Gel French manicure with glitter polish.

I love this place. The owner her name is Lynn. She is amazing!! She always gives me the best pedicure. She also is great with eyebrow waxing and shaping. They also have a punchcard so the more you go you can get a free service. I did gel pedicure. She added the glitter, and said it would look really nice. I was hesitant at first, but look at the sparkle in the sunlight!!!

You can see the blue polish I had on my nails and also the red/pink polish residue on the nail file. Definitely not from my polish.

Along with nail files, anything that's porous -- wooden tools, orange sticks, pumice stones, or buffers -- can harbor and breed bacteria, so they should always be new, as well. These used tools MUST be thrown away after every use!! With that being said, please take a look at the nail file the tech used on my nails (I noticed this after she filed my nails). It clearly has residue from a pink/red polish and my polish was baby blue!!! So you're telling me you used a used nail file !!???????!!! If they reuse nail files, what else do they reuse and just how sanitary is this place. Distrusting and disgusting. First and last time here. My manicure was decent and they have a ton of colors to choose from, but that dirty used nail file outweighed everything else.

When I first came to get my nails done which was a terrible experience. I showed her this picture of the style I wanted all through out the process and still this is what she came up with. I wrote a review the owner contacted me and asked me to come back to fix my nails in exchange to take my review down. I went back asked for the same style and the tech just repeatedly kept asking what color I wanted even though the picture was right in front of her. So I gave up and got the sparkle color. Finally, nails weren't an ugly color and were no longer hard as rocks they were natural and soft. But! 10 days later two!!! Of my nails broke off. Contacted the shop the owner tells me, "well, that's almost two weeks so that's about right." 10 days isn't two weeks and I've had manicures that's even lasted way longer than just two weeks without my nails breaking off. I would say come here for just a pedicure but they can't even do that right either. I barley got a scrub. She just clipped my nails through on some lotion and left me with a bumpy looking nail color. Paid $55 for bullshit don't come here unless you like the feeling of disappointment. P.S. the opener wrote a response apparently he can't read because not just my polish came off!! Two of my nails came off!!!! Which is different ! And by the way I should heave gotten everything free for harassment and crappy service not some complementary $15 gel manicure. If the tech would have done a good job to being with we wouldn't be in the situation.

First of all we were there for like three hours to get a Mani and Pedi, way too long. On top of that the owner tried to charge us extra and the employee had to come and correct her and let her know that she was overcharging us. They only have one girl who can do acrylics. It seemed as though every employee didn't know what they were doing they had to ask the girl who does acrylics what to do for everything. The nail polish took forever to dry and It's been almost 24 hours and this nail polish Will still make marks if it's been touched too hard so that seems weird to me that it hasn't dried yet. Not good experience, ESPECIALLY for the prices they charge. Another girl there was giving me looks and later was moved to sit next to me and whispered " I am never coming here again omg" I thought that was funny I wasn't the only one! Would not recommend at all

Never walked in with previous owner, so like at any time when you think of "omg it's time to get my nails done ASAP... let me try out another salon around the area..." My pedicure is GREAT and I would probably go back here for pedicures with the same woman. I don't know her name but she's the youngest one working there. My toenails look awesome after several days of running and even yard work - and the price is fantastic. HOWEVER. Do not get waxing here. I knew better and I let her do it anyway. You know better too. One other thing: I hate loud TV's playing the horrible, horrible news in nail salons. Everyone should get rid of them, or ONLY have a very neutral channel on like Food Network, and still mute the sound and play relaxing music. Terrible and such an easy fix!

I really like the design unicorn. So I give it a try at Top Nails with Allison. She did very amazing job, and she really take care of my nail. It turns out more than what I expect and I definitely will come back for another design. I feel very comfortable and quite and relaxing here for the music and friendly staffs.

The nail tech was so rough with my big toenail that it cracked right in the middle of it. She had to take nail glue to it, and I don't have money to be getting pedicures all the time to go have this fixed. This was the woman with, I believe some red in her hair. And honestly, what sort of person do you have working there, after she did that to me, I went into the smoke shop next-door and saw her arguing with the poor girl at the counter about the price of lotto quick pick tickets. She was YELLING at her. Like ma'am, she doesn't make those prices, California state lotto does. She's just out here ruining everyone's day. read more

Terrible pedicure, the treatment was unpleasant. I told her that she needed more paint on the big nail. pulled my foot and when her finished putting on my sandals I told her that needed to remove the separator on my toes. She didn't want to do it. I started to do it. She pushed my hand away. Terrible staff. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was really upset with the results, they look nothing like what i asked for. On top of it i was overcharged about 25 dollars. They also cut my fingers multiple times with unsanitary tools. Overall the nails look horrible, the french tip is smudged and the top coat is not clear the nails are also very thin and not at all shaped. Would not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I've been to so many nail salons in my life. None have left me speechless and In awe of their dedication to their art. I've been here twice, and both times I was a walk in. Usually as a walk in I am treated like a last minute, least important client but no matter how many people, they always make me feel important and comfortable. They go above and beyond any other nail salon I've been to. They are gentle and thoroughly take care of you. You do need to be clear about what you need and don't be shy about speaking up. The employees and - who I assume to be the owner- are all extremely friendly and hospitable. I highly recommended stopping by (or better yet, scheduling!) an appointment here! Edit: yes they do take a very long time here, but they're here to pamper you and make you feel great! If you're looking for a rushed job that won't last, this isn't the place to go. They're dedicated to their work. Don't expect to be in and out in 40 minutes. read more

This is my first time going to a nail salon for a manicure and pedicure since I am a guy. I was tended to immediately when I stepped into the door. The workers here were very nice, pleasant and sweet. The place overall was also very clean and organized. The prices were reasonable for the services as well. Crystal did an excellent job! She was very detailed and took her time. I would recommend her if you don't know who to go with. Overall, a very positive experience for my first time getting my nails done :) read more

I had an appointment booked today at 10:00 and arrived 5 minutes early for a manicure and eyebrow wax. The owner Lynn made the appointment and I usually go there for my eyebrow waxing. When I arrived she had taken another client who she was working on. I had to wait 45 minutes for her to finish with the walk in. At that point I only had time for my eyebrow wax. I asked her why she makes appointments and doesn't bother to honor them. I do not recommend this salon because they don't value other people's time. read more

I get my nails done here every two weeks. I enjoy the staff they're very kind or at least the ones that I've had interactions with. The prices are reasonable. They have a massage chairs which is nice. Sometimes they do get a little bit busy. But I've never seen more than four people there at a time. read more

I had the worst experience possible here and I would not recommend this place to anyone! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE. I had an appointment for 5 to get my gel nails removed. The women left my nails soaking for an entire hour while she helped other people. When she came back she filed very little and then helped another customer. By this time it had been an hour and a half and I had to ask someone else to help me. I sat in this place for nearly 2 hours by the time I was leaving. I will not be coming back here. read more

AVOID! If I could give no stars or even negative stars, I would. My experience here was the WORST mani/pedi of my life. I had an appointment and still waited 30 min. After finally being brought to a chair it took TWO HOURS for a BASIC mani/pedi! It would be one thing if it was flawless, but it was far from it. Worst experience and longest crappy mani/pedi I've ever had. read more

Extremely disappointed. Not only did it take almost 3 HOURS for a regular pedicure and a dip mani, the quality of the service is very poor. My dip manicure chipped the NEXT DAY after the service. Additionally, there is very little color selection for dip. The pedicure was fairly standard, but cuticle care was very lacking as I still had dry skin around my nails. The dip manicure was one of the worst nail experiences I have ever had. The woman doing the manicure had to pull up instructions on her phone because she clearly did not know how to do the dip manicure. I had to ask her to clean up my cuticles before she started, otherwise she would not have done that step, which is essential for a manicure! Then, because she was so new at this type of manicure (don't advertise it if you can't do it!) she had to redo each finger at least twice. In the end, the nails don't even look nice! To make matters increasingly annoying, she would stop randomly between steps (which is bad since dip manicures are a time-sensitive process) to chat with one of the other women and mess around with some new nail design printer they had (it doesn't work). For this 1 star experience I paid $63. Not going back and don't recommend. read more

I used to come here when I wanted my six year old to also be pampered due to them having the kids spa chair. Apparently they are under new management and no longer have it. I broke a nail (pink and white) and went in to have it repaired. I usually go to Glendale to get my nails done but didn't want to drive for one broke nail. Bad idea... the pink is NOT pink at all, it looks clear, very wide and NOTHING like my other nails. The nail tech was very nice but did not do a good job. I will NOT be coming back to this nail shop. My opinion is the individual who fixed my one nail is very inexperienced and should not be doing acrylics at all. read more

I got my mani pedi done. The pink color bubbled on my hands and feet, and I asked that they redo it but I had to use a different color because all their polishes are old. My toes are nice on one foot and the other looks terrible. I asked for a nail file to try to even out the nails she cut crooked. Now it looks stubby ugh A totally different person repainted my nails and it's better. Honestly, I could have done better at home. Jeez who do you have to kill to find a good nail shop around here! They are nice, the place is stuffy but clean, and the prices are like all these other nail places. Same ol same ol. Still looking for my nail place *sigh* read more

First visit, not sure if I'll return. I called ahead of time to request "Allison". Arrived at agreed upon time and was told Allison is in Vietnam, but there is someone else who can do it... went against my better judgment and stayed. I wanted a basic French tip gel manicure ($30). Linda had a difficult time with smudging, but she was very kind. She tried her best. I told her to just paint them a solid pink... that became a task. Other listed colors were unavailable. After an hour and a half, I resigned to red. The surrounding skin was painted as well. Random glitter accidentally sprinkled onto one of my painted nails. I'll consider returning in hopes the results would be satisfactory. read more

Yay I finally found my GO TO nail place I used to go to Expert Nails down the street , ROACHES and customer service became out of control ! Top Nails. The place looked clean and pleasant, not over crowded. The massage chair was comfortable enough, but did not work well, so I turned it off (no stars lost for this, it's not a massage place, but the chair should work). Linda did my pedicure. She was quiet (great) and fast, too fast (not so great). 30 min from start to finish. From google, regular pedicure: A simple treatment that includes foot soaking, foot scrubbing with a pumice stone or foot file, nail clipping, nail shaping, foot and calf massage, moisturizer and nail polishing. Lost 2 stars: no foot soaking, she started working on them 2 minutes after I sat down. Nails not shaped. She trimmed my nails, but hardly worked on the corners (nails or skin). No foot or calf massage. The massage part of the pedicure was a joke, there was zero pressure applied. Massage lotion left my skin irritated and with a slight burning sensation. Parts of the nails are not covered by the nail polish and uneven layering. Uneven nail edges, she spent a few seconds on the cuticles. Here is a pic, 1 day after the pedicure. Most nails don't look great, but especially the middle toe (right corner). Maybe the other pedicurists are better, so I am giving it 3 stars, instead of 2 for the service that Linda provided. read more

Everything from how the lashes were not long lasting to how their eyes burned during the application process made me wanted to cancel my appointment, but I really needed to get my lashes done for the weekend so the desperate side of me decided to stick to it. I had initially made my appointment with a tech by the name of Cindy for 9:30am, but then I received a text notification that my appointment was updated to 10:00am with Tina. The day before the appointment, I received another text from Sumi asking if I would be able to come in at 10:15am instead, which I was okay with. I am very familiar with the area so I found the place and parking without any issues. I arrived on time and only waited about 5 minutes for Tina. The check in process is all the same for all Sumi locations - check in on an ipad with your phone number. Tina was very friendly, and went over styles with me. There was some burning from the glue but it wasn't too unbearable. I was done in about an hour for a full set of Volume Wispy lashes. The total including tips cost me about $160+. The verdict: I was VERY happy with how my lashes came out. It's been two weeks and I still have the full set of lashes. I am glad I did not back out of my appointment after reading some of the negative reviews, and I do plan on scheduling my next appointment soon for a fill.

My daughter made the reservation in her name. I drove up from Orange County to have a special birthday spa day with her thinking I'd be paying $150 or so. I was shocked at the prices I was charged. I am a senior person on a limited budget and my daughter is unemployed and this was way more than I could afford. To pay well over $366 (including a gratuity which, when I think about it, should have been much lower) is ludicrous. I had to choose the gratuity percentage before I even knew the price of the services! So $300 for two gel manicures and two pedicures is absolutely ridiculous - especially during these times. The manicure itself for me was fine. My daughter had clear extensions put on because she was told in broken English "the color she chose would not look good on short nails" so she was manipulated into getting extensions. Even with glue on nails - at least one of which was glued on incorrectly - her gel manicure shouldn't have been more than $50. They charged $110. Even a new set of acrylics would have cost less. If you have loads of money and time (2-1/2 hours!) and like being ignored and charged for every little thing that is normally part of any other service, then throw your money away here. And, yes, this was the Pasadena location.

First, instead of properly wrapping my nails in foil with acetone (the standard and safe method), the technician placed my hands into bowls lined with produce bags filled with pure acetone -- without even telling me. I thought it was water until my skin started reacting and feeling painfully dry. The smell was so strong it gave me a headache, and at one point she had to cover my hands with a towel because of how overwhelming it was. Next, she used the wrong tool to remove my Gel X nails, which damaged my cuticles. On top of that, she skipped basic cuticle care altogether -- something you expect as part of any manicure service. My nails looked worse leaving than when I walked in. I called afterward to express how unsatisfied I was, and when I returned with my boyfriend, he had to point out how unacceptable the results were. Only then did they fix the damage, and they persuaded me to remove my initial Yelp review. Out of fairness, I did. However, when I came back later for an eyebrow service, the same technician openly gave me attitude -- even sucking her teeth at me -- clearly because I had complained before. That level of unprofessionalism is not okay. Overall, I would never recommend this salon. The lack of proper technique, unsafe practices, and unprofessional behavior toward paying customers is unacceptable.

I have been coming to Top Nail Beauty Spa for a little over a year now and have never been more satisfied. In the past, I went to places that seriously ruined my lashes to the point where all of my real ones either came off, fell off, or were pulled off at each eyelash extension visit. Iris is very passionate about making sure your own lashes stay strong, healthy, & clean and won't even let you leave until they look good up to her standards and yours. She is sweet, flexible, and doesn't mess around when it comes to having perfect eyelash extension. She's honest about what you can/can't have and will not try to sell you a dramatic look that will totally ruin your lashes. You can get expert service from any of these ladies, and they are all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. There are other manicurists in the salon who are quite good too. I have been coming here for over 25 years, and even though I recently moved to Lake Arrowhead, I drive to Altadena for all my manicures and pedicures. Their prices are very reasonable, and I always pay a little more to get extra massage time. The salon is a great place to relax; in fact, I frequently catch up on my sleep while getting my nails done! Called to set up a same day appointment and the gentleman who answered the phone was gracious enough to fit me in. As I arrived I was attended to promptly. I sat in my spa chair and noticed the chair was broken (massage,back adjustment, foot soak) I could over see this as long as I had a decent pedi. My technician came over with already opened implements. The buffer and nail emery board had signs of previous use. I brought that to her attention and she embarrassedly changed them. Nail places should know how vital it is to have clean implements for each customer. Nail/foot fungus and any form of transmitted diseases depends on them and how sanitary they are. Shame on you. It is not enough that some of your personal assures proper cleanliness, it should be ALL your staff. read more

First time here I must say this has been the best nail salon I gone to so far. David did my pedi he was so gentle and not once was I uncomfortable he took his time and the message was great as well. Sandy did my pedi she was so nice and she was very detailed in doing my nails and not once did I feel she was in a rush she is a very pleased girl to speak with. Overall my experience was great. Helen gave the best facial that I ever had in my life. She took her time to steam and clean my face thoroughly. She extracted all the black heads. She has the hands and touch to massage on the face, neck and shoulders. You all should come and try it out, then you will experience the difference from others, then you will see what I mean !!!.
