My A/C went out on a Friday afternoon and I didn't notice until Friday at 9pm, Envirotech had a tech out on my property within an hour and had cold air blowing. On top of that the universal fan that they had replaced my fan with was a little large and they came out and swapped that fan for the correct one, once the part came in at no additional cost. I have a seasonal contract to service my heating and AC units when appropriate. When the team came out to service my furnace, they noticed some issues I had also been aware of. The technician provided options and solutions and after speaking with the owner, James, we decided the best option was to replace the furnace. James offered a decent price and reviewed the furnaces we had available to choose from. The crew installing the furnace were very professional and did a great job with cleanup and providing us the instructions. I have used Envirotech for years for my HVAC so when my water heater started rusting I asked them if they could replace it. They said they could. I asked the guy to use the water heater spigot from the old water heater (I had replaced the original spigot with a brass ball valve) in the new heater. Usually I watch work being done in my house but, because of Covid, this time I gave the workers their distance. At the end of the job when I went to review what was done with the technician he had not replaced the spigot on the old water heater. He showed me how to use a screw driver to open the spigot on the new heater. It was a brass spigot so I thought: "This should be OK." Not so much. I am 74 years old. I have to go find my reading glasses to see the slot to use the screw driver every month when I drain out a couple of buckets of water and sediment. If I could get a handle that would fit the thing it would be OK -- but apparently there is no such thing. Yesterday an Envirotech person called to ask how the job went. I told her the new heater is working fine. Then I thought about it and called her back today to explain that I am not happy with the whole reading-glasses-to-drain-a-bucket-of-water thing. I paid $1800 for a new water heater that is a pain in the butt every month. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and when she came back she told me that she talked to the technician and he said he had explained to me that he could not use the brass ball valve from the old heater. Nope! He did not. If he had I would have asked him to use a new valve with a handle. So she argued with me about it. "Well, he said he did." What did she expect him to say? She said that if they sent someone out to look at it and see if they could replace the spigot it would cost a $127 trip charge. So, why did she even call me yesterday if they really don't care whether or not I am satisfied with the work? read more

Well, where do I start to tell you how great Envirotech Heating and Cooling are. They have been coming to my home since early 90's and what a great company, starting with the lady that answers the phone. Over the years I have had different techs from Envirotech visit my home all of which were very good. Then Matt C came to visit to do my Spring/Winter service and from then on my husband and I requested Matt. He walked into our home and was very caring, polite and was very interested in our air/furnace working well for us. Matt spent quite a long time looking at the equipment and that told me he was checking everything. Went to turn on my heat on a very chilly Saturday, and it wouldn't kick on. Called Envirotech, left a message for the tech on duty for emergencies, and Evan returned my call almost immediately. Came out in a very timely matter, and worked tirelessly to figure out the problem, and get it up and running. Plus they didn't price gouge me for an emergency call as some other companies do. Guy showed up based on what we told him over the phone. Came over and said the part was 300+ before he even looked at our problem. Charged 70 + bucks for just coming out. The company could have given this information over the phone after all we have paid for their system. This time last year they came out, worked on our heater, said it was fine. We went out of town, came back home to burst pipes. So done with this place! Update...my husband just got the part for 20 dollars! !# Used a different company. It was the control panel. Something that should have been covered under warranty and fixed last year before our pipes bust. Fixed entire problem for 350. I've used them several times in the past to fix our furnace and AC, because they were both old and needed fixing on a pretty regular basis. They've always been honest and reliable. This time when our AC needed fixing, it was going to be a major repair costing a lot of money. So after talking with the tech for quite a while (and he was patient, full of knowledge, and willing to share that knowledge), my wife and I decided to replace them altogether. That was on a Wednesday. Despite being booked 2 weeks out, he squeezed us in on Saturday. He showed up at 8, as promised. Then another technician showed up shortly after that. Eventually a third guy showed up to ensure the job was done as quickly as possible. About 4:00 we finally had air again (ahhh, sweet relief). They finished up a few odds and ends to complete the job, cleaned up the mess they had made, showed us our new toys and how they worked, taught us how to use our new thermostat, wished us well and were on their way. As with their past visits to our house, they were always friendly, pleasant, and very good at explaining what the problem is and what our options are to make that problem go away. I've always really liked these guys and I'll continue to use them in the future, although those visits will be a lot less now that our old junkers have been replaced. This time, the guy's name was Evan. He showed up Wed. night when our AC first went out and was here first thing Saturday. Patrick showed up with him Saturday. I never even saw the third guy who showed up. He came, did his work, then disappeared. He was the Batman of HVAC techs. read more
