Called for a duplicate key for an Audi Q7 and they said they could make it. I called several other locksmith to see different prices and every single one said go to Audi for the key we can't do it. If you ask them why them, they'll give you the most elaborate answer you'd never expect, but that's because they can. They are THAT good. When I first called, I told them I was shopping around and they said they rather work with me than to lose the business altogether. They also said that everywhere else would give you one price, then a service call and they might not even be any good. I have to say, after calling 5 places, they were right. They still had the best price and the best service. I called the morning of and they were at my house that night. My appointment was for 7PM and they showed up right on time and got everything done before 7:30PM. I was so surprised and so happy with the service I received from Ricky. He knew what he was doing, was very pleasant and patient and most importantly, he got the job done. Firstly, I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to leave a negative review. I called them, they told me I can come in to have my key programmed to the car. I called to make sure if I need an appointment or if now is an okay time to get the job done. I arrive and after some confusion they tell me the person that could do the job left on a call. --- this was fine as things happen. They told me to make up for it, they would just send a tech later to my residence to do the job at same rate as in store. Which I accepted. - I receive no call regarding someone coming to my residence to do the job. I call them later on the same day AND the next day, they take my phone number for a second/third time. It's been 4 days and yet no one bothered. I really hate to do this, but this was not courteous of them as a business and I had already lost about 45 min of driving in my first trip of being told to come in and then being informed sorry the person left for another job despite being told I'm coming. I wish the business had lived up to their word of getting the job done, but NO. They had 3 chances to get the job done, but they were unprofessional. read more

We took over a retail space but landlord did not have the keys to the doors, only the code to unlock the doors. I'm guessing maybe the previous tenant left on bad terms. Anyhow, to be on the safe side we called Top Lock Locksmiths to help us re-key the two locks and if possible reset the codes. I was given a quote which I thought was very reasonable. Two gentlemen showed up on time and assessed the situation. I knew it would be a tough situation because the original keys would be needed to reset the code, which we didn't have. The guys worked their magic, was able to re-key both locks AND reset the codes for us. I think they spent about 2 hours on the job, was so patient and very professional. In the end I was charged the original quoted price even though they spend 2 hours on site. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith. read more

Really disappointed with the service we received from Top Lock, especially after reading all these great reviews. My fiancée and I just bought a new home in Bellmore and we obviously wanted to change the locks when we moved in. After reading good reviews, my fiancée called Top Lock, who said they would be at the house at around noon. When noon came and went with no sign of them, he called to see where they were and was told they were 20 min away. After waiting AN HOUR he called again to see where they were. Again, he was told they were 20min away. He needed to make sure he was on the road to make it to my sister's wedding rehearsal dinner by a certain time, so he said if they weren't at the house by 1.30, he was going to just leave. Literally as he was getting in his car to go after waiting an additional 30min, the van showed up. An hour and a half late, despite being 20min away when he first called after they missed their appointment time. The reason I even give Top Lock 2 stars is because they were able to change the locks quickly and efficiently once they actually showed up, but it was ridiculous to have to wait around while continuously being told they were nearby. read more

Today I was locked in my home. Yep, that's right... Locked in. So I figured I would look on YELP to locate a locksmith. My local locksmith is so over priced I just couldn't justify using him. I read the reviews And figured I would call "Toplock" after 9:00am. My husband said try even though it was much earlier. Sure enough I got a real person on the phone, explained my problem, and within 20 minutes he was here. Matt, the owner came to resolve the problem. No catches, no gimmicks, no sales pitch. When I moved into my house I called Top Lock Locksmiths for two reasons. One, to rekey the locks on the house and two, to add a lock to the garage door which currently didn't have a lock. The guy came and rekeyed the two locks and took a look at the garage door and said it would be about $420 to put a lock on the garage door and he would have to come back to do that another time. Problem one: After a few days I thought that I was an idiot who didn't know how to lock my front door because every time I locked it, the lock would unlock. Without knowing it I was leaving my new house unlocked all day and night for a few days. When I called them up to say there was some sort of problem with the lock they acted like I was an idiot. They even suggested that someone was breaking in and asked if I had anything missing from the house. I assured them that no one broke in but that the lock was broken. They sent someone the next day (a different person than the person who originally came) and after looking at it he said yes, the first person did it wrong so that the bolt wasn't actually going all the way in so that's why it wound't lock. He fixed it and that was that. Problem two: After thinking about it we decided to add the garage door lock even thought it seemed expensive at $420. I called them up and said we were ready to go ahead. They said someone would call me back because they have to come and measure. After a week with no return call, I called them again and got the same story. Again, no call back. This went on for about a month. They continuously told me that someone would come to measure it and no one would call or come. Finally I called them and told them that I've been calling for a month and getting the run around. I asked if they didn't want to do this job or if they couldn't do it. They said someone would call me back! I told the person if I don't get a call back that day I am calling another company and leaving a bad review on Yelp. Needless to say, they never called back. So then I called another company that was able to do it for $190 which is less that half the price they were going to charge me! The other company came and said they can put a simple lock it for $190, they came back the next day to complete the job and I now have a lock on my garage door. read more

I was locked out of my apartment and called Top Lock solely because I remembered a little piece I saw on MSNBC regarding locksmith. Apparently EVERYONE rips you off and so MSNBC did a little undercover camera operation to see how badly these locksmiths were taking advantage of people that were vulnerable. And true to word, every locksmith that the undercover team called tried to rip the customer off. EXCEPT Top Lock. Only locksmith that provide quick and reliable service (some of the fraudulent locksmith attempted to remove the lock in order to charge more for the service), simply picking the lock in a minute or so and charging the customer the industry set rate. remembering that, i called Top Lock and was not disappointed. Fantastic service, quick, reasonable, knowledgeable & friendly! I needed 2 extra sets of keys for my 2017 Dodge Van - they are the fob ones with a computer chip and metal key in the fob - not self programmable. Dodge dealers wanted $300 EACH! Bought the fobs online and Top Lock programmed and cut the keys within 15 minutes of my arrival at the store-front. AND everything worked the first time. At 7pm one evening a piece of my screen door broke (causing the door to be stuck closed). I called Top Lock and they had a locksmith at my home within 20 minutes. Yes, I was completely sober and went to walk the dog when my cousin walks out behind me and closes the door not knowing that the bottom lock automatically locks. I found this business on Yelp and the owner was extremely polite, informative, and helpful. Let me know the price immediately and even knocked some money off when I mentioned his deal on Yelp that would not have been beneficial to me and the services I needed. He arrived in good time and it took him less than 10 minutes to unlock the door. The best part, he takes cards.
