous amount of powdered sugar on top and filled perfectly. And then a coffee doughnut which has coffee-flavored icing. The icing is very sweet and the sugar overpowers the coffee flavor. I think this shop is great for people who want the standard yeast doughnuts but without any allergens. It's not trying to be a fancy or high end doughnut shop with complex ingredients. Mighty-O Donuts seems to be one of the few vegan donut shops that actually tries to make yeast…read moredonuts - most places are cake only. We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I tried the passionfruit creme brulee donut, and though a bit pricey ($6), it was worth the money. The top of the donut had that perfect creme brulee torched top, and the passion fruit inside was perfectly tangy, which offset the fattiness from the donut itself.
