SCAMMERS!! do not use this company! I was quoted 3 hours ended paying for 6 hours to move a one bedroom a mile and a half away with an elevator!!! If I could give this company a negative stars I would! And I do not really review places like this but this service was absolutely the worst- I had to review! There is a long list of reasons this company was the worst moving company I have ever used I will detail them below. I would not recommend these movers to my worst enemies!! I'll start from the beginning, me and my partner were moving out of our one bedroom apartment to a new apartment about a mile and a half away. We were quoted 3 hours for this move. The NIGHT BEFORE the movers were scheduled to arrive at 8 am we received a call at 9:30pm being told that the scheduled movers were sick and they would need to cancel completely or reschedule for 3-5pm and they offered no discount for this less then 12 hour notice change. After about a half an hour on the phone they then offered a 7% discount, after about another 15 minutes the customer service then said nvm they will just come at the originally scheduled 8 am. The movers came the next day at 8am. We had pre packed everything in boxes so that wouldn't be an issue. They moved at glacial speed. We kept asking if we could stay with in the 3 hours quoted they said no it would be 4-5 hours. One mover did not leave the apartment he used an insane amount of plastic wrap while the other mover was left to do all the heavy lifting. We also have an elevator which they used for all but maybe 3 pieces of furniture which wouldn't fit. We had a friend call in and ask why it was taking so long and they answered that they couldn't use the elevator ( blatant lie) and the stairs were narrow (another lie they are wide enough fo me and partner to walk next to each other one while carrying groceries) . By the time they were complete it was 4 hours just to move a one bedroom down two floors with an elevator to the truck parked right in front of our building!!! After the 5 minute drive to our new place (no stairs) me and my partner decided we needed to move this process along, we started moving our items. By the end we were moving so much quicker than the movers were- we were covered in sweat and they were perfectly dry. 6 hours later our we finished our move for our one bedroom a mile and a half away- DOUBLE the quote! After this we contacted the customer service, which is some of the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. The man constantly saying we are lying, making up lies like they didn't use the evaluator even though I watched the entire thing! He would raise his voice and cut us off while we were explaining our experience. Then saying it is normal for a fully packed one bedroom move a mile and a half away to take 6 hours. He never once called back. We had to call 5 times and never got a solution he never even completed the "investigation". After five calls that went absolutely nowhere I am bring it to my credit card company and will be making a case with the better business bureau. My main mover was Eddie and honestly he was simply phenomenal. He is the reason for this 5-star review! He was super professional and you could tell just a good-hearted person in general. He and his moving partner Bax quickly and efficiently shrink wrapped all my large pieces of furniture and took the utmost care to not nick any door frames, walls, etc and I was very, very happy with the experience! The thing that really wow'ed me at the end was the fact that when I paid, Eddie told me I had given them an extra $20 by mistake. I didn't believe him at first but he said he'd count it in front of me, and turns out he was right -- I did accidentally give them an extra bill! That's when I said, "Oh WOW -- THANK YOU for being so honest!!" And he responded by saying, "Hey -- that's the only way to be." I was already planning on tipping them well, and this last little thing definitely put my experience over the top as far as good experiences go :) Pro tip: have all of your smaller personal items packed up and ready to go in boxes so that all the movers have to do is shrink wrap your larger pieces of furniture. I did that, and it only took Ed & Bax about 2.5 hrs to move everything from my house into the truck (they moved one bedroom and one main living room for me). It took them about an hour to move everything into the garage and 3 larger items (my treadmill desk inside on the first floor of my new home, and my desk and dresser to the second floor). Also, if you can -- caffeinate and hydrate your movers as much as you can! I made both of them fresh, good quality coffee and gave them 3 waterbottles each (cold, if you can!). Great company! I definitely recommend them. The two men were very friendly! They wrapped all my furniture very well and moved everything quick! However, there was a bit of a problem when the two movers moved the fridge into the kitchen. One of the movers was left alone to move the fridge into the kitchen and it was too heavy I presume so he ended peeling off the laminated wood floor from the apartment. I was very disappointed because it was not like a minor peel off. It was big and very noticeable. The issue with this is that I will be the one who will get charged for this by the apartment complex. It was not good. The guy who moved the fridge tried his best to fix the problem but you can still see the damage. The other issue was that when I first contacted the company for the service, the person I spoke with, I forgot his name, but he assured me that I would get a discount if I had Yelp. So, when it came time to pay I informed the mover about this and he contacted his boss, I presume it was his boss who he was talking to, it turns out he didn't want to honor what I was first told when I called. At the end of the day, I was disappointed. I got a discount because of the damaged that was caused to the kitchen floor and that was it. Now, would I hire them again? Hmm, I don't know. I would give no stars if I could. I made sure to explain the the weight of the dining room table. I was told 3 movers would do the job. After waiting for them to arrive, they stood outside for about an hour apparently discussing what to do. After the hour, I was told they couldn't move the table. The mover asked if they could leave it outside because "it would be easier for the next people." Naturally, I told him no I didn't want the table outside. They tried to at least bring the base of the table in and I wish they hadn't because all they did was scratch my floors and walls. I can honestly say this is the first bad review I've ever had to do on yelp. Do not recommend! My family was moving in-town, less than 2 miles away. We have a 3 bedroom home. We had everything packed in boxes and staged in the garage, ready to go. I have used movers 6 times in the past. This was a 4-5 hour job, max. But alas, the day begins. Movers show up late. I ask them how long they expected the job to take. Without even looking at the house or its contents, the response was "5 hours to load, 3 hours to unload". How convenient that they were able to squeeze exactly 8 hours out of the move. The team of 3 took breaks every hour and smoked cigarettes while sitting on our furniture. They had phone conversations while carrying furniture. I watched as they wrapped and re-wrapped every piece of furniture we had already wrapped. They took boxes we had already packed and packed them into larger boxes. They slowly took apart the remaining pieces of furniture and slowly wrapped the screws in tape (and still managed to lose some in transit). Sure enough, they finished loading right at 5 hours. How convenient. On the other end, they unloaded equally as slow, even with me helping. Everything was labeled with the destination room, yet they still carried everything in and asked where to place it. They assigned one of the movers to put furniture back together who apparently had no experience using tools of any kind. Literally every piece of furniture was missing a screw and none of them were tightened. I had to go back through and redo every piece of furniture they touched. This includes a child's bed and a crib... who cuts corners on a crib? When all was said and done, our garage was a complete disaster. There was no rhyme or reason behind where they put anything, even with explicit instruction. Our furniture was literally wrapped in an inch worth of plastic wrap. No wonder it took so long to load. On top of that, they left trash EVERYWHERE. But, it took exactly 8 hours, as they had quoted, sight unseen. Seems a little coincidental for my liking. So, now I am out $1,200 for the move when the salesperson told me it would likely take 3-5 hours total and, from experience, should have taken 4-5 hours. The lack of quality. The lack of common decency (not smoking on furniture from my kids' rooms). The sweat all over our belongings. The veiled wasting of time wrapping and rewrapping items to squeeze money out of clients. Everything about this move felt amateur and wrong. I have used movers for 6 different moves over the years and this is the first time I felt like I didn't get my money's worth. If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. I made a reservation to have movers today for 2 o'clock. And mind you I made this appointment 3 weeks prior. I was told I would receive a confirmation the day of and never heard a thing. I called and they said my reservation was from 2-5??? They told me 2 o'clock. I heard nothing all day and called almost 20 times, they kept saying "oh let me see I will call the movers" and would NEVER CALL ME BACK! well then 5 o'clock came and I heard NOTHING. I called and they said oh we'll be there at 8 for sure. MY RESERVATION WAS AT 2 and they think 8 is fine??????? Anyways I cancelled and moved all the shit myself. This company is the worst so unreliable and an absolute disaster. I would not recommend ANYONE to EVER use this company. Rant over. Update- they sent me a check of $237 to reimburse me for the inconvenience. This was nice of them to do, however does not put a better taste in my mouth about the company. Long story short: an incredibly smooth and efficient move with friendly customer service and dedicated team members, but a small bit of furniture damage/mishandling. My boyfriend and I received a quote from TMG within minutes of requesting. At an incredibly affordable price estimate of $84/hr, and confirmed availability on one of two requested dates I was initially skeptical given the small amount of reviews compared to other moving companies on here. However, the service really speaks for itself. Our 2 movers were scheduled to arrive between 2-5 PM Sunday the day of our move. We received a call to confirm we still required services the day before (Saturday), and another call 30 minutes before they arrived at exactly 2 PM. We were moving a one bedroom apartment with a flight of stairs to another one bedroom apt with an elevator. The two movers came in and assessed all of the furniture we needed to move and went straight to work. The driver (Aman) and helper (Sviatos[lavif?]) took almost no time to rest and required very little assistance on our part. Again, huge emphasis on their diligence and hard work. They spoke primarily in Russian, but there was not much difficulty in communicating our needs. Aman made small talk and Sviatos spoke English pretty well, so I can't imagine anyone would have trouble communicating their moving needs unless very specific. The hardest part of our move was a large couch that barely fit through the door frame and they got it out with no damage but a slight bend in our screen door hinge - highly impressive as we caused damage to our door when first moving the couch in. The only noticeable damage to any furniture was a slight scratch on the foot of our bed frame, and the loss of one peg that stabilizes a desk drawer. When wrapping up our mattress, they failed to properly secure one side of the plastic which resulted in a pretty gnarly streak of black dust/debris. Not a huge deal as our mattress is covered with 3 different protective layers and just needed to wash that cover. The slight bits of damage and lack of attention to detail on the mattress wrapping were the only reason I couldn't give a full 5 stars. Huge props to our courteous and strong movers. The move was only really a few large items, but they handled it very well. Overall they performed disassembly & assembly of our bed frame, moved a large empty dresser, a couple night stands, a desk, two office chairs, and desk cabinet. Hopefully don't need to utilize services again soon, but I would definitely recommend to anyone whose moving needs are not too extreme or specific and I would request them again! :) Thank you again Aman and Sviatos!!! read more

Moving day is always stressful. All Stress was immediately quelled when Bob introduced himself and his crew, to go over all the charges and sign the appropriate documentation, upon arrival on our moving day. Everything was exactly as quoted by the office the day prior. The crew was appropriately outfitted for the current pandemic and was very attentive to the times we are in with respect to that. We felt very comfortable with our interaction at all times. The 3 member team worked in harmony with one another to make as much efficiency as possible. While most of our goods was office equipment and files their handling of our items was like it was fine China and family heirlooms. We may have spend a couple of bucks more by going this professional route rather then renting our own truck and getting a couple of 'guys' from Home Depot (day laborers), but I can tell you having it all done for you is an amazing experience. It was simply point and load, as to what was going and what was staying. After a workplace injury that our insurance paid out over $70,000.00 on a freak and minor injury a couple of years ago, having the peace of mind of knowing your vendor's maintain such coverage is huge for me. When requested I was immediately provided proof of insurance, both California Worker's Compensation and general liability without excuse or delay. I would strongly suggest you opt for a 3 member team even for the smallest move. One works in the truck doing arranging and stacking, while the other 2 team members can stay busy loading or unloading. When we are provided great service our inclination was to tip accordingy and it was our greatest pleasure to share our thanks in the most appropriate form (money). read more

What a terrible experience. I called and set up an appointment to move about 3 weeks in advance. I told them that I needed the following things moved: 1) Fridge 2) entertainment center 3) mattress and box spring They tried to up sell me on getting additional movers to move these items because there is the added factors of stairs, which it totally reasonable but I told them that we originally moved these items up stairs with 2 people so we only need 2 people to move them. They accepted the job and then had me put down a deposit. Flash forward to the day before my appointment, they call me and again, try to upsell me on getting another person because there is to much liability for them and they don't want to be responsible. I told them that I'll sign whatever document they want so they are not liable to any damage and they accepted that. 10 minutes later I get another call stating that they have to cancel the job because they will not do it without 4 movers. So now I'm stuck with an apartment with stuff that needs to be moved and no one to move them. Ended up getting a truck and day laborers to move it for much less than what Top Movers was charging (95/hr cash for minimum 3 hours). read more

If you are in the Inland Empire area...be very careful and not hire thru this contracting company. I had the most non-caring service. Your belongings will suffer lots of damage. Rude service from the leader of the group who got exasperated because I insisted on reading what he wanted me to sign--Mostly blank pages on his tablet. The truck's sign read Happy Movers Company. I had so much damage to my furniture pieces because they did not cover anything with the tons of blankets they had. Lazy and inexperienced. No good leadership. They stacked objects on top of bare wood furniture causing damage. They dragged furniture across the truck bed, causing damage to the base of furniture cause chipping, rather than lifting and carrying. They took my things to storage and put them in any way causing more damage. Wood feet furniture on top of fabric furniture without protection. Wood Furniture put on its sides on the concrete floor of the storage. Wood feet furniture on top of wood furniture causing deep scratches and dents. I was charged and paid in cash. I received an invoice from TMG for about $300. less than I paid. I tried to get them to cover repairs and they agreed to only pay...guess what? $400. Remember, I was overcharged $300. by their lead mover. Sound fishy? No, they did not cover any repair. Yes, they did offer a claims form which allows 60cents per pound damage. Would I win? Probably not. Would I be jockeyed around? Probably yes. I still have tons of pictures to confirm this review. I spoke to Erica who was really polite. If I could... I would give zero stars. This moving company Arranged to provide 3 guys for 5 hours. Only 2 show up. Spent all day on the phone with the company trying to get another guy... three hours in, they tell me no one is available. He apologizes profusely and offers me a 7% discount to make it right. I explained that I was moving out of state and that I needed to leave that evening. I REALLY needed people- not a discount. He assured me that the two men would stay and complete the job. Didn't happen. After 5 1/2 hours, they explained their time was up, they were leaving. As they were collecting payment, Alex explained that he did me a favor and saved me money. I told him I needed the job DONE, I didn't need to save money by them providing less than what was agreed upon. I have used this company 3 times now and this last time will be the last. The movers were awful!!!! They dragged my furniture on my wood floors including my white bed frame and I had to tell him to stop. I told the office I needed my bed taken apart and they did not bring tools to take the bed apart. They damaged my wall and floors and when my husband told him, he said sorry but you could tell he didn't care. The office in the past always called a day or two later to ask about the move but I still have not heard from them. They are very reasonable price from my research, considering all inclusive costs of labor, insurance, truck, gas, packing material, included several big oversized boxes on wheels to throw in miscellaneous items from your space and also wardrobe boxes. After receiving crazy expensive offers for my move, I decided to take one last stab at seeing what Too Movers could do. They provided me a flat rate move and separate mover pricing. I originally wanted their cash price but after seeing the amazing job they did wrapping our items for a two location drop off, each 300 miles away from each other, I was able to work with the office staff Nora and Rachel to be able to have my credit card stored on file and did not have to make the entire road trip myself. The experience with the staff was exceptional. The movers were Vitali and Serg and another I could not remember the name however he did a great job also - they wrapped all my items with wrapping and blankets and tape. The items could be stored in a garage or storage unit with ease and security knowing they wouldn't get dusty or ruined. Vitali was the main driver and mover and was amazing at directions, followed our instructions, and found my house which is very difficult to find (live in the country of fresno) - and found the next destination with ease as well. They provided great service, an affordable price, and quality moving experience. When I asked if I could pay to keep the blankets and items wrapped for storage I did not feel like they over charged me on the blankets at $15 each. I was very pleased and my items are perfectly stored now. If you don't have an exceptional experience it is because you are a pain to society. I said I would not write a negative review but as I think about it, I have changed my mind as I should not have to spend more money including the $800 towards the moving company. The guys were nice, they communicated throughout the entire move. However, my toolbox was missing during the move. I used it that morning to unscrew cable wires and left it in the TV room. I needed it again to make one last repair and I could not find it in the same place it was left. I asked the guys and their response, "We have our own tools." The sad thing is, I had that toolbox 20+ years.My husband had to buy me more tools and we all know how costly tools are. One caveat if using this company, hide anything you do not want taken.
