I've given this location two chances in the past week, and both times left disappointed. I came in for a simple manicure, only to be told they "didn't have time" and asked me to return at 6pm--even though the salon was far from busy. When I asked about making an appointment for 6pm to avoid this problem, I was told they don't take appointments and only accept walk-ins. Translation: walk in, get turned away, and try again later like it's some kind of nail salon lottery. You're expected to keep coming back at their convenience, with no guarantee you'll actually be helped. The lack of organization and courtesy is frustrating, especially when there are plenty of other nail salons that respect their customers' time. I walked into this nail salon and immediately felt unwelcome. As soon as I walked in, the woman who appeared to be the manager was on the phone. I said hello, and she completely ignored me and even rolled her eyes without acknowledging me or greeting me back. When she got off the phone, she told me there would be a long wait, but she said it with a rude attitude. I politely asked how long the wait would be, and she said about an hour. I told her that was fine and started to sit down. Before I could even sit, she came up to me in a very rude tone and repeated that there was a long wait and that they had appointments ahead of me. She also told me she didn't want me asking why it was taking so long since she already told me other customers were ahead of me. I reassured her that it was okay. She continued repeating herself in a rude manner, which made me uncomfortable. I finally asked if she wanted me to wait or leave because I was confused. She responded by saying it was up to me and that she was only telling me so I wouldn't complain later. The entire interaction felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. I understand businesses get busy, but there is no reason to treat customers this way. A little pricey but she did a good job and it was really quick. I have small nails so I was concerned the nail sizes were not going to fit but it turned out great. My manicurist was on a personal video call looking at store items on a shelf and choosing a purchase while servicing me! Staff who were not working, were next to me in client chairs speaking/laughing loudly to one another. Myself & other clients felt invisible and paying premium rates for this far from relaxing experience. I had to request a top coat on a french pedicure because my manicurist was so distracted with her video call & socializing with other staff. Instead of socializing, maybe clean the tables, get rid of disgusting towels my feet were on, and treat customers more professionally. I have been coming to this nail salon since 2020 when I first moved about a mile away. I've always been happy with how meticulous and detailed they are. As I work long hours and don't get many days off to errand related tasks done I like to choose reliable places I know. The first thing that really impressed me about DJ nails was they had a two week insurance policy for any chips for gel. While I never had any problems with chips from the gel, I did switch over to dip powder for my manicures. Again, I never had any problems. Until today. The manicurist did not cut my cuticles and then after I noticed she didn't -- I mentioned that I was wondering why she had not gotten them but started to put the powder on. She then said oh you want your cuticles cut and then I replied- Yes, she then replied back and said because she had already put the dip powder on, she would not be able to cut them till after. I said OK But I already assumed that's interesting because she's not gonna be able to cut them as I would like because now there's powder filled on my nail bed, I was hopeful for her professional expertise and opinion that it would be taken care of and the proper way. She then proceeded to finish the dip powder and basically dance around my cuticles, with the drill machine not the cuticle cutter. I already figured OK I'm gonna have to come back in one week instead of two weeks because this is definitely not how I like it but if I had been told that I was going to be charged 8$ extra for this 55$ dip powder manicure that then was 10$ more for the tips- meaning 65$ and I was still going to have to pay 8$ for my simple Cuticles? I would have asked for a regular gel manicure or left across the street where they don't hide prices till checkout. She left them dry and even worse than before because now of the machine rubbing against my skin on my fingers, it just looks ragged. Also, because she had me put my fingers in water to soak after putting the dip powder in. I assume that is why I have the bubble on the right middle finger that shows where the topcoat is coming off. In all my years, I've never had someone put my fingers in water after putting dip powder or even gel to then cut my cuticles when my nails are not fully dry. I'm extremely disappointed and unfortunately because of work, I will not be able to rectify the situation even with anther salon for a few days. I would understand if the nails were actually done correctly the price point especially with prior knowledge of the price being what it is, but for this to be the quality for what I paid for I will have to be choosing a different salon if management is not able torectify the situation and if you are coming in ask for the price even id you have been coming for years. The next thing I know I'll get a charge sitting in the chair alone as an add on. It's bamboozling at its finest. read more

I've had two of the worst powder/dip manicures ever. I went back to give them a second chance because the first manicurist was so sweet. Neither one of my manicures lasted even one week without cracking and chipping. The second time I went. I also brought my daughter along to get a classic manicure and that was cracked the next day and chipped two days later. I'm extremely disappointed they have now offered to redo my nails maybe not for me to return because this doesn't normally happen. I have been coming here for Gel-pedicure and Gel-X nails for a couple of years every 2-3 weeks and never had a problem other than spending way too much money. In June I noticed something on my toe and asked the pedicurist what she thought it was and she said oh you probably bumped it looks like a bruise. 3 weeks later I went back for another pedicure this time it was bigger. I told the pedicurist that it looked like fungus. She said no you probably bumped yourself. I took a photo of it and sent it to my dr. and sure enough I had fungus on my toe. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH FUNGUS!!! I immediately took off my Gel pedicure and Gel-X nails that I paid $130 not including tip and started to research how to treat my nails plus my Dr. prescribed a medication. Here I am a month and 1/2 later and it's just now looking a tiny bit better. So gross and disgusting. With the prices you charge I would expect that the instruments would be cleaned and sanitized after every customer. I will never be coming back here again. It was my first time here today and I have to say, I've never been with a nail tech who pays such close attention to my nails like Ashley does. She took her time making sure my nails were groomed properly, the fake nails were placed correctly, and even the color and design was so well done. She even went back to fix each nail that had even the tiniest imperfection, which I greatly appreciated. That being said, the appointment went by so quickly compared to others I've had! An hour and 15 minutes for gel x with chrome and designs. I got gel x (extension) nails, which are $58. Designs were $5 (they didn't specify if it was for each nail or altogether, but I got 2 designs). Chrome if I remember correctly was $15. I was also charged for removal of my previous nails plus the actual service and can't remember the costs, but they were reasonable. Don't forget to tip your tech as well! They have Venmo and Zelle for the techs if you don't have cash on hand. All together, I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable and quick everything was, yet how carefully it was done! I saw the nails of a customer next to me who came in after me. They were longer and much more intricately detailed than mine, but they were done before mine were. They also looked SO good-- you'd think it took 2+ hours, not 1 hour. So going off that, it's safe to say you'll be in good hands with any nail tech here. I'm definitely coming back!! read more
