This is an update of my original 5 star review. It has been 6 years since my door opener was installed. The only thing I have had to do was change the batteries in the remotes. I do this once a year as to not risk the batteries running out of power. I even got a call from the owner recently to make sure everything was still working properly. My first experience with Mitchell,and it was a good one. My storm door lock was sticking to the point we could not get out the front,of the house. Mitchell was absolutely amazing! He came on a Sunday at 7pm to help me open my door after I locked myself out rushing to my bday celebration at my moms house. After I realized I left the keys inside I felt like crap and it almost ruined my day until he called me and said he would come help us even on a Sunday. I needed the lousy old lockset changed at our new rental apartment. Mitch showed up promptly and gave a fair estimate for it's replacement. The new set needed to be ordered and a week later he installed it very quickly and neatly. Mitch was as good as it gets! He came prior to our closing to take a look at the locks to see what needed to be done. He gave us recommendations and said he would come back the next day with the proper hardware/locks, as the ones we had were not good quality. The next day he promptly arrived and got to work. He replaced all of our locks with high quality Schlage locks. He made sure everything was secure as that was our top priority. The front door lock was new (but not the best quality) and while Mitch was there, the key stopped working. Mitch actually went out to Lowes and bought a Schlage door kit for the front door to install. He came back with it in about a half hour and got to work on the front door. Mitch was very professional and very knowledgeable. We needed two locks changed to be key pad entries. We purchased the wrong equipment not once but twice, and Mitch was incredibly patient helping us. After two visits on the same day with the wrong locks, he made time the next day in between appointments to come and install them. I like to use local businesses whenever possible. I was looking for a locksmith after several unsuccessful attempts to have a handyman do a bunch of small projects that I needed to have done. I used Nextdoor in search of a handyman based on recommendations from others. I am sad to say that at least five agreed to the job and then ghosted me. My next step was to start breaking down the projects by type. I had broken the lock and handle on my storm door and I have the replacements ready for install. Saturday evening I put out two requests for bids with what needed to be done. To my surprise, I received an immediate response from America's Key To Security, Inc. In indicated he needed more information and wanted to see what needed to be done before he quoted and he was available to chat at that time if I was available. He came out on Sunday morning as discussed and even texted me to say he was running a bit late. I have to say that I learned more from him in 20 minutes about that door than when the contractor installed it incorrectly and kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with the door. It was "gaslighting" at its finest. Mitch took the time to show me why the lock was broken. In addition since the lock broke in the locked position, he said it was a major issue should there be a fire and not way out. He was only there to give me an estimate and pointed out that he did not feel comfortable in leaving without removing the lock. If you need an honest locksmith or door repair, I highly recommend America's Key to Security, Inc. The service was outstanding and nothing beats a great communicator. read more
