I went here yesterday for a "gel dip" manicure and it was the worst job I have ever had done. The woman who did them was very rough with everything she did, I kept wincing and even told her she was hurting me and it didn't seem to phase her. I thought I was just being sensitive but when I left I noticed she had cut EVERY ONE OF MY FINGERS with the dremel tool. My fingers tips are still throbbing. Aside from that, they look awful and feel grainy. When I left they were covered in purple sticky stuff. I asked about it and she said it would come off in the shower. I have been going to Top Nails for 10 years and I've yet to find a place I like better. Back in the day, when I used to get acrylics, they did a great job -- not too thick, nice shape, long-lasting. Since growing out my own nails, I love to come in for a quick, amazing mani or pedi (LOVE those massage chairs!). Everything is clean, the folks are friendly, HUGE polish selection (mostly OPI), prices are reasonable, and your polish will last ages if you take care of it. I went here for my wedding mani/pedi with a total of 6 of us (w/ a reservation) on a Wednesday night. We all had a tech working on our service at the same time! To accommodate such a large group was great. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that the atmosphere is a little lacking in the "spa" atmosphere. This isn't the kind of place you go to relax, but if you want a great mani or pedi, this is your place! read more

If I could give a rating of less than zero I would. The women in here are RUDE and nasty spirited. When you express an issue with your nails they get an attitude. Today I went to get my nails done and I showed her a pic and asked if she could do the design. She said yes but when she started to put on the wrong color and I asked a simple question she started removing all of my nails and refused to serve me. The owner then came and took her side - claiming 'everytime you come you have a problem or aren't happy'. Only two times have I had an issue - 2 - in over 5 years!!!! Refusing to serve me is uncalled for. If you can't do nails a certain way - then say that!!!!!!! Don't refuse me service or the option to choose a different color. When I walked out and spoke to another lady about then - she said they are rude so she wouldn't go there anymore either. Between Top Nails and VN nails - if you REALLY want your nails done nice and expect true customer service - don't go to either one. Paint your own or go to Walmart and get your own and glue them on. Ummmm very hard to write about place. First I love that it doesnt take 2 hours for my fingernails. But the inconsistency of my nails by different techs is really bad. I have had thin nails thick nails crooked nails to nails that have little digits underneath. When removing old solar nails there was no reluctance to the pain of them being ripped off. Reminded myself if I return and need nails replaced I will remove my own. I walked in one day to older gentlemen sleeping and no one else around, went to leave and was confronted by employee out front smoking a cigarette. Not cool. The older gentlemen is nice, jumps in when needed and will have him sand off nails to prepare them for a balance. Though he has no idea how painful it is sometimes when you sand too fast or too much. Every employee that works here, speaks English but will speak in another language when customers are around. This is very rude to say the least, condescending to customers and does not give customers a good feeling. As far as cleanliness- not sure if it exists but if your touching door knobs and shopping carts and eating without washing your hands you have nothing to worry about. read more

This place was only chosen because it could accommodate 3 women in need of manicures and pedicures at 7:15pm on a Thursday night. I was impressed with how top notch the massage chairs were. Not only did it massage every square inch of my back but my buttocks as well. It's like the third best feeling in the world. Yes I like butt massages, so what. The salon is clean and they seem to practice health regulations i.e. wearing masks and latex gloves. My only gripe would be that my pedicure felt rushed. When I spend $28 on a spa pedicure I want to feel relaxed and pampered. It reminded me of the time my friend went to Mexico and got a hooker. All he wanted was some light kissing to get in the mood but the hooker kept saying "no kiss, I no want you fall in love wit me". I'm sorry, but I can't get down with a place that charges $40.00 for a pedicure and I walk out bleeding. I don't usually go to these types of places (strip mall places), but it's where my friend chose, so I went. It just felt like they were trying to get us finished as soon as possible. My technician, and I don't even know his name since he didn't bother to tell me, was very rough and aggressive with my foot. He was cutting the cuticles and just pulling the skin, so very hard. I ended up bleeding, and ladies, I am not a sensitive person at all. But it hurt a lot and he didn't seem to care about the blood. Just went on about his business. He was just... mean in general, his overall vibe. Took a cell phone call in the middle of the service... So, no. I won't be going back. For $40.00, I could have gone to my favorite spa, where the workers do things like energy work and realize this just might be the only bright spot in someone's day. When I get the bill, I don't leave a tip. The lady who rang me up, looks at me as if I'm just being cheap, bleeding toe and all. She goes over to the guy and they start speaking in whatever language, and I know they're thinking "oh she's so cheap!" Um... no. I'm not. This is the absolute worst nail place I've been to. I went there soley to have my nails soaked off around 5:30. They were busy and asked me to come back in a couple of hrs which was no big deal since I was a walk in. I called at 7:15 to make sure they were able to soak them of. After getting there and waiting 45 min. The male nail tech told me he'd have to cut my nails totally down and not just remove the acrylic. He also said that was best since I was getting them done again in a couple of days. I didn't understand why but said no big deal. He then awkwardly cuts the all the nails on my left hand down and begins to use a nail tip to pop my nails off. I told him it was very painful and that I came to have them soaked off. He said that would take 45 min and the nails were coming off asy. They definitely weren't coming off easy, as my nails are still throbbing from him prying them off. After telling him I could stick something under them myself and take them off at home he immediately got up and said okay I could do that. This was very disappointing because now I have 4 fingernails removed that are cut very weird and painful and the other hand has partially removed gel polish. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone!! I should have gone with my gut based on other reviews but figured I'd give them a try since they were just supposed to soak them off. read more

Although they don't have the greatest reviews I wanted to give them a try for convenience purposes. HUGH MISTAKE! So the first time I went, I waited for over an hour. 3 techs all busy with other customers. I was patient, I didn't have an appointment so I was fine with the wait. when I finally got to get my nails filled Sophie did them. I really like her technique, and my fill lasted 2 1/2 weeks. I could have possibly gone three. She told me to come back, and she had the nerve to tell me the last place I went to the design was ugly!!! who does that??? But I honestly wasn't offended truth be told I got plenty of compliments on the nails she described as ugly, but received ZERO compliments from her work...ijs! I don't like to overdue it so I only get designs on my ring fingers. The right nail was pretty, the left....not so much:( Lets fast forward to visit #2. So I had my 4 year old son w/ me and I usually don't take my boys for obvious reasons, but I broke a nail playing basketball w/ my toddler (the mommy life w/ 3 little boys), and I wanted to get it fixed before I went to work on the night shift. So I pop in and ask (Ryan I believe) if there is a wait. He said: "No wait, they just in back". So I brought my son in & 30 minutes later I'm still waiting. So I go to Ryan and ask if he knew how much longer it would be before Sophie was available. First he ignored me. Then I guess he was uncomfortable w/ me just awkwardly standing there. So he finally says w/ an attitude "she on phone" then he shrugs makes this disgusted face like I'm inconveniencing him, and then he gets back to work. So my son and I left and I had to go to work missing a nail. Although I asked if there was a wait time. If he would have told me initially there was a wait I would have went somewhere else, and still made them my go to shop...But never again!!!! BTW, I wouldn't get my feet done there! On my first trip there the pedicure tool was dropped on the floor the guy picked it up and just continued cleaning the ladies feet. He left went to the back came back and kept the same gloves on. I moved into the area a year ago. I get my nails done every two weeks, pedicures too. I tried this place first and wasn't to impressed. The workmanship was alright but I felt rushed and shuffled around. The next two months I tried all the other places around the area.....nothing to review....So, I gave them another try. I will never return! I got a manicure and pedicure I was not happy with the results. My manicure - tips we're not secured correctly to my natural nails. They completed my manicure and pedicure at the same time which made it feel very rushed it was awkward reaching over to the manicurist to complete my manicure while they were giving me a pedicure at the same time. My pedicure - they did not coat with polish completely. For both my manicure and pedicure they did not remove all of the cuticles as i have experienced in the past. Once complete it did not look polished. They charged me more than quoted which would have been fine if they would have done a great job.... but they did not. Ugh, I have been going to Top Nails for more than 10 years and now I will not. Since the new ownership, it has been HORRIBLE. My sister and I went in there for pedicures and there was no one there except three nail techs on their phones on the pedicure chairs. We were greeted and were sat on the pedicure chairs. The two techs assigned to us didn't even ask us which type of pedicure we wanted and went straight to work. The whole time the two techs talked amongst themselves in their own language while the third tech was in the waiting area watching videos on his phone out loud. The nail job was simply horrible. I asked for three coats and the color was not opaque. I got a bright red nail color and could still see my bare nail below the color on some of the toes. My calluses were not even dealt with as the service I used to receive with the previous owners from Top Nails. The callus remover device that they use was so dull that it felt like a worn down scrubber rubbing against the bottom of my feet. I started few minutes after my sister yet I finished way before her and when she was getting her top coat applied, I was already drying my toes. We spent $60 to receive a horrible pedicure between the two of us. I was better off doing my own pedicure at my own house had I known this was what I was getting for $30. I was just glad that I didn't choose to select the deluxe pedicure, which I always do! read more

This was the most aggressive pedicure I have received - not in a good way as my feet aren't soft like they usually are post pedicure. The place smelled very toxic and things seemed dirty the longer I sat in the salon. It took me forever to find my nail polish color because ALL the names were worn off the bottom. Everything was covered in dust. I question the sterilization of the tools used. The nail tech was aggressive with my pedicure - it was more painful then relaxing. I would literally give less than one star if possible. I went in on my lunch break because I had had the same manicure for about a week and a half and it was looking pretty tired. When I left, my nails looked WORSE than they did when I came in. I mean, honestly, it looked like I had let my four year old niece paint my nails. I also specifically asked that they cut my nails down a bit and they did not. At one point, I reminded the technician, but he just nodded and proceeded with what we was doing. I do not think he could understand me, which, I don't have a huge problem with except for the fact that it resulted in me not getting what I wanted. Manicures here are relatively pricey ($18), so to walk out and immediately remove the polish is a huge waste of time and money, but I was mortified to go back to work with my nails looking like they did - lumpy and with polish all over my fingers. I am also not convinced that this place is hygienic at all. The technician just used tools that had been sitting out on the desk when I walked in. This doesn't necessarily mean they hadn't been sterilized, but I am willing to bet that they had not. Will not be going back, which is a shame, since it is extremely close to my office. read more

A friend and I went in for pedicures, which were nicely done, on time. My complaint however, is about the way they conduct their business. I've been to this nail salon once before and was satisfied. So with that in mind, I decided to go back. Our pedicures were done well. My complaint is with the eyebrow lady. Yes she is very sweet but I was left waiting for not exaggerating 15-20 mins for her to GET BACK FROM SHOPPING NEXT DOOR is what I was told! Are you kidding? Then when she returned with a full bag of clothes and a half hearted apology, I wasn't happy. When my bill came to $51 (for pedicure AND eyebrows) i smugly said 'I have to pay for the eyebrow wax with waiting that long?' And they did not adjust it and MADE me pay the TOTAL amount. Horrible service! The nail tech didn't even speak to me while doing my mani/pedi. He also trimmed all of my nails super short... Without asking! At one point he called a friend on the phone and spoke to them while doing my manicure! He also retrieved a wrapper for a pair of nail clippers out of the trash and then put the clippers back in the wrapper and place them in his drawer for the next customer. Germs galore!
