One of the best nails salons I have visited. I started coming here over a year ago so I'm late on my review. I like it becuse they do a really good job, they use high quality products, their prices are very reasonable, and they do a good job in a very timely manner. I don't have to worry about spending 3 hours in the salon or getting out quick and my nails no lasting at all. Parking is conveniently located across street and it's not expensive ( like $2 dollars) The staff is really nice and attentive. You won't be disappointed. My mom, sister, and I love this salon! Gloss nails spa is the absolute best. They have great service, very friendly staff, they're super efficient, and do amazing nail art. I'm always amazed at how great the nail quality is and how they're able to perfectly, quickly complete the nail i want. This is the only place I go when I want to get my acrylics down perfectly. I love the vibe and I couldn't imagine coming anywhere else. I always leave the salon with a big smile and feeling more beautiful because of the nails. About a month ago I came in for a simple gel pedicure. When the tech (Sally) sat down and started using the grinder to remove the previous color. She was distracted and talking to another tech and ground my big toe nail to paper thin. She realized her mistake, and didn't even mention it to me. I briefly saw it at the moment, but since she didn't acknowledge me I thought it was fine. She then went and got the liquid nail remover and put it on the rest of my toes. Now a month later my nail is so thin it ripped down the middle all the way down to my skin and I now barely have a toe nail. This is unprofessional and negligent. I have to pay the price (and pain) of her mistake. Be careful who you choose to see here, not all techs have the ability (or concern) to care about their work. read more

Had a sister date here recently and we were pleasantly surprised! We were accommodated as walk-in's, walked through the process, and seated. My sister was very happy with the result which is the reason for the 5/5. There's like an infinite number of colors and designs you can do so you can let your imagination run wild. It is on the pricier side so be prepared! Summer is the best!!! I've been going to her for my hard gel manicures for I think about two years now. She always does an incredible job, and my nails last for WEEKS (I'm consistently able to go at least month, but I try to go closer to every three weeks). She recently got a new tool for the hard gel that makes them look even better -- the gel layer is thick and really strong but it somehow LOOKS thin now, and really natural. I also really appreciate that she's gentle on my cuticles, and because she is, my cuticles are so much healthier than before I started seeing her. And if ever break a nail, she fits me in to fix it right away. I've gotten gel pedicures from multiple women here too and they're all consistently great. Highly recommend! read more

I've been coming to this salon since 2023--probably around 20 times total--and my experiences have always been hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great, other times not so much. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, I think it's time to move on and find a new salon in Pasadena. I booked my usual gel manicure and pedicure, but suddenly had acrylic nails being glued onto my natural nails! I immediately told my tech that I didn't want acrylics (they just don't fit my lifestyle), but she insisted it was "too late" and that it's what I asked for--even though I've been a regular here and always request a simple gel manicure. I didn't want to argue, so I reluctantly let her continue. The biggest disappointment was how my natural nails were handled underneath. Instead of being filed smoothly, they were cut in a jagged, uneven way and not shaped properly before applying the acrylics. Now when you look underneath, I have sharp, rough edges where my real nails were left unfinished. It's honestly just sloppy work for a salon I've trusted for so long. Update: The reason why I'm even updating this is because after my Valentine's Day nails fiasco, the manager did reach out and tried to fix it by giving me a week to come back and have my nails redone. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so for a number of reasons. Also, my most recent visit is telling me that I need to stick to the techs I trust or go back to my nail tech in another city. This past Monday (4/14), I came in after attempting to schedule an appointment and just decided to be a walk-in client. My nails upon entering looked atrocious because they had not been done in two months and two of my nails (both middle fingers) had hairline cracks on the side. I made sure to mention this when I checked in at the front desk and to my nail tech, Jane. Jane reassured me that it can be fixed since I was getting hard gel. Well today proved that was not the case. I noticed that the hairline crack on my middle finger on my left hand appeared again. I haven't done anything or used anything that would cause this. Immediately I called the salon to see what could be done. Only remedy I was offered was to come in and pay for the repair which would be cutting the nail more and replacing it with a gel-x tip for $5-$10. Now if this was a week or two later, that solution would make sense but for it to be less than 3 days, that doesn't sit well with me. For the extra $5-10+, I would be paying for the repair, I could've gotten an entire Gel-X set during my initial appointment on Monday. I'm a little disappointed about this but such is life. I'm going to try and wait until my next appointment and hope one of my usual nail techs is there to do my next set. read more

Here for an emergency service, my hard gel nail that I got done here 2 weeks ago has completely broken. Not to mention the gel polish I paid extra for was chipping the very next day. This place has the longest wait times honestly. I called for availability in 45 minutes and they asked if I could make it an hour-- sure. I get there an hour later and they have me and 10 other people they told the same time, wait another hour for service! The entire process (gloss + design) took an hour and it was a really pleasant experience! We showed them the inspo photo of our nails and our nail techs got started right away (I believe I had Hana (?) and my friend Kaylee). Everything was super clean, though they didn't have the exact nail color I wanted (a sparkly orange for Halloween!). Hana (?) was extremely detailed with my nails and I was super happy with them. I'll start with the positives: I love how clean this place is, and the vibe is cute and trendy. Unfortunately, the customer service was lacking. The two nail technicians I had today weren't the best. They chatted and gossiped throughout my whole service, and while I'm not the most talkative person, I felt it was rude that they made no effort to engage with me. Since it's meant to be a relaxing experience, hearing them talk the entire time was a bit annoying. Both technicians were quite rough during the service. The lady who did my nails accidentally cut me a few times with the drill, and the one who did my toes over-tweezed my cuticles to the point of pain. I was also not satisfied with the final outcome. I felt rushed when picking a color for my nails, and I sensed their impatience. Neither technician checked in with me to see if I was happy with the color, which I wasn't, but I didn't want to make a fuss. After leaving, I noticed some lumps in my nails, indicating that they didn't do a good job smoothing the polish. Lastly, when I went to check out, the final total was questionable. I asked them to verify how much I owed, and they discovered they had overcharged me by $20. If I hadn't asked, I would have paid the incorrect amount. I asked the nail tech to please even out my nails because one of them broke prior to me coming in. She told me I shouldn't make them short, or it would look weird, but then insisted on keeping my short nail, the pinky ( the nail that broke) short and the rest of my nails along. Additionally, the paint job and the cuticle cleanup is not good. There are a lot of light points on my nails for 80 bucks a forsure letdown. I also had asked from the beginning if I could just takeoff my gel and start fresh she insisted on just doing a gel fill which I told her wasn't gonna work because I had noticed lifting and then halfway through said she was gonna charge me for a whole takedown service because a gel fill wouldn't work, which I already knew. I payed $170 for something completely unacceptable. I asked to get my toes cleaned a little bit more and she said she already did it also I payed for deluxe and the services that came with it she said I didn't need it. I wasn't going to make a scene but I was extremely disappointed. My nails from my hands were crooked and the glue from gel x is glued to my skin underneath.... Once I got in my car I observed my toes and nails and I was able to still see all the dead skin I was telling her about. I will never be coming back! I called the front desk to ask for the name that did my toes and the lady said "sally" ? Hopefully they can bring their prices down with that quality of work .. read more
