They seem to have little to no understanding of customer satisfaction and appear to thrive on selling cars with preexisting issues. When you contact them to address these problems, it becomes clear that their true intent is to profit from your misfortune. They are well-versed in their legal rights and clearly know how to exploit them, walking the fine line of what they can get away with. Promises made during the sale quickly turn out to be empty, leaving you feeling deceived and powerless. The behavior of the individuals I dealt with, specifically H**di and Jo*, was deeply unprofessional and outright disrespectful. Instead of addressing concerns, they resorted to projecting their insecurities onto me as a customer--calling themselves "pieces of sh*t," hanging up mid-conversation, and even handing the phone to other "customers" to insult me. There's also a potential violation of two-party consent laws, as they may have recorded conversations without my knowledge or agreement. They later attempted to use these recordings as a form of intimidation, which is completely unacceptable. (The last statement is alleged, but I do know that they decided to let to me know, mid-conversation, that they are recording our conversation. And you think this is an internal system....it's not. It was done on a personal cell phone). This business epitomizes every negative stereotype about "used car salesmen." If there were a negative star rating, this dealership would deserve it. They prey on customers, overcharge for their products, and deliver some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and financial loss. Take your business elsewhere.

Seemed to be in good condition (by auto Industry standards = body needs work but FREE FROM MAJOR MECHANICAL ISSUES)... Drove it, liked it and began to look at some things. The only thing we noticed was that there was a pretty good "shake" in the steering and it could have been from a missing stabilizer link. "Oh yeah, we'll have our mechanic look at everything..." May 1, 2019: Came back, looked at the truck again and drove it... "Shake" in the steering was gone an every thing seemed like it would be a good "buy". May 6: Broken rear leaf spring shackle and the fuel lines "are rusted so bad they are hemorrhaging fuel" (master tech at Chevy dealer)... $1700 in repairs... 6 days old... Called them to report what is going on with my son's truck and all I got was: "I wouldn't take any word from any mechanic at any dealership. If you wanna bring it to my guy...". YOUR GUY MISSED A COMPLETELY RUSTED THRU LEAF SPRING SHACKLE AND FUEL LINES THAT ARE LEAKING!!! I decided to stop by and look at the cars they had for sale, but I had a really tight budget, so hard to work around. Ray, the owner, walked me through a couple of the options they had remotely close to my price range, and one of them was a new acquisition that they had just got in. Ray was honest with me and told me he would not sell me that car before he made sure it was completely safe. He went above and beyond to fix everything that car needed fixed in the least amount of time possible, and even more, and he showed me all the receipts for everything. I cannot say how much I appreciate everything he has done for me. I just got into the country, I work as an intern at a local business, and I really needed a safe car to get around. He gave me an amazing deal and the opportunity to work with my payments, because he understood my situation, and took a huge leap of faith with me. I can't recommend this business enough. Rather you need your car detailed, or you need a new car, make sure you come by his store.

Top-Notch Auto Brokers - Driveway stained from transmission fluid

Christi…read moreand Mike were helpful and low-pressure, and even agreed to split the cost of a windshield repair, which felt fair. My son loved his car and we felt confident with him driving it --until a serious failure occurred less than 3 months later. Last Thursday, while driving, it suddenly began leaking transmission fluid and became undrivable--an extremely dangerous situation for a new driver. Not to mention how lucky we are that it did not destroy transmission. We had it towed that night. After sitting through Memorial Day weekend, our mechanic checked it first thing Tuesday morning. The cause? A hose had been knocked loose from the radiator, causing transmission fluid to drain. Why? Because the battery was sliding freely in the engine bay, secured only with a black elastic cord and hook. We missed this during our own inspection--but I'm shocked that Top Notch's mechanics also missed it. Whether it was rigged by the previous owner or overlooked by their team, it should never have passed any kind of safety inspection. This wasn't wear and tear--it was a clear hazard. As a result, we were left with: * A $417 repair bill * A stained driveway requiring $189 in cleaning/sealing (we had it redone last summer) * Towing fees * A teenager without transportation for the last week of school and his 17th birthday Mistakes happen--I understand that. But what's worse than the issue itself was the lack of accountability and follow-through from Top Notch. I reached out right away. I was told a manager would call me--no one did. I followed up again and eventually spoke to Edgar. He was polite but questioned if our mechanic might've caused the issue, which made no sense. I shared a photo my son had taken before the car was towed--clearly showing the battery unsecured and transmission fluid all over the engine. I also sent the invoice and explained everything. Edgar said he has his daughter's graduation party and would get back in the am after speaking with the owner. That was the last I heard. No call. No follow-up. No accountability. Bottom line: this could have ended much worse. We're lucky it didn't. But now we're left with repair bills, property damage, and lingering concern about what else might've been overlooked. A dealership that presents itself as "Top Notch" didn't take responsibility or even follow through on a promised callback. We were easy, straightforward buyers who paid cash. I even left them a great review. But when a serious safety issue came up--one that put a new driver at risk--they disappeared. I recommend looking elsewhere. The car might look great on the lot, but better hope nothing goes wrong as they won't make it right.

Buyer Beware: My Experience with Bold Motors in Illinois…read more I recently purchased a vehicle from Bold Motors in Illinois for my son, who is attending college and needed reliable transportation. Since he had to take out a loan to afford the car, we were especially cautious. The salesperson--who I believe is also the owner--assured us that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and was in excellent condition. However, shortly after taking delivery, we ran a routine check for any open recalls. When we brought the car to a certified Ford dealership for the necessary recall work, the mechanics informed us that both the engine and transmission were on the verge of failure and would require extensive repairs. I immediately contacted Bold Motors to discuss the situation. A woman named Sara answered the phone. After I explained what the Ford mechanics had found, she told me I'd need to speak directly with the owner. When I asked to leave my name and number, she abruptly hung up on me. Shortly afterward, I received a text message from her that read: "Unfortunately we can't help you, it will be better if you call your lawyer so he can talk to the owners. Thank you." This response was both shocking and deeply frustrating. The complete lack of accountability and professionalism was unacceptable--especially considering we made this purchase in good faith based on their verbal assurances. My sincere advice to anyone considering doing business with Bold Motors is to think twice. The last thing any parent--or anyone--needs is to be saddled with a costly, unsafe vehicle and a dealership unwilling to stand behind its word.

Tracy is the owner and he wasted two days of my time by telling me the car in question had no defects known to him. It had clean Carfax and was in "great running order." One check with my own OBD2 (diagnostic scanner) brought up so many issues I actually lost count. He claimed he didn't know anything about it. He just knew the engine light didn't come on so he thought it was fine. One simple test with a $25 diagnostic tool brought up a truckload of issues but he was going to sell the car without issue because the check engine light wasn't on. Do not waste your time here. They will sell you trash without batting an eyelash.
