I truly enjoyed the newly renovated nail salon now called Cleo. The wooden panels with inserted lights make the place look very modern and sleek. They even added a cute mimosa bar. My mom and I got free drinks on our visit. They are offering free drinks for the first week of their soft opening. I got a the tropical passion fruit (no alcohol). The ladies did a great job on my nails. I got a regular pedicure $47 and a gel manicure $65 I had broke one of my nails and the tech added a nail extension for $5 Total I paid $117 I had my nails done by Ashely and Leah. The staff took their time, and the entire appointment felt relaxing from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, especially considering it was their very first day of soft opening. A nice bonus was the complimentary drinks. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't overly strong, but it was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up while I enjoyed my pedicure. Then I waited another 40 mins before I walked out. I walked out because a customer who arrived after I waited 40 mins, was immediately seated and greeted. The difference between that customer and I was that she was Asian and spoke the nail techs language, and I'm not. I like my nails short and I get the cat eye design. The cat eye design always turn out soo cute and they have a lot of nice colors to choose from. I just met the worst manicurist of my life. I don't even want to call her a "manicurist"--she seemed completely unprofessional. I went to the shop and asked if a walk-in was okay, and she let me get my gel nails done. She was shaking her hand while removing my cuticles and applying the gel, and it took her forever to apply the base, gel, and top coat. But guess what--despite all that effort, the surface turned out super bumpy and uneven. The cat-eye reflection doesn't stand out at all, and the cat-eye effect looks different on every nail. On top of that, she never mentioned that cat-eye gel costs an extra $20; regular gel is $50. I just got home and now I see that I'm bleeding. read more
