I do feel as though if you are having trouble navigating the complex them giving the client a heads up so they know you are there and that you are trying to find the place could have saved some time. They had an employee who would come to the job site in a crop top and exposing leggings who would do a half job. Text messages would go unanswered and phone calls ignored. I was sent a confirmation of our service for the week and when no one showed they respond hours later that they were no longer servicing. I am in my 70s and recovering from rotator cuff surgery so couldn't clean the house myself. I made this appt 1MONTH IN ADVANCE because I had people coming to my house the day after the cleaning. My cleaning was a 2pm The day of the cleaning I received a phone message at 11:58am that the cleaning crew would be 30 minutes late as they were short staffed. I called them at 2pm and asked if they were still going to come at 2:30. They responded they were short staffed and would be here closer to 3 pm. I called at 3pm and asked if they were on target to come clean my house soon. Again, I was told they were short staffed and they were "on their way now" and would be there a little after 4pm. At 5:30 pm I received a call but missed it because I was upstairs cleaning a bathroom myself. At 6 pm I called the company again and was told they had a horrible day because of being short staffed and were just trying to take care of their clients. I thought I was a client. They stated the crew "was just down the street and would be there shortly". I responded by telling them they were fired. I spent the rest of the evening cleaning my house for my guests the next day at great pain to my shoulder. I understand things happen. I am sorry they were short staffed. I tried to be accommodating. But they didn't bother to call me for over 5 hours with a status update. And the status updates I got when I called were promises they didn't intent to keep. That is unforgiveable and unprofessional. They should have kept me in constant update mode so we could have made adjustments (next day? etc) but no....I felt they were just blowing me off. To add insult to injury. My husband and I had paid tickets to an event that night. Because of their lack of updates and no phone calls until too late, I had to cancel my attendance at great cost to me and my husband went alone while I cleaned my house. So I had to do the work and I lost money in the long run. This company may be good cleaners but they are unprofessional and do not care about their clients. I am now looking for a new company to clean my house while I heal from my surgery.

I rented a Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machine 3 times in the past 18 months. Each time, I've also…read morebought the Rug Doctor "oxy-steam carpet cleaner", to a cost of $50+ poorer each time, and that is if I've returned the rental in the 24hr time-frame. My self-cleaning process has gone something like this: go to the grocery store, wait in a line, pay for a rental, roll a machine to my car in the parking lot. Load it in the trunk, unload it at home, find lots of hair leftover in the machine, clean it out first, yuck. Put the cleaning solution in, add the hot water, and get wet! Seriously, I'd fill the reservoir with hot water and solution, while spilling some of the mixture on my clothes or feet or both. Roll the machine with some number of gallons of cleaning solution to the offending carpet. Turn on the machine and prepare for vibration city. 2 minutes later, the cleaning solution is gone. Repeat the steps starting at filling reservoir, getting wet, then restarting the cleaning where I left off. Maybe I'd finish a room with solution left over, and when that has happened, I'd then decided I should keep up the process with another room; after all, I rented the machine for 24 hours, so I may as well maximize my rental. Repeat, repeat, but oops, the cleaning solution runs out. Then during the next afternoon, I can still feel dampness in the 'cleaned' carpet, and I'm saying to myself, "oh shoot, I've got to get that machine returned before the 24hr time runs out". Which usually means an extra errand stop for the day. Late Monday afternoon I realized I needed to clean the carpets in two bedrooms, and for one of the bedrooms, I had need to get it cleaned before Thursday. I contacted Wes at Five Step Carpet Care, asking if they had any openings on Tuesday or Wednesday. I heard back from Wes via email, then by phone, within the hour. This company fit me in the next day (Tuesday). They arrived at the earlier part of what they committed to. Before they started the cleaning process, I was given a business card describing their 5-step system, and was even more pleased when I learned they use non-toxic and biodegradable chemicals. The two bedrooms, (which were cleared of most furniture), along with a strip of carpet in another bedroom that I requested after they arrived, took only around 30 - 40 minutes, and only cost me a few dollars more than my DIY sub-standard process. By the end of the day, the cleaned carpet was not looking soiled anymore, and it was dry. I never had this kind of result with a DIY process. Plus no worries with logistics for picking up, dropping off, buying chemicals, or making a mess of myself.
