It was easy to request an appointment, and to my surprise they had openings the following morning, so I registered for between 10 and 12. While walking my dog early the next morning, I received a phone call from John saying they could have a repair person at my home by 8. I told him that would be great and stepped up our pace a bit so we would be home by then. A couple of minutes after 8, repairman Sam showed up. He was cordial and explained what he wanted to do and asked me to show him to the inside unit. He immediately slipped on booties upon entering the house. He d started sleuthing the problem inside and out. In less than 10 minutes, he was showing me the control unit from inside the blower fan where a thermistor had failed. It is one I had replaced 9 years earlier after another visit from a One Hour tech. Sam had the history of our unit's repairs and noted that I had chosen to replace the electronic component myself and asked if I wanted to try it again. I told him I still had a bag of thermistors and would give it a shot. He said that was fine and if we were still having problems after my repair to give him a call. There was no high pressure push on his part to press me to have him do it. He even took a photo for me and offered advice on how to get the control unit back into the fan, since it is tricky and hard to reach. I thanked him, paid him for the service call and he was on his way. It took me much longer than it would have taken Sam, but I prevailed and a couple of hours later, we had cold air blowing in our home again. I have used One Hour since they were Olathe Heating and AC, and I have never been disappointed. When the time comes to replace this old unit, they will be my go-to guys. Highly recommended.

Not knowing anything about capacitors and trusting them, cost me a lot more than it should have…read more I trusted that I needed one to begin with, I did not! Then, I was charged over 900% markup on the part. My neighbor, an industrial electrician, tested my old one and it was fine. We priced the exact one the tech replaced, $20,00. Called and tried to work this out and was told I would get a return call from a svc manager. Followed up with an email, no response. Still no call. I can only assume they don't care about losing customers. I would never trust them going forward anyway. This part took less than 5 minutes to install and he was just doing a maintenance at the time. So, no, it wasn't a labor add on.

I highly recommend Town & Country Heating and Cooling Co…read more I noticed my AC was not blowing cold at about 10:30pm on Monday, September 28th. We were fortunate that the overnight temperature was in the lower 70's. I called T&C just after 8:00am the next morning (Tuesday, September 29th) and talked with Tara. She was very polite and personable. She was able to book an appointment for me for later on that morning (10:00am - 2:00pm). I was very pleasantly surprised that I could get an appointment that quick. The Service Technician (Ian) texted me when he was "on his way" and arrived around 11:00am. He evaluated the situation, performed some tests and determined that a capacitor had failed. He replaced the capacitor which corrected the problem. He thoroughly checked the entire system and cleaned the outside coil. He tested the performance of the cooling system and reviewed the results with me. He prepared a written report complete with pictures and graphs showing the test results and included in an email with a copy of the invoice. I chose to begin a Service Agreement which included a discount of the services completed on this and future visits. I was very satisfied with the entire process, especially the prompt response. The total cost was very reasonable in my opinion. If you need HVAC repairs or replacement, I suggest you call T&C and talk with Tara.

While that was good news, it would have been nice to learn that the previous night after I tried contacting them numerous times with absolutely NO response. Their reliance on AI is hideously misdirected. Town & Country has taken "people" out of their business. As a result, I was up most of the night weighing my options and deciding to reach out to another HVAC company around 8am. Then I saw the text from 7am. While relieved, I was incredibly annoyed. All new technologies are heavily sold by the businesses that deploy it without considering if it's appropriate for the customer. The objective is maximizing profits and the customers learn this too late. I'm confident this is the situation with Town & Country. They were "sold" the AI tech and it's ruining their business. I'm now waiting on a part for my HVAC and I'm not sure I'll stay with Town & Country and that's a shame. They have a lot of convincing to do. ============================================ 16 October 2026. We returned home this evening to discover the Bosch heat pump was providing NO heat, Town & Country touts emergency service but multiple attempts to get anyone to even phone me are futile. After spending almost $20K for an entire system a few years ago and bragging about great service, this outfit fell flat on its face.

This review is for Josh at Santa Fe Air heating and cooling, and for the company…read more Josh was on time, he was courteous, knowledgeable and most of all he was honest. Josh clearly reflects the company's philosophy for professionality and for integrity. After my AC stopped working, we spent two grueling days in a hot and humid house. Before I found Santa Fe, I called another company that seem to have great reviews based on Google business ratings, I later found that they are rated 2.5 stars on Yelp (don't trust Google for real reviews). The first company sent a technician out, who had a faulty meter and could not complete a full diagnostic, but, he said he was pretty sure the compressor needed replacing ($3000). Being that he did not do a full diagnostic, I turned the offer down. That night, after reading more reviews on local companies, I decided to schedule an appointment with Santa Fe Air heating and cooling, this was easily done on their web site. I did not have to wait long, at 0715 the next morning, Santa Fe called me to set up an appointment. In less than an hour one of their technician was at my house. Josh had me turn the AC unit on, and found that the unit was running properly, blowing plenty of cold air. The unit had been shut off since the previous company's visit, who had suggested to keep the unit turned off until the repair was completed. Josh asked me if the filter had been changed recently, as a dirty filter can cause the unit to lock, and that this had been mostly likely the problem. As a matter of fact, I had changed the filter the night before, after I realized that the filter was very dirty. The other company did not mention the filter as a possible cause, and rather had me incur an expensive repair. It has been 3 days since then and my AC is running great. I will be purchasing one of their maintenance plan for piece of mind. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Santa Fe Air heating and cooling. I am impressed with their integrity and values that are now days very hard to find. I will be calling them for all my HVAC needs.

On 12 January 2026, we noticed the house was cold when we woke up. After looking at our thermostat, I tried to change the batteries to see if it fixed the problem which it did not. We called Patriot at 10:06 am, explained our problem, and got on their list to send out a technician. Mike arrived at 11:00 am to check out system to determine the problem. I explained what we experienced with our heating system that morning and then he began his trouble shooting. After checking the furnace fault codes and operation, Mike came upstairs to look at the thermostat. He stated he needed to hardwire the thermostat to the system which he did in a few minutes. When the furnace turned on, Mike went downstairs to monitor fault codes on the furnace. He stated the codes cleared and that is all we needed for the fix. Our heating system has been working just fine since this repair. We always receive prompt service response from Patriot as well as service we trust when Mike has performed work in our home. We highly recommend Patriot HVAC.
